'Laurel and Hardy' are the original masters of 'slapstick' as it was known back in the day. This was long before words "Splosh' and "W.A.M.", 'Wet And Messy' became part of our UMD world. I remember watching these as a "skit show" within other TV shows back in the 1970's as a child. They would play about 5 to 10 mins of an 'Laurel & Hardy' show. People must realise that when filming a 'Laurel and Hardy' scene these were done with hand reels not a rolling film like to today. These took meters and yards of film to make only a few mins worth of filming.
