I think I have more of a problem with February to be honest. It's a weird month, to short to be anything like the other months and subject to leap years. Also, I'll be the grand old age of 57 in 8 days time. I really don't know how this happened. One minute I am at home in my parents house the next I am a middle aged man. I still don't have a clue what 'life' is all about. I don't think time has passed me by. I am definitely older and wider than I used to be. However, kids, take this as a warning. Live your 'best' life as one day you won't be 17 anymore, you'll be 57 and it will creep up on you and whack you over the head like a rolled up newspaper!
Biggest thing with January this year was that we seemed to have a storm every second day... After my fitness took quite a knock last year due to work, I'm trying to get going again, so multiple days when the weather is not suitable for venturing out didn't help. Still, I've taken up swimming again after a good 15 years away and thanks to my sight, a years membership works out a fiver a week!
My sister's visiting this weekend, so it'll be nice to see her for the first time in several years, Kew Gardens and probably a fair few London touristy bits on the agenda.
Summer's shaping up nicely, Iron Maiden, the Human League and now AC/DC tickets secured. Amusingly, my mum is going to see Coldplay the day after AC/DC. I'm a bit concerned that I might be booked up on the two weekends that Splat tends to take place...
EDIT: Not the best morning, shopping delivery included damaged and leaking milk in one crate and bleach in another... First time I've had to wash my shopping... Some of it is in the bin, some is in the "unsure" pile post sniffing... You'd think they'd have responded by now, but seems not, still, it's not like such a thing could kill someone or anything...

Oh wow, thanks for the memory! When I was in the 6th form at school my mates took me along to see Iron Maiden at the Hammersmith Odeon. That must have been sometime in the mid-80s. The reason I got invited was I was always a fan of R&B/Soul and all my friends were metal heads! They thought it would be 'fun' to sit me through this racket for an hour and a half. However, I really enjoyed it. The lads put on a brilliant show and going to concerts after that became a regular thing!
One more question. What on Earth is 'Splat'? Sounds like something I should be going to!
