Here's a heads up that we are working on upgrading our server and other things. So the site will experience some occasional downtime, and ultimately we'll have to take it offline for a day or so. Thanks for your patience, and I'll keep yall posted.
UGH. Data migrations are among my least favorite things EVER. I lament the days of sql dumps and ensuring matching binaries and all of that other good jazz.
Coincidentally, Vidown/TheMothership is in the process of rebuilding dozens of our content servers right now too. If a site you are trying to reach doesn't come up or you get a "We're Moving" or "Account Suspended" message, You just need to flush the old location information from your DNS cache. The easiest way to do that is to just reboot the computer or mobile device.
Ultimately, The UMD and Vidown will both be better faster, and newer under the hood. Have patience. It will be glorious!

I thought Regis was the sacrifice we store owners were going to burn in a wickerman to ensure the success of the data migration? Or was that part of the plan meant to be secret? Oops...
Can you not hang onto it until the last week of the month as that always seems to quietest week for sales as nobody has been paid and money usually tighter that's always the quiet week for downloads

Speak for yourself. Also, in the US, paydays are usually every other week or twice a month, a few days after the first and 15th.
At least I have another store that customers can buy from if this site is down.

This could be an interesting topic in it's own right for anyone selling content - what are the standard paydays (if any) in the major countries that consume WAM material?
UK: Last Friday of the month or last working day of the month. USA: 1st and 15th of the month.

Anyone know any others?
The other common option in the US is every other Friday, which means that the dates within each month can shift a bit and you have two "extra" paychecks at some point within each calendar year. In terms of this discussion that still would standardize as weekend wankin', I guess.
I'm surprised the timing of paychecks is that noticeable to producers -- I thought buying everything on credit and figuring out how to pay for it later was the American way! Regis's hapless creditors will have to dig through my pockets in the coffin if they ever want to collect.
You Brits really only get paid once a month though? Dang.
Sorry about the outage last night and into today. This one wasn't "the move" but was unplanned and necessary. I will let you know in advance when the site has to be down for an extended period. Thanks for your patience everyone.
Seems to me that anybody who criticizes MM, in spite of all the great work he's done for us over the last 20 years, should be tied to a post and tarred and feathered.

I'm quite surprised Saturday is a good for sales...
Just cos UMD is so quiet on the weekends... Not alot of posts, usually 50% more posts during the week from fans and producers. Messaging and inboxing too, pretty quiet on the weekends, busy during the week.
So when i thought for MM doing this, i was hoping for it to be on a saturday as i know i wouldn't miss much... I would love weekends to be busier!
