The pics seen below are from the "lost" 1967 Sophia Loren tv special "With Love, Sophia" that was broadcast only once and has never been repeated in 59 years. This 60 minute tv special was filmed at Sophia's mansion and pool and her guest stars were Marcello Mastroianni, Jonathan Winters and Peter Sellers.
In this tv special Sophia dances in the pool in a flamenco dress and fishnet pantyhose.
PRESERVATION STATUS: This scene has been on my "most wanted" lost wetlook list for the last 35 years, and from my own research I managed to find out that this tv special is not truly lost and gone forever (i.e. videotape wiped) but I managed to track down that there is one master videotape copy that is currently held in the UCLA Film and Television Archives. I checked their library records and there is a note against the record that says the tape is in very poor condition and is too fragile to be released for screening, so it needs to be restored and digitized, which will require restoration funding to be given to UCLA before it can be released. So basically UCLA have this tape held hostage and are asking for a 50K donation to release it for restoration.

There are several major Peter Sellers fan clubs and societies, so this is a also a lost Peter Sellers show that has not been seen in almost 60 years, so they should start a funding campaign to get this show restored and released.
