This is the third year they are doing this event. I went to the first one & had a blast. Probs not everyones interest but maybe fir some. I wish I could go again. February 17.

Did anyone go last year?

It looks like a great idea. Shame about the ponchos though which detract from what would otherwise be an extraordinary spectacle (and they're not even protecting them). Either have a full-on pie fight in vintage costume or don't bother at all.

Maybe we should make a UMD road trip... but just 2 week's notice is pretty short.

I've been to both the previous events. The first one was amazing, and is the one all the videos are from. The one last year was pretty disappointing.

The first year, they used these huge pie plates with some kind of thick cream on top that tasted great, didn't dissolve, and didn't even leave the sour smell in your nose for days later. Aside from having basically no cleanup facilities, it was fantastic and will be a lifelong memory for me.

Last year they did it outside in an alley and had a cart with a few dozen little half-sized paper plates with a squirt of Reddi-Wip (already dissolving by the time they came out) on them. I've never found any video or media of the event from last year.

It'd be pretty logistically difficult for me to get out there again this year and I don't know that it'll be worth it. Given last year's event and the fact that they've just now, two weeks in advance, locked down a venue for this year, I'm not optimistic about how much planning they'll be able to put into that part of the event. On the bright side, the venue location seems much better this year - last year the venue itself was great, but it was in the sketchiest possible area of town - all street parking with sketchy people visibly going around looking in the parked cars.

Perhaps we should plan our own version.

Not all wore panchos, even last year. There was even a very cute girl in lingerie getting pied even as weak as they were. The question is why not go to the "cream show" or "chocolate show" just over the border in TJ...that's well worth the money.

What happens at the chocolate show?

Same as the "cream show" to my understanding, it's at the venue next door, never been but on the to-do list with the hubby. Cream show is a ton of fun in itself...

Cream show happens multiple times a night at "HK" in "TJ". Two girls get covered in shaving cream...fully nude...for a 1.00 tip you can touch them anywhere you can think of...a few bucks more get a lap dance..20.00 join them on stage. Let's just say I was up there for 30 minutes with the two girls and had the tie of my life as a female patron!!!

That's seriously cheaper than round here! Even the slummy place down the street is like $30 for a couple minutes.

The profile for RussianBot1 “does not exist,” but if you look at all the posts it’s made over the past 10 days, sure sounds like our man. (You have to search the forums for the name RussianBot1 to find them.)

Within an hour of my last post, RussianBot1’s status has changed to “Totally Not Regis.”

So I guess everything is cleared up. Regis is NOT back on the UMD, there was NO Russian meddling in US elections, and Donald Trump never even met anyone who worked for his campaign team or on his White House staff. Some of them MAY have gotten him coffee once or twice, in between their various contacts with Russia that he knew absolutely nothing about.

So did anyone go? Are there any pictures? Was it any good?
