How do you deal with your neighbors asking questions?

I have noticed quite a few wammers on here doing things outside in their yard such as using inflatable pools or mud pits. Do you just do it and not care what your neighbor think or say? Do you explain it to your neighbor when they ask?

My neighbor is nice, but he always asks questions. He is always in is yard. He is always asking questions about what I am doing. When I get a package, especially large ones, he likes to ask what I got. I do not like to lie, but I will not admit that I got wam stuff. I know he is not trying to be nosey, and he just wants to socialize. I feel like I could have had so much more fun if I was able to use my yard for more wam related stuff, but I also feel like it is important to be a good neighbor and not do things which others find weird or creepy (like walking around nude covered in mud). A walled tent would be nice, but my neighbor would be asking about that too. I feel like I would need to think of a mountain of lies to explain it.

We moved out to the country farm with a pole barn that afforded privacy. Extreme but worth the investment

I remember I lost a bet with my ex girlfriend and she wanted to tie me to a lamppost and gunge me at the front of our estate. She could tell I was really uncomfortable with that but the idea only bothered me as we also had chatty neighbours however the idea didn't phase her at all.

Wait until your neighbour is out / on holiday, perhaps? Longer term solution, build / plant a structure in your yard that affords you some privacy - a hedge, a fence, some sort of walled area perhaps? Or, ultimately, move somewhere where your yard isn't overlooked - which is fortunately the position we're in, and certainly makes the whole thing a lot easier!

This would be a dream. I know the parents of a family-friend who retired and moved to a property down south in forested mountains with access to a creek. They have a cabin, barn, and a guest bunkhouse. It is secluded and would be perfect for a wam paradise hehe, but I bet it is a lot of upkeep to maintain the property. Also cellular and internet is not the greatest.

Nice! I need to meet someone like that. Maybe it would be better to do something in a forest preserve instead of my yard

Oh yeah! My neighbor is actually retired though. It is nice because he watches over the neighborhood and lets everyone know what is going on. But, he is outside every day. He sits on a pool deck which gives him sight into my yard . He is a nice neighbor to have, but it would be awkward for me. I would love to set up a tent with a shower and do stuff, but I am sure he would stop by and ask

I would expect most people 'freely' playing in their back yard do so because they have ample/enough opportunity to do that without being observed and therefore do not need to chat with neighbours about it.

We're fortunate now in that our back garden is only really overlooked by one neighbour - the next neighbour we think can only see the very far edges, while a wall-mounted fence blocks the view for neighbours on the other side completely - So if they're out, great! If they're in, just play where they can't see without sticking their head out the top window.

We were somewhat fortunate in our last property too, with overgrown trees blocking views from opposite, a fairly decent sized fence blocking views on one side and an extension effectively blocking views on the other as the houses were not side by side (plots on a curved road).

We're certainly grateful for the privacy, but then it's no accident either. We always look for a property where there is some degree of privacy in the back yard, not for the purposes of WAM play but that's obviously one additional benefit..

If you want more privacy, plant a tree or two, put up a tall fence or three, strategically place a suitable obstacle or four.. There are plenty of ways to explain a desire for privacy irrespective of existing relationships with neighbours, and I doubt any neighbour would challenge that. Set something up that means you can more freely use your back yard, don't worry about explaining WAM. If that's not possible, you can still play when the neighbours are out, you just have to know the signs to stop and be able to clear up quickly.

I'm thinking I might be able to come up with some creative 'excuses' when the neighbours are sat in their garden looking over. Wetlook is simply letting off steam during the summer heat. Playing with paint is an art project. And maybe mud is skincare. The neighbours don't need to know that it turns me on. Guess it might be harder to conceal for those who possess a phallus though... lol

I had a neighbor like that. He was nice enough, but always seemed to come out when I was gettin' ready to go up to one of the 'Grunge Guy's' parties, and I was loadin' up the car with my gear. And when I came back 5/6 days later, and was out rinsin' off my stuff in the yard, he'd come over and ask me what I was doin', and why everything was so muddy and dirty. I just told him that we went ridin' dirt-bikes and a.t.v's, and were ridin' horses, and it was a camping trip. The camping part was true, but everything else was made up. Just a bunch of hot guys who liked to play in the mud, get wet and messy, (among other things....), and have fun !!!

And it was none of his business anyways.....

I've been at two extremes. For a long time, I lived on several acres in the woods, in a remote area. I could get as messy and wet as I wanted whenever I wanted. It was heaven. Now I'm at the other extreme: in a house on a private road owned by rich people who don't want to see me greasy and messy working on my truck or just getting messy. They see me and my two housemates as poor folks who got lucky getting a beautiful cheap rental on their nice little private street. Also my housemates don't understand people like us, so to keep peace with everyone, I stay clean and dry at home. Until I'm free again, I mostly post synthetics of what I used to be free to do.
