I'm an extreme novice in the field of AI Image Generators so this is probably a very dumb question.
The only tools I've used so far to create images are Grok and Bing, but I would like to know if there's a good generator out there in which I can plug a photo as a point of reference and have the tool create a image based on it.
Maybe this is something most of them can do. Maybe only 1-2 can do it properly. I have no idea. But people on here seem to use a lot of different sites so I figured it would be a good place to ask.
Yes, there are. I'm guessing what you want to use them for and it's not something I can help you with.
If you want to publish images based on "someone you know" or a celebrity, this is against the terms of service for this site unless you have the subject's consent. Depending on where you live and the images you make, it may also be illegal for you to publish such images anywhere without the subject's consent.

hey, I understand why you would think that, but no. Mainly I want to show photos of certain clothing and either generate photos of it from different angles or swap certain colors.

Not intending to use it for x-rated content.
There are some workflows for Flux and other open tools that allow you to use an image as source and then an LLM will generate a prompt based off this. I've deconstructed this process with Google and ChatGPT and built an image captioner that pretty much does this. I can provide them an image and it will produce a prompt that will very closely generate similar images. It's probably not going to help you directly as it's tailored towards my Flux finetunes and ImageFX but the process works.
Source image produced the following prompt:
"A woman stands confidently, hands on her hips, her body completely coated in thick, glossy chocolate syrup that cascades down her skin in rich, dark streaks. The viscous liquid clings to her long, dark hair, drenching it and creating glistening trails down her face. Her expression carries a mix of amusement and resignation as the syrup slowly drips from her features, covering her torso and pooling around her stomach. Another woman, dressed in a black-and-white striped top, stands beside her, holding a bottle high above the subject's head, pouring another stream of chocolate syrup directly onto her. Her dark hair is pulled back, and she looks focused as she watches the syrup coat the woman's head, merging with the existing mess. The background consists of a white plastic-covered wall, splattered with chocolate stains, emphasizing the chaotic, playful nature of the scene. The lighting reflects off the glossy syrup, enhancing its wet, sticky texture as it continues to flow and spread across the woman's body"
A couple of years ago Stable Diffusion 1.5 could do this -- the generator at https://dezgo.com/image2image has various options to convert one image to another. But I haven't seen it on more recent generators.
(Here's how its "Controlled Text-to-Image" and "Image to image" generators handled the same image with the prompt "She is covered in green slime, nightclub background", for instance. 'Controlled' is the one where she's still wearing the hat afterwards)
[Edit: Looks like the original image->image output didn't pass admin review, so I've tried to replace it with one that has less bare flesh.]
