Apologies, I know this is the most snowflake thing ever. But I think it's worth raising
I don't even have OCD and it still annoys me every time that this is the daily vibe lol, and I've been seeing it for years. OCD is not a quirky personality trait. The D stands for Disorder - it's a serious medical condition that makes a lot of people's lives harder and drives others to suicide.
And like, I know that this would be a pretty harmless joke with any other condition, it's just that I know people with OCD have been the butt of so many unsympathetic jokes and their experiences have been so intensely misrepresented - I'd love if UMD could perhaps not reinforce the perception that people with OCD are just "clean freaks" or "organisation snobs".
Sorry for speaking on behalf of a group I'm not part of but as someone with my own mental health disorders, I can't imagine how frustrating it is to deal with THAT much stigma. I hope a change can be considered.
