Do you prefer to swim in clothes (or get messy in clothes) that become heavy or that remain lightweight and floaty?
My motivation to ask stems from an unintentional swimming experience I had very recently (message me for the full story!). So my question is, do people prefer clothes that absorb a lot of water or mess?
Edit: removed unnecessary blurb Edit 2: Added parenthetical "message me for the full story" to direct individuals to PM me about the story of my unintentional swim fully clothed.
i especially love to lie fully immersed in wool or fine acrylic/ cashmere out fits imagining i'm nigella lawson with the appropriate wig tights and skirt,,, My most memorable baths (and i have been dressing up to bathe for over 45 years ) have occupied hours of selecting the desired out fit usually triggered by seeing someone out and about dressed sometimes on telly or in a film have always invoved up toseven or eight layers plus a transparent mac or cape,,,,,
I guess I don't really think about it, but I'd say yes. Now as I like to wear raingear and rubber boots, they don't 'absorb' the water or mess in the same way regular clothes would. But instead, they fill up with water - especially trousers and boots, but also the pockets, sleeves and hood of the raincoat, and that feels amazing.
Last time I went mudding I wore bib pants, which ended up filling with mud. This was not at all unpleasant, but it was very hard to move in them as they were so full of mud and I ended up having to take them off in order to be able to get out of the mud, and then I had to 'rescue' them from the mud! In the end I put them back on again once I was out of the mud. Putting clothes that are so heavy with mud on was definitely an interesting and fun experience!
it depends on the layers of clothes! Iv'e worn 3 layers of messy clothing, shirt, jumper and blazer which feels amazing with food as well as denim which equally feels good to wear wet or messy.
