Greetings. Very soon we will see the final nail and end to the disastrous presidency of Donald Trump. Within hours the dream will be to see him finally escorted out of the white house once and for all and in handcuffs.

That is very good but what about the remnants of those who supported this man and his sickening ideas? What about those kind of people hiding in these forums? I am more than a little afraid thinking about it. Racism, white supremacy, hate and intolerance from a fringe group of people known to engage in violence. Trans, GLBTG, non-white and female posters here should all be concerned. This is a threat to the fabric of the forums and I do not feel safe posting here if people who openly support a man who is a racist bigot white supremacist are allowed.

This needs to be out in the open and we need to discuss it. If they are allowed, many will smartly find another place to congregate that does not allow open intolerance and hate.

If someone supported Trump, GET THEM OUT

I've been on UMD since the beginning(1997 or '98), and this has place has always been a melting pot of political leanings and sexual orientations and what the hell ever. As long as a person is not using the UMD as a soapbox for hate speech, let them stay.

BTW,you've been registered here for two hours, and you feel the need to tell us (and MM, I guess) about what to do with this longstanding forum. This leads me to believe you may have been previously banned.

One of the greatest things about UMD is the fact there are so many wammers from all over the world that the idea of discussing politics is so far removed that it doesn't even come up, even when people force the issue. Been here for as long as I have, I have not once witnessed anything in the form of hate speech or intolerance apart from the complaint of miss labeling of videos and a persons profile which was cleared up.

Lets keep UMD free of politics because the only mess we like is the fun kind.

This smells a LOT like the kind of self-proclaimed "social experiment"/lib-trolling previously pulled by Enigmahood (whose ID here was deleted within the past few months -- he'd been publicly threatened with a ban by the admin shortly before that for multiple counts of bad behavior re: political posts. But he may have deleted his own account in a huff; I do not know). Some of you will remember he pulled a very similar and odious stunt following the 2016 election, pretending his power went out and mock-assuming Clinton had won, and then using that as a soapbox to mock liberals.

As I am from Australia even I find what is happening in the US political spectrum is disturbing to say the least. Trump had made several harassing phone calls to one of our previous Prime ministers Malcom Turnball when he was elected in 2016. Now our current Prime Minister ScoMo (Scott Morisson), is a puppet for Trump with the Trade War with China, now even every day farmers are having their produced stopped by Chinese Officials at airports and dockyards/ ports over this major problem. I/we (primary producers) are dragged into this because of the US - China political turmoil. This is hurting us selling our products overseas now with state boarders closed only some aircraft and ships are allowed to travel. China has imposed blockages to wine, seafood, and other produce and now barley and wheat is impacted as well as meat products. Trump did this once COVID was not containable and he blames China for this and calling it "China virus". As I have Asian background this is more hurtful than some of you might think as coming from the US President himself and not imposing restriction's like other countries including Australia which has some of the toughest rules.

Re forum - Stay home

Even though I am appalled by Trump I don't want his supporters or anyone whatever their political leaning to have to leave - as long as they are using the forum for what it's for - wam related content!

Maybe by being a friendly and loving community we can show anyone who has hate or prejudice against LGBT+ and/or POC that there's no need to. We're all human, we all share a love for wam, we are all far more the same than we are different.

Encouraging segregation and being against each other is exactly what Russia wants after all - why play into their hands?

Spread the love and the mud, and let the admins deal with anyone who is harassing or upsetting you, that is what they are there for and encourage. Please report anyone causing you a problem.

Whichever candidate one likes/dislikes and to what extend they do so should be projected into the elections or in political forums that are dedicated to theses discussions, but not here. The only common denominator of UMD is supposed to be an interest in WaM related fetishes, not politics.

Also, historically and otherwise, calling for a purge of people solely because of their personal political views regardless of how they behave as individuals is possibly the most disturbing and scary thing one can do in any open community, especially an apolitical one.
And looking back in history, I can guarantee you those things never go well.

I think that every type of person that exists in society has to exist here to some degree. That's not the point though, it's how you deal with conflicts when they do arise.

I'm a believer that we're all wrong about everything to a certain degree, so it's important to listen when somebody has a point. I think good faith discussion can almost always bring all sides to an understanding if not outright agreement.

We'll get the occasional troll who is more interested in picking fights and sowing division than genuinely challenging us with an unpopular view. That type of person is easy to recognize and they will always be dealt with. Straightup racism and bigotry are good ways to get your account deleted real quick.

On the DM systems, nobody causing harm will be able to "hide" here. With all the effort we've put into the flagging systems and with the community working together, any disruption to the peace should be short-lived.


At this time, I have not found anything suspicious about Wamtolly's account.

Mirroring Candy here, if you ban people for being racist, homophobic, bigoted then you are forcing them to find other places to exist and vent. The only place that will be is with others who are the same. This breeds belief that they are correct as they have found their own community.

When somebody transgresses, it's best to stop them, point out why it's offensive and listen to their response, they might not realise or could change their minds. Only through communication and engaging can you change people (that want to change). By insta-banning you are creating more entrenched beliefs.
I sometimes go on incel forums, find the less idiotic/new ones and have great conversations with them.

As for Trump supporters, while there is a lot of hatred in the community, not all of them are. There are other reasons to vote republican. Also there will be bigotry in the Democrate supporters and all walks of life. (Also, he has not lost yet...)

I'm sure this can't be right. My memory isn't exactly great, but I do remember a producer did a controversial Islamophobic video back in the day.

It's also worth keeping in mind that some hateful or legitimately harmful threads are deleted from the forums so it's harder to remember them. (I'm not saying that some threads shouldn't have been torpedoed, just saying that it's harder to keep track of all kinds of silly bullshit that goes on given that some threads do get sunk to the bottom of the Pacific.)

Happy to be wrong. I don't remember this happening. I do remember some nun outfits being used and people asking if this was acceptable. Politics and relgion to me at least have no place in WAM.

It was quite a few years ago now and I beleve was deleted not long after release, but someone did a video with a model in a hijab (and very little else), who then ended up naked. Given that at the time there were fanatics going around executing people, I did wonder if the model had been made aware of the risk to her life should the wrong people become aware of the video.

Agree that in general politics has no place inside a WAM video, but it's still something we all need to be aware of, when you consider the number of times Conservatives have tried to block or limit access to erotica for example.

I think it's important to recognize there small groups of people on here who In the last four have had to deal with the far rights narratives and policies and have had to live fear of their safety. While umd is a fetish site I've seen at least a few things I felt were racist against Asians and the handful of people who voiced concerns made me feel good knowing some people cared more about taking a few seconds to comment on the treatment about Asians vs just moving on to go get their sex kinks dealt with.

Racism is literally the biggest offense you can do on this site aside from maybe trying to hack us. Any racist post not removed was likely not flagged or I didn't even notice it myself There have been a couple gray areas over the past decade worthy of debate though.

So, for all I know, the rest of the world LOVES corrupt government officials.

I don't want to make them uncomfortable about what / how they feel.
