After much consideration (years actually), I've finally decided that it's best to make sure the Wammer of the Day is a different person from yesterday. I was always a strict believer that the community vote should always decide the winner; Even if you won for a year straight, if that's what the people voted for then so be it. But there is a recursive effect where the winner is much more probable to win again because they are so visible all day. So I think it's more fair to let the runner-up win instead. You'll be able to win again the next day of course. You do get the distinction of being the one who overwhelmed us with love!

I haven't been as impressed with a user as much as bsmessybakery in ages. Nice attitude, great photo's and video's. I can see the different WOTD comes from a kind place but I can't help but feel BSMB deserves some sort of permanent visual acknowledgement of her record run such as a gold frame or something around her profile pic. Is that easy to do for you?
I'm sure Bri isn't that bothered but at the same time I think she would hugely appreciate the gesture.

I agree! Maybe add a special red title under her icon... If the community can vote on a good nickname for her (or if she requests one), I can certainly put that there

Likewise, if the community decides that any other person is deserving of such a title/nickname, I'll add it to them too!

It looks like the only way to make it to wotd is to release 30 pictures to your albums or forum posts daily. It looks like that is a new requirement. I thought there was a discussion a long time ago regarding massive photo drops on the forums and it became discouraged for some reason. Oh well. I think many of us will no longer be close to competing for the wotd title. I know ive lost interest in trying because what bri puts out in quantity we simply cannot compete with that. Congratulations on being wotd every other day. Congratulations again on raising the bar to a whole new level.

As you can see from my profile I have only been on the platform for 2 months I haven't reed or seen anywhere that it would have been a problem to post daily in albums or forums, if I'm honest I have spoken to mess master a lot due to me being so new and not really knowing how it all worked ( he has so much patience)

I have continuously looked at other profiles for guidance, the does and don'ts and what they post on a daily basis, and what I post seems pretty normal.

I'm a busy bee and I love sharing my content daily and I I've really appreciated all the support and love I get from people off this platform.
I'd like to say this is my full time job but it's not I work everyday and when I get home I am replying to everyone, creating content most nights staying up till 2am sometimes and waking up again the next day at 5am plus I care for my grandma everyday, I love what I do and I guess you get what you put in.

Thank you so much for the congratulations and please don't lose motivation to work hard to become WOD as it's all so worth it and your work/content is amazing and you definitely deserve WOD too

I take that as an attack on me personally. We all have other shit in our lives. I get it. But are you going to sit at a poker table where 1 person has skyscrpers of chips and just goes all in on every hand? probably not.

What about some consideration for those who have been around for many years, and therefore have won WOTD on multiple occasions, if not on consecutive days. Jayce springs to mind. Few can have given such amazing service over such a long time period as her. She must have been WOTD lots of times, and this for me is something we should consider reflecting

Well, just a second there, professor. We, uh, we fixed the *glitch*. So no one will be receiving WOTD every day anymore, so it'll just work itself out naturally.

Personally, as someone who's been here since the very start, been running a reasonably successful set of WAM sites for eighteen years, and been WOTD precisely once in all that time, I don't pay much attention to it. As long as the sales figures hold up, and bring in enough that I can go on paying my people to do more scenes, it's all good.

I'd like to once, for me it's more of an "achievement unlocked" thing.

WOTD is a crude popularity contest after all. That's truly the aspect that makes it feel good to win - and why it feels like such a bummer to lose out.

It's difficult to make such a thing 'fair' in respect of truly recognising the quality, merit and ethics of users. Heart counting is probably the fairest way to run it - as any amount of engineering and discretionary intervention usually results in even more unrest, resentment and even calls of corruption. Not to mention diluting the impact of actually winning. Hence award schemes in our field have usually ended in disaster or dispute.

Yes, it's possible and evident that one user can win every day for long stretches - but it is what it is and perhaps it's not that important in the scheme of things. Moreover consecutive winners won't win forever. In the long term it might not be doing their image any favours and anybody will eventually run out of steam.

It's nice to win it and I personally got there 2 or 3 times five or six years ago I think and xMrs Trouso - who was doing the modelling at the time won several more - but it can become an obsession. We were sharing content for quite a few years before this happened with no accolades and I used to try everything to make it happen. Before there were restrictions on posts it was possible to bomb the forum with random free photo dumps. I still usually failed - I'd get together 50 photos from a new shoot and post them mid-week. Then, of course Messygirl would release something a few minutes later on the same day (with 100 photos of a new model) and I'd be runner up, second or third.

At the end of the day, people vote for the content and the models rather than the producer. The most successful WOTD tend to be the autonomous models who participate and interact with fans of their own volition. They always hold more appeal - especially the younger females.

I do wonder if we should celebrate the top three or five as this, no doubt has seen a lot of deserving winners slip by. I'm other words - a slightly larger slice/squirt/dollop of the cream.

Perhaps the top 3 could be the 'Cream of the Wammers'? Rather than manipulating who reaches one, single top spot.

If a reward is earnt, it should be given. BSMB is producing great content, and now Ted the Menace might be a regular runner up anyway.

Bri humbly recognises she's the new kid on the block; reminds me of Margot Robbie (good stuff, with the public lapping up everything she does). Hopefully she'll be around long enough for me to upgrade her to a Marilyn Munroe.

A red title would need to be able to stay the course. 'Site breaker!' would be ok, but nor 'WAM Goddess' yet (that's Candy Custard's property as far as I'm concerned - and she's a Mae West in her prime if I carry on the film theme).

I know Wild Thang has been on this thread; Kate has always been a Meg Ryan to me (circa Sleepless In Seattle).

I really never thought anybody would be obsessed over the thing. Like you said it's just a rudimentary accolade system where your picture shows up for a day on the homepage. But I'm flattered that it means so much to folks.

We don't really have a restriction on photo bombs in the forums. I even removed the bumping rule altogether. If I notice that forum photo bombs are more or less reliably launching the producer in to WOTD whenever they decide to, then I'll tweak some knobs to put more weight on user galleries, etc. The aglo isn't really a secret so if anybody wants to know how it works, just ask.
