Hi everyone! I'm a long-time UMD reader ... long, long time ... but you don't know me because I don't post. Until now! Hi.
A few months ago I was seriously inspired by the AI threads I saw here--thank you!--and put quite some time into learning how to "do AI". I got bored of the content-filtered offerings like Bing and learned Stable Diffusion: first how to produce good nudes and then how to produce WAM images that look realistic rather than ... I guess a good word is, "dry"? Some of the work posted here is really good, but by default AI WAM tends to look like the mess is made of plastic
I thought about sharing some images in a post here, but the format did not seem right ... I thought, hey, what would really work with AI-generated images is a story+game format. Not quite a slide show--more of an interactive slide show!
So I built it, and here it is, and I'd love to hear what you think please:
With Belle, "It Never Rains But It Pours": the story is that she showed up for the shoot in a raincoat. Belle is sure to get slimed--but it's up to you to strip her of the raincoat (and maybe more), first.
With Chris, "Pink", she stays clean unless you win the game. If you win, there is a choice of two ... endings.
I have a third game largely finished and I'm hoping that making+posting more turns into a regular thing, we'll see
I have an idea for the next one, any chance of a snooty business lady, that gets slimed and stripped.
Slime, Strip, Slime, Strip, etc just for the fun of completely ruining her smart business attire, all the way to her expensive-looking lingerie, all the time she is not allowed to remove her very expensive shoes.
Thanks everyone! Very much appreciated, looks like I have an audience, great
Re: what's coming next, I'm happy to hear suggestions!
Here's what's already planned: the next game will introduce a third new AI player, Dot, then in games after that I want to start reusing players. Part of the fun will be in building up their stories and personalities.
To allow for scenarios this means ... bear with me here ... the players will be roleplaying in some of the games. Actually Dot's game will be an example: Akiko will be roleplaying as a TV show host and Dot as a contestant. (With Andy--that's you--as co-contestant).
An office scenario would certainly be fun--do mention if you have a preference for Belle, Chris or Dot ... alternating strip and slime is going to be a new technical challenge, which is good, I need to figure these things out
See attached for a teaser pic of Dot
One larger design choice I'm pondering right now is whether to add a male AI player to the mix. I think male vs female games could be a lot of fun, it would certainly add some tension! But it's a lot of work to go to when I'm not into male WAM myself ... and neither is Akiko
Just to add my vote of appreciation for your work, I imagine a lot of time was involved.. Interactive stories are always fun, so fascinating to see where someone takes them in conjunction with AI... And cool games too
I hit some bugs in the first game. Spoilers alert. When she asks if we can stop after she takes off her raincoat and if you pick "yes" we can stop then the game freezes. The ending where you take her top off but not her jeans freezes before you get the password.
I've set up a secret gallery with a little bit of extra content for people who report bugs, and sent you the code
Edit: and now I added a script integrity test so this specific type of "game breaking" bug is unlikely to happen again. More likely is layout bugs, typos and story mistakes--please do report these or any other type of issue if you see them
Ooh a bug bounty! Well, I FINALLY got Belle's hood off and wasn't able to progress past the next prompt "There. I guess this is quite a relief for you. Let's keep playing. continue"
Love the look of Belle in the suit and white shirt! Can't wait!
Update: the same thing happened with Pink. Got her sweater off then couldn't continue past this prompt "I hope you're happy! Let's play. continue".
Oh boy, that was a much tougher one! As far as I can see it was that leaving an in-progress game could sometimes cause the next game to fail; and should now be fixed. Please let me know if you see it again. Thanks! (And do check your messages for the bounty...)
