Ive noticed 0 notifications today and 0 activity which would trugger any of my notifications. This is strange especially for a thursday.

I think activity on the site will have plummeted as so many pages are inaccessible (for me anyways). Referring to Messmaster's earlier comment hopefully from this weekend all will be ok, fingers crossed.
Yeah it still seems like there are a few issues. Notifications and emails. The views and love icons on posts not updating. The actual last time on not updating.
Hopefully all will get sorted at the weekend, I understand it is ongoing.
Yes, I also have the issues re notification emails etc. I had an email from Messmaster yesterday and he indicated he was working on it as his top priority.
Also, in case anyone thinks I have lost the plot, currently (since the Upgrade) I can't update or edit any of my scenes so several will have bizarre Latin / Loren Ipsum descriptions when they are released. To be really clear, tho, the scenes themselves are totally unaffected, and download and play exactly as normal. And a pic is worth 1000 words. So don't be put off if the description is in Latin & not all models are listed...what you see will be what you get!
If you are not getting emails and or notifications try going into your profile and re saving your setting for them, I was not getting any and I did that and they all came through. Give that a try.
I already wrote MM in the PM, but I will duplicate it here, maybe someone agrees with me.
For me, the view count is a very important indicator that I use in my statistical calculations. I calculate the marketing conversion rate from which I then determine the fees for my models, the prices and discounts for my video scenes, and so on. Therefore, I VERY HOPE that the number of views is now stored somewhere in the UMD database and simply not updated on the pages. And I hope that when MM fixes everything, the number of views will be close to reality. But if all this time all views are simply ignored, and then they start incrementing from zero or from the last value, then this will greatly upset me, since my statistical calculations will become invalid and useless.
Of course, I hope for the best and believe in the success of MM!
All seems good for me last couple of days. Still getting a grey screen sometimes when I click login though? Only started getting that after the first day of maintenance.
Well, today I have a new message icon, but when I open my Inbox I don't see anything new.
Also yesterday, I received an email notification that one of the users wrote to me in a PM on UMD, but I did not see it in my Inbox. However, I was able to read this message via a direct link from the email notification, and even forwarded this message to MM, because this message was something like a bug report. Well, now this message is not available even through a direct link.
And I also see that the view counters are working again, but incremented from scratch, that is, the data for the entire last week is lost, which I was afraid of. Bad news for me and my statistical calculations.
Okay, the site's view incrementer is back running on its schedule now. So view and hit counters will start moving again. A number of other functions are online as well, including the one that updates your inboxes and notifications when you get a new message.

Yeh i get like a 2min lag from email notif arriving to it showing in inbox after a bit of page refreshing

Yes, I see the same thing. By the way, this bug appears not for the first time in the last year.
Notifications are working properly for me and the site is mostly fast and responsive. I'm not getting the inbox bug but I know that has happened before. Possibly message someone you know and ask them to reply, that may resolve it, when you read the new message it might reset the "new message" flag.

I am still not receiving any email notifications at all, sadly.
I did try the suggestion above of 'resetting' my preferences, but sadly nothing. I am just checking that others are still having this issue?
Tried to see if this is mentioned elsewhere before posting, but seems everybody I speak to is finding scenes are playing like a very slow slideshow. Is this a know issue?

I've occasionally seen that playing trailers. I hit pause and then leave it for a bit (open new tabs and read other pages meanwhile), give it time to dowload all the data, and then play. That usually fixes it.

By the way, I also always play any streaming videos from UMD, including trailers, very slowly. My download speed from UMD is on average 2-3 Mbps, which leaves no chance for comfortable viewing. And although the speed was always low, in recent times it has become even lower and more unstable. I thought it was because I'm on the other side of the Atlantic and my PC is hard to reach for US servers. I think this could also be true for UK and EU users like MessyForever. However, if users from the US would also massively complain about a slow connection, then I'm wrong.
As for the method you described, when you pause the video and "go to drink tea", after updating the UMD player, this method no longer works for me. Now when I pause the video I see that the download traffic continues for a while, then breaks, and I think "great, now I can return to watching", but there is no improvement, the video is still interrupted, and the traffic returns as if nothing was downloaded.
still having issues with videos loading i have watched from my notifications. have to hit pause and wait a while before it plays, should this be happening, or is the changes still being worked out?
I think I can provide some help troubleshooting the video issue. I went to the videos and went to most viewed and picked one of Jayce's that was about 2.5 minutes from quite a while ago. It played nice and smooth no skipping etc. Then I went to latest and choose the one with Vivi and that one stuttered and stuff like there was a buffering issue. I paused it for about 30 seconds and it played ok for a bit but then it went back to buffering. I am not sure if the video format that people are uploading has changed drastically be it size or quality etc. But the older videos definitely play more smoothly than the newer videos.

I can confirm that my older films seem to play fine. My new ones are the ones which stutter and buffer for me and others. I render the films with exactly the same software and settings I've always used.

I ran new tests and again I see that buffering stops when the video is paused and resumes when the video is playing. More precisely, buffering continues for several seconds after the video pauses, and only then stops, as if it hits some kind of limit. This effect is not seen by me in short videos, but it is seen with my trailers, as they can go from one to several minutes.
By the way, the buffering speed at the moment (17:00 GMT) is much better than usual, now it jumps between 2 and 20 Mbps, and not from 2 to 3 Mbps as usual. That is, in general, UMD can give good speed. But another fact remains that the paused video is almost not buffered (i.e. there is no incoming traffic from UMD while the video is paused), or it does this only for a limited time, at least for me.

Interesting, mine disappeared but I assumed it's because I dropped below 50 on site rank. There's usually a notification about it being extended / starting / ending but wasn't one this time. Maybe what you and I saw are related.
