Not overlooked by me, cos since 1946 there have been 4 other remakes of the same scene also done at the exact same location, The Beverly Hills "Swim Gym". It was built in 1939 and is still in use as a basketball court with a swimming pool to this day. It was first used as a filming location for this iconic 1946 scene. Then:
- In 1977 they made a gender reversal remake of the same story, with Marlo Thomas playing the Jimmy Stewart role, and Marlo taking the plunge in the same pool.
- In 1988 the tv practical jokes show "Totally Hidden Video" recreated the same scene at the same pool, as a prank on people.
- In 2002 the mainstream movie "Whatever It Takes" re-created the same scene again at the same pool.
- In 2007 the pop band NLT did a music video called "That Girl" that recreated the same scene at the same pool.
I have all the clips in my archives. The best footage comes from the NLT music video where they produced a nice behind the scenes video of how they made the pool scene.
