hey all. just wanted to post, and i am not trying to get pity....just an fyi because i understand this can be a business.

in the past month, my son has been diagnosed with ausbergers and has two more appointments to clarify this diagnosis,
a good friend of mine, whom i dated, i met here on the umd, his brother passed away a couple of days ago
and yesterday i found out that one of my dearest friends i have had was struck and killed by a train.
along with dude problems, school shit, bills, just fucking LIFE in general....if you are trying to email me and dont get a response for a few days i am just asking to PLEASE give me a few days. i have worked and wammed and done customs throughout the diagnosis of my son, through dialysis, through a lot of stuff.....
right now, I have his funeral to attend on tuesday, i have been talking to his mother and its been extremely hard for this loss....all of this stuff has just added up and please, i am just asking to give me a few days. some people get really upset when i dont message them back, even if they are just asking me questions.
I am just asking to please give me some days to get through this funeral and try to get myself back together. there is only so much a person can take and right now, these are all the things on my mind and i feel like if i put on a smile and act like nothing is wrong i am not being genuine with you and i have always wanted to be extremely genuine with anyone here that i speak to.
so please, just give me a few days to get myself together. i am trying to figure out how to leave a message on my email to people who email me, an automated message....so if anyone knows how to do that on gmail, please let me know.

i appreciate you all and please, i am not asking for pity. i just understand that this is business at times, i really do....i just need to have some time. just some days, please.

I'm shocked to hear this. To have all those blows at once sounds awful, and I really feel for you. Please, take whatever breathing space you need. I hope you figure out a way to fit a summary of this onto an automatic email, which would explain delays to those who might not be aware. The people who care about you on here - and there are plenty of them - will understand if their custom is delayed.

And if people still get funny with you? In that case, get funny with them back. They'd deserve it.

luckily i only have a couple customs and they have been really cool. the rest are people trying to set stuff up and i just dont want you all to think im a total dick....

am, thank you for sharing and i probably will come to you for advice in the coming months. we have a lot more to learn. things we thought were acting out, are so much more than that so, i will, for sure, need advice.

i know you all dont know my friend but if you got any, send some good vibes, prayers, what have you to his family and friends. he left behind 3 children adn was only 35 years old. one of the best people i have known to date.
also send some good vibes to another umd member on here who recently lost his brother. i actually dated this guy and he has spent a huge chunk of his life caring for his brother. the loss was peaceful but it still hurts. he is a great guy and a great member of the community here.

Jayce, my sincere condolences regarding the lives lost too young, to you and their families.

As a father of a little one with special needs (low functioning autism, who we just finally got diagnosed a few months ago) I understand some of the challenges you may be facing, maybe.

For me, finally getting the diagnosis made official was a tremendous relief. Whether the diagnosis was official or not, my daughter has this condition for better or worse. Her mother tried to delay the process for years, thinking our kid would 'snap out of it' or something.

As soon as the report was official, it opened SO many more doors for treatment, and processes for enlisting in those services sped up significantly. (Not fast enough, if you ask me, but I understand how overworked care givers in general are)

So I wish the very best for you and your family. The steps you are taking now will help your son through the rest of his whole life.
