Hello! I really don't want to gripe because I LOVE this site. The contribution you make to our little niche is immeasurable. The wam scene would be all the poorer without it.
That all said and done, i guess I'm seeking advice as much as anything. I find this site crazy slow. Pages take forever to load. And videos uploaded to UMD have been impossible for me to watch for several months now, and they were slow before then. I want to subscribe to a few of your stores once more but can't justify paying for something that won't work.
I have fast internet. 150 Mbps is what i pay for, although it is often less than that. It never goes below 130 Mbps. (I've attached speed tests for today, one is router-to-internet, two are device-to-internet)
I have the same problems across various devices from Macbook to iphone to ipad. I've tried various browsers too, again across the different devices. And it happens whether I'm next to the primary router or the child nodes I have set up around my house. Also on my mobile phone/cellular data plan.
And this problem for me is unique to UMD out of the sites I regularly visit.
Is there any thing you can recommend that might help with this? A particular browser for example? Some settings tweak on my end? Or is this a problem that needs to be tolerated for now until a fix of some sort from your end?
I get that this site is a huge undertaking and likewise is dealing with this problem. And again, I'm extremely grateful we have this site as our main hub for this scene. I just want to enjoy the site in all its glory and right now I can't do that.

For months it's been borderline unusable at times. No idea what's causing it. Super slow, videos don't play, images sometimes don't open and I can't zoom and pan around a picture anymore without the image closing.
I can also comment this has been getting worse over the past couple of months. At times I actually do give up browsing because of how slow it is. I hope one of the devs sees this thread.

This has to be of particular concern to producers who offer a streaming option because we (customers) won't be dropping money for something that doesn't work.

sent MessMaster a message about it as I have noticed it too On another note if you're using AdBlock or AdBlock Plus it will be fighting with your browser and can max out your PC's CPU, which can cause your tabs to freeze its super annoying had to get rid of it entirely and just deal with seeing Ads.
What's been driving me nuts more than the slowness is the fact that when I click on a picture to enlarge it and try to move or zoom it in any way... It completely drops the picture and I have to start all over again.
I'm finding navigating the site a lot quicker since yesterday. Not super fast, but huge improvement.
Just watched three short vids that had runtimes of 10, 13, and 15 seconds. These were ok after a few seconds of buffering. Tried watching a vid that was 3mins 45secs and that took longer to buffer then kept stopping to buffer several more times. That said, watching it would have been 100% impossible a few days ago.
I take the overall improvement as a positive sign that further improvements are coming. Many thanks to MM and all involved!!!
