Often in 'real life' mistaken for a much younger woman - my wife Dubberdee is actually 48 - which means she could have modelled quite legally in the very first Splosh! magazine.
She was occasionally modelling as Marilyn Monroe and in wedding dresses 20 years ago. Her first messy shoot was with me age 45.
Here she is pictured at 46 and 47 (last November)
She's breathtakingly gorgeous, Trouso - also I thought she was about my age so a good ten/eleven years younger
jfs said: After watching few mesys vids from producers i began thinking what is the average age for models who do mess? Im speaking about sites which use various models. I figure most in mid 20s some being in 30s
I've always thought that modelling broadly equates to a sporting career in terms of the ages at which the models start and then stop. And, when they do stop, we of course use the same word - "retire" - as we do with sports professionals. There'll always be a few exceptions, but I'd imagine the numbers drop quite steeply once the model gets much past 30.
Be interesting to see what reasons producers think are behind this. I can think of two possibilities straight away (although I'm sure there are more):
1. The model, again like a sports pro with all the dedication and training, reaches a point where she's just fed up with the various disciplines necessary to stay in shape all the time;
2. The purchasers of any fetish/sexual material largely want the fantasy of young, slim etc, so the models know they won't get as much work if they don't fit that profile anymore and so stop. In short, it's market-driven, as Rich implied.
To be clear, I don't mean any disrespect to models and do have an age range in my own collection, but I'm just saying that unfortunately the market is almost certainly skewed towards 20-somethings and that's the way it is.
In fact, I don't think the two reasons above actually reflect badly on the models themselves; no, I'm afraid it's the male purchasers of fetish material, and especially with the second reason, that they reflect badly on!
I have to highly disagree with models choosing to retire as they get older, in my experience producers just want to hire younger models because they sell better. There has been a good deal of research showing men are most attracted to women in their early 20's.
A certain model I know who is very popular is much older than she looks because she has gotten a lot of work done. She told me once she lies about her age because she fears she wouldn't get work if people knew her real age despite her youthful appearance. I know successful models who are in their 40's but they look no where near their age. It's pretty common for professional models to start getting cosmetic work before they hit 30 so they can stay competitive.
While the fetish world is a bit different than mainstream modeling overall men are still attracted to younger women with the exception of some guys who are into milf's.

The Daily Mail absolutely hates women no matter what they do and I'm shocked anyone would link to such trash
The study was done by a dating site and is skewed in the way it hasn't offered any degrees of change or comparison
I think some women like your friend are putting the pressure on themselves to do these things - there's plenty of work out there for older women but she herself does not want to classify herself as 'older'
Trying to compete with younger women all the time, comparing yourself to younger women etc rather than embracing and accepting your age seems like a fast track to hating yourself and having even more surgery
Edit to add I know the bias is there with some producers - the aforementioned ones that have boxed themselves in somewhat and it becomes a weird self fulfilling prophecy circle (only using young models, attracting a huge customer base that likes younger models then wondering why the one 40+ model you tried once that time didn't sell) but there are looooads out there who don't limit themselves and have a diverse customer base or a customer base skewed the other way - specifically for older models and tons of work for 30+ 40 + 50+ models
I KNOW most of you ladies are in your late 20's and 30's and i think you are all friggin gorgeous! candy, maria, leila, and let me just say, and yeah shes my best friend but HOLY GOD, i think ARIEL has fucking aged like a rockstar! i think she looks BETTER than she did when she was an itty bitty little youngster! yeah, we have brought in some young girls and have even had ppl ask "are they really in college? what is their real age?" so, it does matter to some people. but lemme tell ya, like piegirlkay, mrs. bee, it seems to me the older ladies on here (myself being 31) we are in our DIRTY 30S and some in our FILTHY FORTIES and even "NIFTY 50S" lol! and all i see, are more enthusiasm getting messy and more love for the wam, honestly. that is just my two cents i will slowly slide back in my wallet....and if i forgot anyone, i am so sorry! i have SO MANY ladies on here who i have watched since i started wamming and have been INSPIRATIONS to the stuff i get messy in! Messy Jessie being the first pic I ever saw of her being COVERED in black treacle and ever since then, i HAD TO HAVE THAT MUCH BLACK TREACLE! i WANTED to be in that mess, i wanted to have the fun she was! i also see ppl like mrs. c and her partner and omg, they just have so much fun! When we have younger girls come in, they come in to make money, they DO have fun...but since i have been here they dont stick around. I guess i was an exception...we have had ONE older person come in once for us and she didn't need the money at all, she just wanted to have the experience and she was A FUCKING BLAST! yeah, i think young girls can have a GREAT TIME too! but, (and yes, i know that my punctuation and all that are ALWAYS messed up on here) i just see some of us that are older (and im talking about some of the women on here that i look up to) really fucking just loving the mess! its freeing, its about freedom and sexuality and being the YOU you are, just slathered in mess. its so taboo but we are doing it and fucking loving it! wam has opened me up sexually in a way i never have been and maybe us older folk *haha* are just appreciating the art of the wam, the RELEASE we get from everyday fucking stress (bc yes, life is hard at times) i dont know what it is but, like MG said, i see liz, lane, all those girls just having the time of their lives! all of you all i mentioned and i am so sorry if i forgot anyone bc even if i dont get to heart all of your stuff or comment on it all the time, I SEE ALL OF YOU AND YOU ARE ALL IDOLS TO ME!! where the fuck would i be today, sexually, as a 31 year old without this place? i dont know? i really dont. so, ROCK ON LADIES all of you have inspired me in many different ways and i particularly enjoy the older ladies *including myself* lol doing this stuff! yall are rocking it. yall all look better than me and im 31!! lol!! anyway, im ranting on and on. but, i wish yall could meet this girl dixie that works with us in person. she is so honest and fun loving and if she dont like the mess, she will straight up tell you. i dig it and she keeps coming back for more. she is an exception to what i have seen as well. she is YOUNG but she has had a life that most of us havent lived until we are 35 years old...maybe even longer. i feel like experience or even stress can lead to more fun wamming...bc to me, its a RELEASE. its MY release. yeah i get paid for it sometimes...and thats bc my ass is on the internet! along with my vagina and tits and stuff. lol XD but, when i get to do all this, even with the hard work we put into setting up and cleaning and all that....once im in there, i get to be a ME that i have to suppress a lot of the time and just be sexual and feisty and fun! but i do think that there are some young girls who really dig it too....i have just PARTICULARLY enjoyed us late 20s-even 50's ppl doing it. it just seems like there is more fun going on. i dont know...do yall feel like this? maybe i am alone in my principles but it just seems that way. im sure younger sells better bc men want something they dont normally have and that is cool! i just like seeing more mature ladies. just seems like they are having more fun. not hating on younger producers bc I love a LOT of their stuff. i do! everything here on the umd is a contribution to a greater good...or to MY greater good. i get inspired everyday.
omg. another jayce novel over and out!! jesus!! morning coffee rants!
Woo boy. SO.... For the record, I wasn't trying to disparage anyone with my initial comments. That's just me not mincing words. Those who've followed me over the years already know that I can be brutally honest about the sales and appeal of certain models. Usually it's just focused on my particular squad, so no one takes offense if I say, "I love shooting Shelly but she doesn't sell." Or, "This is Brin's final volume and I wish she'd sold better." But obviously if I convey my sales numbers regarding older models, folks are gonna read that as a blanket statement about ALL older models. So... My fault there.
Mrs. Bee is a perfect example. She's amassed a great following on here by consistently posting quality work. (Plus she looks about 15 years younger than her birth certificate!) But she also interacts regularly with other UMDers, and that's a big element. I don't think age is any sort of factor with the women who post regularly and publicly on the UMD.... They've developed a deeper and more personal relationship with their fans, and that's awesome.
BUT... In my corner of the world... My models stay far FAR away from the UMD. They use aliases, they don't publicly advertise their work with me, and they would prefer NOT to have contact with my customers. (And when my customers cross that line by personally messaging them or tagging them in social media, the results are... BAD.) So when I get feedback from customers, it tends to have that brutal honesty. I hear it when a model doesn't look as good as her professional pics. (She was 23 BTW.) I hear it when a model got "too skinny." (She was 22!) I hear it when folks are "bored" with one of my favorite models. (Poor Shelly.)
As I mentioned earlier, I would LOVE for my models to have the longevity of Arial, or Liz, or Lisa, or Mrs. Bee. But that rarely happens. Nearly all experience "sales burnout" over the years, and that might be the reason I don't have a stable of over-30 models who've been shooting for 7, 10, or 12 years. The other factor--which Mrs. Bee mentioned, and I back 100%--is that a lot of models "age themselves out." Meaning, they retire to get married, or have kids, or get a "big girl job." (That's a quote from one long-term model of mine, who I can't seem to book anymore due to said job. She just turned 30. I'd love to keep using her. She's making it difficult. Eventually I'm gonna stop trying. That's my situation in a nutshell.)
Last thing before I make more enemies... This thread made me realize an interesting fact: For the last 6 months to a year, there have been THREE over-30 models I've been trying to bring in. We're talking constant back-and-forths with texts, emails, messaging... Etc. (The kind of frustrating work that makes this job a lot less fun.) All of them are absolutely gorgeous. All of them would be AMAZING to shoot. And... All three are probably never gonna happen, and unfortunately it's because their lives are way more complicated than the lives of much younger models.
Model #1 has an 8-year-old kid, so she has to work around her schedule. She has a husband who wants to accompany her, so we have to accommodate his schedule too. And her work keeps making her push dates back again, and again. She says she's eager to shoot. We'll see.
Model #2 is a single mom with 2 kids. All her (gorgeous) shoots happen in her hometown because she doesn't have time to travel even 3 hours away. She has a friend in my town, and she keeps saying she's gonna find time to visit and THEN we can shoot. We'll see. (It's been 2+ years.)
Model #3 is a gorgeous fitness model, about 35. Completely comfortable with skimpy attire and even some nudity. She would've been an amazing find. I sent her all the details, she told me she'd love to work together... Then we spent (no lie) 12 full months going back-and-forth without ever locking down a date. Finally I forced her hand and she admitted she had no desire to get pied in the face. Fair enough... But not sure why she couldn't mention that TWELVE MONTHS AGO. I suspect real-life complications (or her husband) were a factor... I don't know. But honestly, I used to think the advantage of older models was their professionalism as opposed to those "flaky" younger girls. I don't think that anymore....
Side note: In between trying to book Models 1 & 3 (and getting nowhere), I reached out to Vanessa from SS173/174. She's mid-20s. We set up everything in about 3 days, including booking the flight.
I guess that's my (very long-winded) way of saying I would love to work with more older models... and believe me, I'm trying. But my (limited) experience has been that I have to jump through WAY more hoops when it comes to booking them, and at some point it's just easier for me to book the younger girls who seem far more eager to work, and with far less hang-ups and complications.
As always, YMMV. Props to the older women who DO represent on here and keep posting great content (in spite of real-life complications!).
I can't speak for sales because I've never been a producer.
I find older women can be much more sexy than their younger counter-parts. Mainly because of their age, they understand their sexuality and sensuality better than the younger girls, who rely mainly on their physical appearance.
Older women in their 30s and 40s show a maturity in their charms. I don't mean in age, but how they approach life and love. There's experience there in sexuality that is very appealing. They exude a confidence in their sensual beings that is very alluring and the younger girls don't quite get yet, and try to show rather clumsily.
Young girls are great to see get wammed, but to me, seeing the mature woman get wammed is the bigger turn-on.
A models enthusiasm supercedes their age, in my opinion.. Would one discourage one's partner from wamming when suddenly you find yourselves in your 40's or 50's???
Speaking as someone comfortably into my own 5th decade (so these 'mature' women do not seem 'old' to me - but contemporaries), youth is probably the least important characteristic in an attractive woman.
In my experience, (despite every commercial and cultural sign trying to tell us all otherwise) women aged 30-50 are frequently in the prime of life and the most capable of being utterly attractive. Experienced, still deliciously sexy; know their own mind - and far more likely to be adventurous than their younger counterparts.
I do feel sorry for the young guys and the dirty old men

i love your work/play btw, s.s.! yeah i know you have younger models but for me, the way that you keep your own niche, and my god, the messes are so rad! i love your pies! a good pieing is something that makes me wanna buy! and you have had a lot of girls who really look like they are having fun! i would have fun hanging out with some hot dude getting messy too! lol XD so, just for the record, like i said, i have nothing but love for everyone who contributes on the umd bc i find inspiration in so many different things! just particulary a few ppl who happen to be older
Caution said: Models' age plays zero factor in determining if I buy a scene, assuming of course, they are of legal age.
What draws me to a scene more than anything are a few factors: 1. The model knows what they're doing. 2. They enjoy what they're doing. 3. The setup or substances used. 4. Production value is halfway decent or better, lol.
With respect to those conditions, there are a ton of great contributors to this board: Maria, Mrs. Bee, Leila, Ariel & Jayce, Lisa, etc, etc... All of whom are in my age range (34) or above. I would say there's a direct correlation between "experience" and being able to pull off a proper mess.
I find myself less interested in a scene if it's some millenial who has never gotten messy and needs constant direction from off-screen.
p.s. For what it's worth "Sexual Market Value" is a trashy thing to say with regards to women, or anyone for that matter.
IM 31!!! LOL BUT, to be fair, i have aged a lot since i started on here. its a family trait thing. you get older, my face is more defined, thus, making me look older (since i have not really learned the ways of creams and putting on make up correctly. lol XD ) also being a "used to be, never use sunscreen, outdoor loving hippee & lifeguard" that will do it. ...but hey, that group you put me in....you can call me 34 any day of the week! im trying to get my face fuller but unfortunately, skinny runs in the fam. just gotta live with it....no more plastic surgery for me. tits was enough!
MyPieRogative said: But by all means guys continue on with the feminist bashing... I'm not some hired model on a paid gig. Half the WAM I do is for free. I'm part of this community, as are many other women here, and I expect and deserved to be treated as such. We all deserve that.
Just to be clear, I wasn't bashing feminism. Equal rights for all human beings, I say. Enigmahood's comment just sort of resonated with me. The level of political correct-ness that has developed over the last 10 years is kind of exhausting. The arguments I see bandied about by my friends on facebook about ultimately insignificant social issues leaves me numb. You can't have an opinion about any little thing without someone labeling you.
I'm kind of surprised at the turn this thread took. I don't think anyone meant offence. Of course, the written word is easy to misconstrue. Like the guy who took Enigmahood's comment at face value, for instance; he didn't even catch that it was dripping with sarcasm.
For the record, every female wammer that has replied to this thread is a beautiful thing. Keep it up until you die, ladies.
Seriously though, women are already so insecure with themselves because of the current "standard" of beauty. If I could make an accurate metric of just the conversations I've had between 20 somethings and 30/40 somethings that are single, the spike in cynicism increases exponentially. Women are told beauty is everything, and without it, they will never find someone, never get anywhere etc. J, you know how I feel about this kind of stuff based on our conversations. Those that love you will continue to do so, and those that don't (especially based on superficial things) you don't want in your life anyways.
On the flip side, us guys need to take a step back to and see its the same thing with us. We've been drilled with different shit in the same kind of way. Only take certain jobs, never cry, only alphas succeed, nice guys finish last, etc.
I think we all need to step away from society in general and just realize we're on this ball of mud for a blink of an eye. Maybe we should just be ourselves and try and enjoy the time we have. We're all gonna get old one day, unless we kick it before we do.

Haha I'm not upset with anyone, I just feel like us ladies should speak up for ourselves. These types of conversations are awesome! ( oh and Feminism is equal rights for all, as it's been taught to me by mama anyway haha.) You'd be amazed at some of the messages we get. It also gets a bit old being discussed like items for sale. I think that's the reason speaking up is important. Some of those guys that step way over the line may learn something reading this.
Also another factor.... I just ran an experiment on ModelMayhem. I did a search in my city (so the numbers wouldn't be insane) of ONLY models aged 20-29. No other limiting factors but age. Then another with models aged 30 and up.
20-29 = 307 30-up = 134
So there's a much wider pool of younger models, all other things being equal. Add in the fact that many of my younger models come via social media as they don't HAVE profiles on "official" model sites, and those numbers get skewed even more. Another factor for me: A lot of older models tend to be doing more "catalog work" and other upscale stuff, and I've learned through trial-and-error that they usually won't go for messy shoots. (I'm sure there are exceptions, but I've never found one.) The younger models starting out tend to be more willing to do my stuff... especially if they don't have "real jobs" yet.
True story: I lose more models to "real jobs" and pregnancies than anything else. But this being the South, a lot of models have the baby at age 22 and are back to modeling by age 23!! (A little Southern humor for ya there... We do fit the stereotypes sometimes...)

your excuses are just digging you a deeper hole dude, put the shovel down already it's ok seriously
as already established, you use younger models - and your customers very likely come to you now specifically BECAUSE you use younger models and even if you track down a model in her 30's (who can stop being flaky for 5 mins and who doesn't have to bring her husband) (yes that was sarcasm everyone... calm down calm down) she isn't going to sell for you for the above reasons. So you just keep being you and stop over analysing why and... stuff

I realize many people come on here to jerk off to pics and leave, but it's still sad to think some of these people have an expiration date on my use in the WAM world. I mean obviously it doesn't matter because I'm going to do what I want for as long as I want, HA, it just seems so gross and shallow that someone could like my stuff now and then have some line on when it's time to move onto someone younger. I'm already past this imaginary age marker at 34. I can only hope I rock as much as as you do Mrs Bee!
This reminds me of that "WAM models do not have families" thread. Ugh. When I film I have such fun, and on my kinkier scenes it's like I'm inviting people into my personal bubble and world. I guess that's why reading this kind of stuff makes me feel gross. I kind of wish I could tell the people that don't appreciate my special world to piss off and I'd rather not even have any money from them if I'm some desposible pair of tits. I'm part of this community, as are many other women here, and I expect and deserved to be treated as such. We all deserve that.
Well stated, Maria! And I love you right back!!
To clarify, I wasn't upset with anyone specifically. And I don't think the OP had negative intent with his question. But these age threads are tricky...I was also sort of bummed out when I read the first few posts. I just wanted to voice my opinion based on my own experience. Basically, age matters to some more than others, obviously. And women enter and leave modeling for all kinds of reasons. Btw Rich, I love the phrase "big girl job".
Seriously, though? Am I really the oldest active woman on the umd??? Dang.

I would totally still bang you, Mrs. Bee!
Regis, I think that might be the nicest thing you've ever said!!!
I have no age preference for the models I like, but if I did, it would be age 25 and older because I have a few female friends outside the fetish scene who are around my age (BTW, I'll be 36 in August), and very attractive and living in the DC area, attractive women that I see every day come in all shapes and sizes

Seriously? Does anyone care how old you are or if you are or are not the "oldest on UMD"? Who the fuck cares? You are who you are and IMHO, one of the very best people on UMD - not "model", or "woman", or "oldest", or "mature". Just one of the best *people*.
