After watching few mesys vids from producers i began thinking what is the average age for models who do mess? Im speaking about sites which use various models. I figure most in mid 20s some being in 30s

Try early 20s... with some in their late 20s... and even fewer 30 or older.

A few sites make an exception (Lenny had a "Mature Models" store for one), but I can tell you confidently that nearly all my best-selling models were under 25 at the time, and none of the models I've shot who were over 30 have sold particularly well.

So which ones were the Bea Arthurs?

I've always thought that modelling broadly equates to a sporting career in terms of the ages at which the models start and then stop. And, when they do stop, we of course use the same word - "retire" - as we do with sports professionals. There'll always be a few exceptions, but I'd imagine the numbers drop quite steeply once the model gets much past 30.

Be interesting to see what reasons producers think are behind this. I can think of two possibilities straight away (although I'm sure there are more):

1. The model, again like a sports pro with all the dedication and training, reaches a point where she's just fed up with the various disciplines necessary to stay in shape all the time;

2. The purchasers of any fetish/sexual material largely want the fantasy of young, slim etc, so the models know they won't get as much work if they don't fit that profile anymore and so stop. In short, it's market-driven, as Rich implied.

To be clear, I don't mean any disrespect to models and do have an age range in my own collection, but I'm just saying that unfortunately the market is almost certainly skewed towards 20-somethings and that's the way it is.

In fact, I don't think the two reasons above actually reflect badly on the models themselves; no, I'm afraid it's the male purchasers of fetish material, and especially with the second reason, that they reflect badly on!

Why, it's almost as if women's SMV (sexual market value) peaks sometime around their mid to early 20s and once they hit 30 it drops drastically, but that can not be the case because there is one particular instance where some random actress continued to be attractive, so therefore it means every single woman in existence also continues to grow in attractiveness as they age.

Also, suggesting women age and get less attractive goes against feminism, so clearly it can not be true.

Frankly, even evaluating a womon, or individual who identities as femayle at the moment of judgement, based on patriarchial standards of beauty is, literally, the height of misogyny and, also literally, the same as the Holocaust.

I've shot with models of all ages from 19 to 50. I find the biggest selling point of any scene is how much the model(s) were enjoying doing it and how much of that comes over on camera. My main criteria for booking a model is how enthusiastic she is about doing scenes - I've been lucky in finding a whole host of women who genuinely enjoy both the idea and the experience of being gunged and/or gunging other people.

When one model specifically asks to do a savoury scene, and you ask another to do the pouring, and tell her "you're going to be pouring raw eggs and baked beans all over her", and she gets that gleam in her eyes of "I'm really going to enjoy doing this to you", and the recipient is saying "bring it on, bean me!", that's the magic moment.

I ve known models that bow out thinking they're too old to continue.. Age is a state of mind. I really think that the knowledge that an older model/ woman/ friend is still excited about getting messy or wet is sometimes more important than the age issue...

I wish I had that same experience! I find that nearly all my models experience "sales burnout" after a period of time... And most of them were still in their early-to-mid 20's when it happened.
But when I find the rare model who keeps selling well over the years, you bet I'm gonna keep using her. That's actually where my over-30's come into play... Pretty sure all of them were in their 20's when they first shot with me initially.

I wish I'd been able to keep shooting with Toshia. She would still be selling now, I suspect... even as she closes in on 30! (She was either 19 or 20 when we shot her first volume!)

Personally, I don't think about actual age as much as apparent age. If a model is like 50 but looks around 24, of course I'll give that shit a watch! Hell, anyone who looks between 18 and 30!

Depends. I like the 20 - 40 ish age range personally, but there are exceptions, as I actually think women seem to remain attractive and WAM able for much longer than they used to. When I was a kid, in the 60s, a woman in her 40s then looked quite old, but now there are lots of women in that age group who look amazing. I would love to pie Liz Hurley and Carol Vorderman, who are both in their 50s!

Speaking of age, this post gets me thinking that age is relative to the viewer; maybe what someone mentioned above is true: That the majority of viewers on this site now are under the age of 30. Though I still feel like a kid, the reality is that I'm pushing 40. At my age, as long as the model is still fit and attractive, age is a moot point IMO. Indeed, some of my favorites are the models that have aged right along with me.

However, as I've aged, I've not forgotten my tastes when I was in my early 20's. I would have considered a 40 year old woman too old to fool around with back then. (Although I did one time make out with a 45 year old when I was around 22.) Hey, maybe I am a progressive after all.

Do most men prefer younger women? Of course they do, GENERALLY. Not always. And some men like women from ages 20 to 50s, it depends on the man and the woman - it's all relative and has much to do with attitude.

Certainly, the age thing IS important for modeling, especially here on the umd, and the United States seems to be more hung up on age than the rest of the world, too. But there are all sorts of modeling gigs out there in the non fetish world, in a variety of niches and ages ranges. Of course many models quit modeling in their 30s but not always for the reasons listed previously, (or perhaps in addition to those reasons). The 30s are your primo career growth and/or family raising years. I was rarely here in my 30s as my energies were focused on my child and my career.

Modeling doesn't pay nearly as well or as consistently as some may believe, unless you're like, on the A-list at Elite or Ford. It pays well hourly, but it's challenging to get solid weeks of consistent bookings. As a model enters her thirties, the work offered starts to dry up. And FWIW, I would bet that a few simply get frustrated dealing with less than professional producers/photographers, too. There's a thought!! It's really annoying to show up for a project, only to discover that you'll be pressured to do something other than what you agreed to, that they want to pay you less than you agreed to, or that they want to delay payment...I'd love to write a separate post some day in defense of models just to illustrate but for now I won't hijack this thread any more than I've already done.

I agree with the person above who mentioned that some older women here feel that they "should" leave the umd because of their age and unfortunately, these types of threads only serve to reinforce that suggestion. There have been several threads over the years along the lines of "how old is too old?". That's unfortunate. Yet, this is something that I myself have struggled with the past few years, as I approach the grand old age of 50 this year. I'm not ashamed of my age, I feel that I truly blossomed both physically and as a person in my 40s. I looked better in my late 30s through mid 40s than I did in my 20s. If you're healthy, happy, feel good about yourself and where you are in your life, it will shine through and that number becomes less meaningful.

Of course, my comments are based on my own personal experiences and I'm not implying that anyone else's experiences or opinions are invalid.

I realize many people come on here to jerk off to pics and leave, but it's still sad to think some of these people have an expiration date on my use in the WAM world. I mean obviously it doesn't matter because I'm going to do what I want for as long as I want, HA, it just seems so gross and shallow that someone could like my stuff now and then have some line on when it's time to move onto someone younger. This reminds me of that "WAM models do not have families" thread. Ugh. When I film I have such fun, and on my kinkier scenes it's like I'm inviting people into my personal bubble and world. I guess that's why reading this kind of stuff makes me feel gross. I kind of wish I could tell the people that don't appreciate my special world to piss off and I'd rather not even have any money from them if I'm some desposible pair of tits. But by all means guys continue on with the feminist bashing... I'm not some hired model on a paid gig. Half the WAM I do is for free. I'm part of this community, as are many other women here, and I expect and deserved to be treated as such. We all deserve that.

Seriously though I'm not finding much difference in 'saleability' depending on the age of my models. I've been heavily experimenting with it the last year or so and the actual content and messy coverage, outfit etc seem to matter more

Other producers that have figures skewed in favour of younger models I think have boxed themselves in to too tight of a niche market so anything outside of that doesn't sell, because the people who DO buy over 30's and over 40's are not looking at your store for that content. They know at your store they are going to feel creepy and old looking at too young women so they avoid it.

And that's fine I spose - we all as producers will tend to shoot what we enjoy personally and stick with our own niches and things but don't then think your data is the be all and end all, because is is skewed my friend. Mightily!

Well, all I know is that for us, age doesn't matter. Some of our best selling videos came from the over 40 models. Mindi Mink is 47 and her Pieagra shoot sold a ton. When Mrs Bee shot for us, all her videos did very well too. I've seen the growth spurt of the likes of Liz, Lane, and yes, even Lexi, who are all now in their early 30s, and are by far sexier now than in their 20s. The same can be said for Ariel, who we have seen mature through the years. And I know for a fact, that 99% of the wam producers would not pass up the chance to shoot with any of those 30 something babes now or when they hit 40.
