Good thoughts! As for what to do? Here's all I can say...

Way back before drumpf was elected and for the first year afterwards, we used to go to every protest. I carried a sign that had a "no nazi" symbol on one side and "Trump is a traitor" on the other. I was shunned, laughed at, mocked and put on the fringe, and that was by the Democrats I protested with. The final straw was an open forum with my House Rep, Maxine Waters, a tough as nails Dem known for not taking crap. When I got up to speak, I outlined how we were being taken down the nazi road by his administration and again, I was laughed at, told to sit down, and Rep Waters actually rolled her eyes at me. I never went to another protest.

We spent the next two years looking for a place in the middle of nowhere that can be defended and we moved here three years ago... 40 acres, stocked pond, returned the woods and fields to native, installed concrete in the garage, electrified it, and put in a large generator with three 500 gallon tanks, that kind of thing.

We chose here because we think that all you need to do to destroy any city is turn off the electricity. Yes, we are surrounded by nazi's here, but they won't starve us out. We're going to make them pay for it.

Three years ago I mentioned in a post that I was going to do a wetlook shoot holding an AR. I took so much flack for it (What the FUCK are you doing with an AR???) that I never did it.

We have three of them now, and a dozen handguns, one for each room.

What can you do to fight back? All the money from Oasis Video now goes to The Midwest Access Coalition, a well established group that pays for out of state trips to get abortions. We inform, engage and discuss with anyone who will listen, but when you have only one "news" forum you trust, enlist the help or actual nazi's to violently overthrow the government, and overtake government institutions by any bullshit, autocratic means possible, we just smile and go our separate ways. There's no more dialogue, they want a war.

And for those undecided, just a quick summation of just two of the absolutely fucked up rulings handed down from the stolen, partisan Supreme Court. Abortion... we stopped in the local gas station the other day. Two young black women were behind the counter. Baby asked, "What do you think of the new abortion crackdown?" One finally replied with a disgusted sigh, "It don't effect me." Okay...

But it effects everyone. They struck it down by saying the rule of law and legal precedent no longer matter, that only their interpretation of "tradition" matters. White, xtian, male dominated tradition and looked to the Dark Ages for legal precedent. They said that abortion was not mentioned in the Constitution therefore no one has a right to one. Well, either are machine guns, cars, planes, trains, computers, cell phones and pumpkin pies. Think about it. Roe v Wade is based on the right to privacy and now no one has privacy. That means gay marriage, interracial marriage, and contraception will fall next. They said it is for the states to decide what happens with abortion and only the states can enforce it. That means the state now controls everything you say and do, in the privacy of your own home to what you say and do on your phone, computer and social media. And their own "police" and courts will delve out punishment as they see fit. Democracy is gone. Long live the king.

And the other one of many: In Wisconsin, the Supreme Court kicked back to the state ruling that a government vacancy is not vacant if someone is there. In Wisconsin, the republicans control everything except the Governer's office, and the governor chooses who sits in certain government positions. This ruling now means that if the people in those positions never leave after their terms are up, then the governor cannot replace them. They just stay there. And this is actually what is happening right now... no one is leaving their positions which means the governor is 100% powerless to do his job as outlined in the state constitution! Wisconsin is a swing state and every other red state will follow this trend. They just never vacate their positions, regardless of policy or law, from county tax collector and the house, to the senate and supreme court. There is no more democracy. Just put on the nazi armband and stay.

And a side note on a third ruling... the Supreme Court said that the EPA cannot make laws that effect states because they were not elected officials. That means no government agency has any ability to do anything at all. If you were counting on the Federal government to protect you, that is now a pipe dream.

In my mind, the most damning ruling of all will be handed down in the fall. It will give states the only authority on how federal elections are held, and that means that states will have total control over who votes, where and when. The Democrats will never win another election. Period.

The current Supreme Court was the final stopgap to saving American democracy. They are now controlled by fascists who want an all white, all xtian, all straight nuclear armed ethno state like the nazis' they were installed by and their base. Now... who's going to stop them?

If you are looking to move to Canada, you might want to check out the new law in Quebec. You basically have 6 months to learn French. After the 6 months you are there you can no longer get government services in English. I am not sure why they did this horse shit, but it is what it is.

We have been looking at moving to Canada for years now. When we lived in Michigan three years ago, we went there on a very regular basis. We just love it and really enjoy the people, diversity, acceptance and equality. Walking around there is absolutely enlightening. I have said for many years that Canada is the democracy America should strive to be. We have ultimately decided not to move because we just can't leave our families.
