I have a gallon of chocolate milk about to go bad, so if anyone can catch me in the next hour I'll dump it over my head. Currently wearing gym clothes and sneakers but open to ideas from the catcher. Go! :p

I need to take a literal rain check. Yesterday's rain on top of a long wet summer, punctuated by a ridiculously wet September has put the mud I was heading for under several feet of water, and the trail has been closed, preventing exploration of replacement mud.
Update: as I was pulling plants out of the garden, turns out some of the mud churned up by ripping out the roots was soft and a little deep. Turned on the hose and churned it up. Here's the after picture. "During" pictures and video will be posted to my page sometime over the weekend. A few ok ones, some too close, video has a happy ending.
