Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to the games group. I noticed in the Game of Games that there was an option for the Edge of Glory, but it looks like that game thread got nuked. Well, we can't have a game missing on the spinner, but I don't know what the original rules are. So, I decided to make up a new game. This will kind of be like the wheel of messfortune in that it can be used for people who want (or are forced to from another game) to get messy consequences immediately without having to wait for replies.
To play, you'll need a bucket and a piece of clothing to fill. The goal of the game will be to fill your clothing without going over the edge and having it leak out. You'll be getting messy with the bucket between your legs, and trying to avoid filling it up. At the end of the game, pour your bucket of spills over your head. If the bucket at any time is completely full, empty your bucket over your head.
To find out how you're getting messy: First, spin the spin counter wheel to see how many things you'll have to put in your clothing: https://tinyurl.com/3rusfsmv We can't have a wheel without the opportunity to get messy can we? So, I added two special values. If you land on "Pie sandwich and reroll" you give yourself a pie sandwich during your session. If you land on "Gunge bucket and reroll" you pour a bucket of gunge over yourself during your session. Both result in you needing to reroll to find how many times to spin the messy items wheel.
Once you know your number of spins, head over to either the sweet wheel or the savory wheel based on your preference. Spin that number of times from the spin counter to find out what you'll be filling your clothes with. I did add a couple of specials that I'll explain here, these specials don't remove 1 from your wheel counter as they are directing you to respin: - pie barrage and respin: Pie yourself in the head with at least 4 pies, then respin the wheel. Remember any that lands in your bucket is coming back to you. - give yourself a wedgie and respin: Give yourself a wedgie in the front or back over your bucket, then respin the wheel. Again, do your best not to leak! - spinners choice and respin: Choose an item (doesn't have to be on the wheel) to add to your clothing, then respin the wheel - respin and fill to the edge: This is essentially the skull option. If you land on it, you must spin the wheel and fill your clothing to capacity with whatever it lands on. If your clothing is already full, squeeze out as much mess into your bucket as you can; we can't have people skip the death option now can we. Hope this is your last spin!
Most of the games on this group have some participation with others. So, let's add an optional rule! Give the next person to play the game an outfit to fill and a dare. Make sure the outfit is fillable (tights and underwear, not a skirt or dress). Some example dares could be: - before the mess starts: place uncracked eggs in your clothes - during the mess: Before using the spill bucket, run an errand in public - after the mess: sit in the mess for an hour, before cleaning up. Again, this isn't required to play if the dare is out of your comfort zone, but it is encouraged!
As always pictures/videos of pay ups are encouraged but not required. Items should be poured into your clothes unless directed however if you have other ideas then feel free to post them!
I'll start the game off myself so that everyone can see an example, but I probably won't be able to complete it for awhile. Well, my own game kind of wrecked me. My spin count started pretty high with the roll of "7 + pie sandwich and bucket of gunge over head". And it only really got more messy from there. Here are my 7 rolls including an extra item of my choosing and I actually got the fill to the edge...
- Rice pudding - strawberry syrup - spinners choice and respin (I'll choose Fruit cocktail) - tapioca pudding - cherry pie filling - fill to the edge and respin (result was chocolate pudding) - chocolate syrup - cake batter
To the person below me here are my optional dares: - outfit: Wear some athletic shorts with the legs duct taped - additional rule: After you finish filling your shorts but before you pour your bucket, do 10 jumping jacks over your bucket.
(Edit: I realized it was much more likely to get messy off the first wheel than not and felt it was probably too much. To fill in the wheel, also added more numbers, which makes it easier to have smaller sessions. All that to say the wheel has been updated since my post, but I'll abide by what fate chose for me.)
