One of my favorite things to do is to offer myself up to someone for a "clown makeover". Give them the greasepaint and say "Do what you will!"
Inspired by a show where they shaved someone's head into a traditional clown look and added makeup, during my most recent makeover, I handed them some clippers and added in the instruction that they can cut my hair however they want as part of it. That time, I ended up with an orange mohawk. I love not knowing what hairstyle I'll end up with.

If anyone is in or coming through Ontario and wants to have some WAM clown fun, let me know!

Nice, I had arranged to meet with a guy on a different fetish site who wanted me to join in with his clowning slapstick event - while i had the costume sorted he sadly never turned up claiming issues with the wrong type of face paint and ended up supporting a skin allergy.
Are there other forms of make up you can use to colour the skin ?
You've hit upon one of the other things I enjoy - coloring the skin. I've worked as a face painter.
Most people use grease paint for clowning makeup, as it can hold up under heat, hot lights, and withstand some messy play and still hold up. But it can be difficult to remove. (There are both grease paint sticks and grease paint tubs that you can apply with a sponge or brush).
When I'm face painting, I use professional face paints, which come off with soap and water. Many of these are designed to work with children and be very gentle on skin, but some people can still have a reaction or staining. Brands like TAG, Diamond FX, Superstar, Fusion, and Mehron will give good color saturation. Snazaroo, Tulip, and other off-brand paints are less good. For these, you dip your sponge or brush in water first, then onto the color, like working with watercolor paint. There are also face/body paints that use alcohol instead of water, and these will last underwater, but require alcohol or time to remove.
Another option is liquid latex. This is smelly, and is very hard to remove if you have any hair on the skin, and I would avoid it near the eyes due to the odor.
..then there are less traditional things. These aren't as safe...
I've also enjoyed working with markers. There are markers specifically designed for drawing on skin. Some wash off with water, while others require more time to wear off or come off with alcohol. (While less safe, I have also enjoyed playing with both sharpies and washable markers from skin.)
Many people use acrylic paint to color the skin. This is cheap, is pre-mixed with the water, but isn't designed for skin so more likely to cause a reaction. I have also played with latex house paint - much harder to remove, but oh feels so good...
I have also explored inks and dyes. I do work with boots, so have played with leather dye on the skin - that's probably been the longest lasting. When I tye dye, I also like to end up as colored as the clothing for a few days. But read the safety notes and know what you are getting into. Hair dyes can also stain skin for a few days.
And then there starting with ink and using a needle to drive it in there - tattoos! But that's a very different thing.
I love the idea of being sat down, restrained and have my face painted like a clown. All the building anticipation of my coming humiliation as I know I will soon be pelted with pies.
I agree with the above post - I would love to be forced to be a clown with the whole makeup and outfit - and then completely humiliated with pies + other mess
Pie me gently said: I love the idea of being sat down, restrained and have my face painted like a clown. All the building anticipation of my coming humiliation as I know I will soon be pelted with pies.
Nothing better than feeling thick grease being smoothed over face, ears and neck. Then heavy powder to set it and hair turned into a solid blob by coloured spray. Barely need the mess but it's great when it comes. To be covered in makeup like that head to foot is the dream.
