A deathless classic from the golden era of Jayce and Jilly!

Rev, did you hand-pick your choices from Jayce's catalog during her brief retirement, or did she offer you a predetermined bundle of them? I only ask because it seems like nearly every one you add I bought from the House of Mess store back in the day.

Good Question!

They were almost all hand-picked. I sent an original list of requested scenes ..my personal favourites. I had no idea what would sell or not as I was in my infancy as a producer (and actually I still have no clue what will sell, more's the pity!). I just selected the scenes that I loved..almost entirely the plot based ones, reflecting my personal tastes.

So the original list was my personal faves (including, of course, the custom scene I did with Ariel, Jayce and Jilly). However it turned out that a few of my desired faves were unavailable to buy as Jayce didn't have the rights to them (if Jayce posts here and indicates it's okay to say which etc I will, but I don't want to speak out of turn).

So I went back with a few more that I liked, and we plugged almost all the gaps.

At the last minute there was a hitch with 2 more scenes..so I just said to Jayce, you pick the final two..and she did. Those two sold nicely but they were less in line with my own tastes.

But the others were all my choices, or second choices.

At the time it looked like these would be the only ones 'saved' for the WAM world, as Jayce thought she was leaving UMD for good. So I was gutted I didn't have the budget to acquire more.

I was very relieved when Jayce returned and so many of her scenes returned too.

One postscript. There was one scene that I bought which Jayce really liked, so when she returned she actually bought the rights to it back before I had ever released it. Again, I won't say more unless Jayce is okay with it.

Last thing to say is that throughout the sale, and consistently before and since Jayce has been nothing but kind and supportive and encouraging to me. I have nothing but positive things to say about Jayce.

She really is a class act.

Oh..and as you know I am currently uploading the very final few scenes that I bought from her.

I will feel slightly sad when the very last one is uploaded late next month (or maybe early June) and there are no more for me to look forward to returning to the WAM nation .

i say the same of you....and he did really pick some AMAZING scenes!!! one i bought back? it didnt sell well at all but it was just a sentimental thing....a time when myself, ariel and jilly were working together and it was a hilarious story and plot we got SUCH a kick out of shooting and putting our own "house of mess" spin on it....i had to have it back! he really did choose some amazingly CLASSIC scenes that if you are new here?? you HAVE to pick these up. this was an era of wam being new to me somewhat, i had my real life sister having these crazy fun fights with me and some scenes in teh early era of me and ariel too. I dont think you can ever replicate two real sisters getting the chance to take out sisterly revenge on eachother for borrowing a shirt and never returning it, in such a way.
we got a lot of flack about being real life sisters doing this bc its wam...and people get off to it. Jilly and I had fun. What we did was a good time. What we did on our own? was also a good time but more "our own" good time. it was slapstick and fun and funny and you just cant duplicate or replicate the chemistry between ALL of us real life friends and sisters making messes and acting out stuff and adding our own flair to it. We had a fun time prepping and shooting and being silly before, during and after.
There is no better producer to have this stuff than Rev. He too, is a class act and when i DID get to come back....which I was NOT expecting i remember thinking "damn, he got some GOOD ONES" he did. he really got the creme de la creme of my back catalogue and its stuff that any new comers should check out if you havent already. I can think of no one better to keep this stuff alive and thriving than Rev and Im glad for him to have them. i mean, of course, i wish i could have them back but alas.....it makes me happy to see them live on in his store!!
