I'm afraid I have to disagree.
Cynicism is a result, not a cause.
Respect is to be earned, not assumed. That breeds self entitlement.
Cynicism is the result, and its own cause. It propagates itself in a vicious cycle, something I see all the time, and it's why attitude has always been the #1 thing we moderate here. You have to give respect to get respect. It's earned and spent at the same time. It is a currency.

Okay let me get with the format!
44. The other huge thing I learned: That many people can like an exact same thing, but for way different reasons--and not even know it.
43. Oh, and another thing: That the commoditization of technology and equipment has revealed a new layer of talent that we never really knew existed before, and that's a beautiful thing.
42. All mainstream TV shows that feature any type of mess -- or even just hint that they might feature some type of mess -- are obligated to follow through and give us the messiest possible outcome, applied only to the most attractive females in the cast, and they must show it all to us from optimal camera angles. If they don't, the producers of the show are incompetent buffoons who don't understand the magnitude of how deeply they have let the human race down.
39. Any UMD user who admits to being female will wear out her computer's "DELETE" key 25 times faster than a male user.
38. Any UMD user who says he's male but uses a woman's image as his avatar will wear out his computer's "DELETE" key five times faster than a male user who uses his own photo as his avatar.
37. Sometimes people are just creepy. Giving them subtle hints or gentle nudges about this problem is as effective as treating syphilis with a band-aid and orange juice.
36. All the best pie hits in a video are shown in the preview photos.
35. There will always be someone whose partner goes crazy for WAM when he or she tries it, and there will always be someone whose partner dumps them on the spot when the topic of WAM is broached. You will probably find yourself somewhere in the middle. You never know 'til you try.
34. Actually, the cashier probably hasn't figured out what you're going to do with those 10 pies/20 cans of shaving cream/six tins of custard. Most people who are working a cashier job at 11pm on a Friday night don't have a vivid imagination. And if this particular cashier does, so what?
These posts have really made my day. I was reading on my phone at work, and the lines "Posting in the Classifieds section is like screaming into the abyss" and "Splunch is a word" both made me do a spit take. Hilarious. It's interesting...I've been coming to the forum for a looooong time now, so all these inside comments actually make sense. Proud to be a part of this community.

For every rule there are exceptions. And for me, the music Alumi chooses for PiedAsianGirls trailers is consistently cool, catchy, and rockin'. This is one of my favorites: https://youtu.be/I8l2USWG2jU

Well, you have to take it with a sense of humor. I mean, over the years I've used music from The Clash, Joe Jackson, De La Soul, Cheap Trick, Daft Punk, Bowie, The Beatles, and the Dark Knight soundtrack.... None of which I'd call "consistently terrible."
18 If someone says 'let me have it' or 'give it to me' when you are holding a pie then, no matter what the circumstances, do not ask them to clarify whether they actually do want you to throw it in their face, just go right ahead and do it.

The first Joe Jackson album is a true classic. Look Sharp! I'll fight whoever says otherwise. I also forgot Sly & The Family Stone, AC/DC, The Cars, Psychedelic Furs, The Police.... Basically you can get a pretty good musical education just watching my trailers.
17. You can please some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time. So just do whatever the hell Ya want! (Pies, outfits, setting, music etc)
16. No matter how old the pic set you post from your archive is, someone will inevitably chime in mid-thread with advice on what you should do to her next (And God help you if you have the incomplete set).
**Also, for interested audiophiles, that Maki and the Genie soundtrack was "Aegean Disco" by The Beaches.

A quick, two-point clarification:
(a) I wasn't counting trailers.
(b) Obviously no (ahem) reputable producer would use recognizable mainstream music without a license, so my comment refers exclusively to royalty-free music found online, or to music written by a friend of a friend who's a musician and who's happy to let you use any of his original bass guitar and saxophone compositions for free in exchange for the exposure.

Thank you, Plonk!! Good to know! Alumi's selections really speak to me but I understand him not listing the artists. And yes, gaz, I figured you were excluding trailers. But since you didn't specify that it gave me an in to give props to dude
10. If you see a scene you like for sale, buy it now. Do not put it off or think "I'll come back for that one next year". If you do, when you come back the producer will have closed their store and all trace of that scene will be gone forever. Wam videos aren't like mainstream movies, you won't find them at half price in oldies stores, 20 years down the line.
9. Back up your collection. Do it now. No, sooner than that. Winter is coming, and "digitus morghulis" - All hard drives must die.
