I'm new to the world of wetlook, my personal preference having typically fallen on the messy side, however I was wondering what made a good wetlook scene for you?
I was thinking of possibly doing a few as an in-between whilst also filming messy stuffy, but don't really know where to begin?
Well, I'm not much into wetlook, either. I'm more messy or muddy like you. But I would suppose you could just use your bathroom, tub or shower and get wet. Or if you like the slapstick part, put a bucket of water over a door and walk under it, thereby getting doused. I'm sure it's too cold to want to do anything outside, so stay inside and have fun.
WetCouple90 said: For me it's normal everyday clothes. Jeans, shorts, t-shirts, dresses, bra and underwear. I prefer wetlook scenes in pools and beaches and bonus points for public locations like fountains, splash pads, public pools and beaches with other people around. A big turn-off for me is swimsuits. I don't consider it wetlook since it's clothes specifically designed to be wet.
Thanks, that's really interesting to know.
I did notice most of the pictures on the wetlook side are normal clothes and I couldn't work out why, but that makes sense.
I agree, swimsuits aren't wetlook! l tend to enjoy casual wet real life scenarios such as unexpected hose soaking, buckets of water, and pranks on someone or even get even' attacks, not so much made up poses, etc. I love to get wet in my everyday clothes & I love dunk tanks & have been in a LOT of them and I always say, "Anything less than fully dressed is cheating!" Men & women alike...
For me it's when the girl seams to fall in on accident or is pushed or pulled in. I prefer pools indoor or outdoor. As far as clothing for me it has to be a formal dress, prom, club, etc.
This isn't a requirement for wetlook, but I really like it when someone goes all the way under water and comes up with their hair really wet and slicked back.
For me, it's the way wet clothes steal a woman's privacy, the way the water exposes what no one is supposed to see... her real curves, her private parts but just barely, her underthings... like in the pics below.
Another huge part of the fetish for me is the pure decadence of it... clothes that are not supposed to get wet... everything from a white tee shirt to a little black dress.
But by far, it's the power of it. Again, see the pics below
Yeah ... wetlook in normal street clothes is for me the best. Especially a woman with dresses, skirts and slips with lace (or petticoats) ... like MadelineOasis. Please look in my albums and take inspirations for you I have pics from some older websites, from Madeline, from theatre and so on
for me personally its a full dressed in clothes ( of your choice ) and getting wet, in them weather indoors of out, in a bath or shower, its simple you decides what suits you to get wet in , smart or casual dressed up or down one of the easiest forms of having a session, ( no after clean up ) add some oil for shine to
To count as wetlook the participant(s) must be fully clothed, although wearing swimwear in place of underwear, under street clothes, is fine with me - I've always like the idea of people who know they're going to get wet, and are looking forward to it, deliberately wearing "hyrbid" outfits with says jeans and a denim jacket worn over a one-piece swimsuit, as a way of letting others "in the know" be aware of their intentions. You see a woman at the beach in jeans, converse boots, and what looks like a body, and think "she'd look nice getting soaked", then you spot the Slazenger or Speedo logo on the "body" and realise it's actually a swimsuit, and she almost certainly *is* dressed for a wetting.
As to what makes it: It needs to be properly filmed, lit, and posed, so we can actally see what's happening. Unfortunately because wetlook is so theoretically easy to shoot - no clean up, just have a model wade into the water or take a shower or bath with their clothes on - there is an awful lot of abysmally bad wetlook out there, the most common faults being:
1. Light-source behind the model, so all the camera sees is a silhouette. 2. Camera jigging about like a boat in a storm making it impossible to actually enjoy the view. 3. Camera operator obsessed with keeping model's head in shot, meaning they entirely miss the actual money-shots of the models' dry jeans making first contact with the water.
As usualy in WAM everyone has their own take on ideal outfits. Wetlook forums elsewhere tend to have people bemoaning the lack of formal or smart outfits - at least 90% of all produced wetlook seems to feature jeans - but given the big commercial producers do endlessly churn out jeans scenes, presumably these are what sells. Though at the same time, I gather a lot of wetlook producers expect models to wear their own clothes, which might also partly explain the jeans bias, and why there are still some scenes being released with models in the hideous low-rise jeans of the previous decade, because they're wearing old stuff they don't care if gets trashed. We've always provided all our people's outfits, including their wetlook ones, but I gather that's unusual.
Getting wet naked or in just swimwear can still be sexy - two girls in one-piece swimsuits hosing each other down or throwing buckets of water over each other is something I'd watch - but by most definitions, doesn't count as wetlook. UMD is unusual in allowing nude and pure-swimwear scenes in the wetlook forum, other wetlook sites would class those as off-topic.
Final point: Clothing used for wetlook should show that it's wet. Another place jeans score, as they change colour notably between wet and dry. But many other fabrics do too, try and avoid wearing things that looks the same wet as they do dry.

Thanks DM, that's really useful and definitely a good perspective on it. I completely agree about swimsuits, I do love your scenes which feature these underneath clothing.
Definitely also agree on camera, lighting etc... this is something I'm still trying to get used to.
Yes, it must show a change in colour and for a lot of materials this is difficult and even harder to portray on film which doesn't necessarily pick up the subtle nuances of shimmering, wet fabric.
Wetlook is about a model (can be male ir female based on preference) getting wet in clothes. For me the most important part is wet hair and also the additude or situation of the person getting wet.
Personally, I don't have a problem with swimsuit or nudity. My interest first started while watching girls getting wet in the ocean.
When it comes to getting wet in clothes I prefer causal jeans and tees but also like dresses and skirts but I don't obsess over the clothes as much as some others might. For me the most important part is wet hair. I like seeing dry hair getting wet and the girl looks like she enjoys it and looks sexy sticking it back. I could post some examples if it helps.
For good examples of girls that "get it" check out Ariel at waminstyle.com. she is one of my favorites. Also there's a great video of two girls in a bath on Waterworldofficial.com with great close up shots and looks like they are really into it.
For me the best wet look is always when the model (female, crossdresser or trans) is wearing a light weight top and skirt or dress, the sort that clings to their body when it's wet. A level of see through effect when it's soaked also adds to the look, I think the sight of sexy under wear and stockings being semi visible through the clothes is very erotic. Seeing people doing wet look videos in swim wear seems a little pointless, after all they a designed to be wet. A nice dress or skirt and top is not the normal attire for playing in the bath, shower, river, swimming pool or any other way of getting soaked, and amateur self filmed videos are the best because the model wants to do it for their own pleasure as well as knowing the pleasure others get watching it. They make far better videos than the staged, paid model video shoots.
For my i have always been a fan of the shiny shorts, you have done a fair few messy scenes in them before and when you do the hose down at the end, they look great wet, shiny and clingy.
I'm also a fan of rain/waterproof/winter jackets as, like the shorts they for the most part go shiny and all cling so can see all the curves of the body. Shower and/or bath scenes are nice to see, not many around as most wet scenes are don at the beach or in a pool. Difficult to do that in this country as we only get like 2 weeks if we are lucky of warm weather
Agree with Madeline about the pure decadence - and therefore naughtiness - of getting wet in clothes which are definitely not made for it. Therefore, the dressier and more elegant, the better. Again, for the naughtiness factor - they should be willingly and spontaneously getting soaked for the pure fun and erotic factor, without regard for the clothes - or shoes. For us, getting soaked in public with others around without worrying about what anyone else will think is even more of a turn on.
A little late getting to this post. I'm into 50% messy and 50% wet having produced some messy many years ago, so I'll compare and contrast the two, focusing mostly on wetlook since that is your question. While video is my favorite method for messy, photography is my favorite for wetlook, however the one exception is dunk tanks. Like many others, I like everyday clothes, and a little more fancy/elegant for the dunk tank. I like solid colors that really shine when wet, as opposed to patterns (okay for the dunk tank). The darker colors look the best to me, except greys. A perfect scene has one video camera and two still cameras. One of the still cameras is a little off to the side taking all candid/voyeur shots. The other still and the video camera are where the model focuses her attention, alternating between the two, getting plenty of dry shots from all angles including wide/full to closeup. She introduces herself with her name (stage names are okay) and there are very few of them that do that. A little flirty and photogenic works best for me, as opposed to being nonchalant as if nobody else is there ignoring the cameras. They are all solo shots, but when there is two, the two still cameras each focus on one girl. They will pose together and separately both dry and wet, and each of them will alternate focus on one of the still cameras and the one video camera. They all start out completely dry and end up completely wet. A pool or lake scene she goes completely underwater multiple times, including looking into the camera doing at least one time. A shower scene, she literally gets under the water lets it completely cover her. There is one producer I like that does things almost this way, but some of the pairs have them focus on each other, and never look at the cameras, and some don't ever do solo shoots. That particular producer has been active more than 25 years now, but hasn't posted anything on this forum in the past two years and that was only to announce that he was going release all his early videos and some unreleased photo sets dating back to 1997. I was the only person to respond. Up to that point, I shared a few photos from many of my favorites of his models, hoping to bring him some new business. I got permission specifically for one that started it all and he was okay with it, but I stopped since I was getting asked to share whole sets for free, and I may have posted too many freebies. I received no special anything for doing that. My posts are still up and I get the occasional likes on some of the photos. I can share my first post where I explain what I like and don't like or you could go through my profile to see my weekly posts, or I will take a PM and answer specific questions. PS His latest release is a model who has done close to 100 sets solo and with other models.
Favorite womens outfits to see drenched in are tank tops, T shirts oversized or tight with shorts, here' some of what my girl uses and these styles are pretty much our favorites on her.
I think there can be so many preferences within Wetlook that there is no right or wrong answer.
For me the Wetlook and DTB came first and then ventured into the Gunge Scene. I think there are many similarities with the Gunge / Slime to Wetlook. Essentially, the clothes can make it or break it. Something that shows off a girls body with some see-through is good. Dresses or skirts underwater or in the dunk tank floating up again are good and kind show what's underneath.
Another big thing is the candid, kinda getting wet when not expecting to in normal everyday clothes. Particularly with the dunk tank where somebody is not expecting to go on it but does end up going on it. Playing in a river or sea in clothes as well but with all of this, I think its about the girls having fun and enjoying what they are doing and also the slapstick side of things.
Im probably going to duplecate some of whats been said. I don't consider wet in swimsuits wetlook but I do find them sexy sometimes. My preference is for clothing that was sexy when dry. I prefer dresses to pants of any sorts. I go wild for soaking wet formal dresses with long gloves. Cleavage and nipples are good, but not required, but the dress should be thin enough that it sticks to the woman's skin.
Added points if the woman is having fun and-or knows she is turning the viewer (me) on. I don't like it if she is unhappy at getting wet - in real life, not play-acting.
Minus points for extansive tattoos; piercings; girl/girl and even a guy in the picture - the fantasy is she is going to get it on with ME not some male model.
Underwater does nothing for me.
I like Wetlooker's work and buy alot of it, but I wish the girls wearing party dresses were wearing heels and not sneakers. Kinda breaks the fantasy.
Finaly, this may be unusual but I prefer photos to videos. The quality is usualy better and I can stop and look at what I like. I often make stills of the videos I buy.
As you might guess by my username, #1 is wet hair. The moment it gets wet is key. I really like showers for this reason. Just after coming up from underwater in the pool is great for hair (and thin shirts!). #2 is see-thru. The sexiest sets show what's underneath... nipples, belly button, backside, and a little camel toe is super hot. Tight leggings can be great for that!
Dislikes: Jeans, winter coats, heavy formalwear, etc. Give me tight, clingy, see thru, and feel free to take it off once it's nice and wet.
A few favorites from wetlooker.com (obviously, Katya is one of my favorites... she really gets it right for me, and that dress on Angelina in the second to last pic is just perfect):
