Yeah I think we might need to implement a new rule to eliminate these loser and boomer lines. I did it once before and it still went 9 lines but this time when someone did it the game just died lol. Perhaps group admins can a new rule to first page stating that if someone adds a line of this nature they are auto-boomed and must perform the potato themselves and a new person can add a first line.
I'd have to agree, some guys seem to want to increase forfeits to the Nth degree making them too much for me.

Because of multiple complaints, a new rule has been added to the first post in this game thread, i.e. the rules post:
If someone adds a line here like "loser and boomer must complete the hot potato", and if this post stalls the game for at least 24 hours without getting a boom, the person adding this line will be auto-boomed and must complete the hot potato doubled
. Anyone else is then free to start a new potato.

OK, so it's been over 24 hours since I posted a message here violating the new rule. But the game didn't exactly "stall" after that post because there were 2 additions to the hot potato since the offending post. However, nobody has been willing to BOOM since then. So did my offending post "stall the game for at least 24 hours without getting a boom", as the rule states?
So somebody will need to decide how to handle me and my post, and it shouldn't be me. This was actually why I wanted to test the rule, because applying it is not as straight forward as it would seem.
All suggestions are welcome. I put my messy fate in the hands of the Messy Hot Potato Game Jury

. I'd say the game hasn't stalled because people kept posting. I'd say you're safe for now
I also think regardless that you should NOT be penalized since you volunteered to be the guinea pig for a rule that is still being worked on. IMHO

Seconded regarding no penalty.
Here's an alternate way to word the rule to be less ambiguous, maybe? If a "loser and boomer" thread stalls for more than 24 hours, then the last person in the thread and the one who made it a "loser and boomer" thread both get the BOOM; if they're the same person they do it double.

The question still remains of how we should treat the current Hot Potato. It seems it should be stopped, but there's the matter of what to do about the 37 shaving cream pies that have accumulated. Maybe we should just divide them amongst the 5 participants?
