I feel totally out of the loop since I don't know what this is but apparently have 2 videos nominated. Thanks but I'm confused on how videos were chosen for this considering one of mine is an older one that is no longer publicly available. I'm guessing people won't be voting for a video they don't know about...wondering is this means I should repost it? (Or maybe I should implement the Irish honour system and let people view it but only if they do so strictly to decided if they want to vote for it or not, lol)

More than 300,000 profile views almost 500 friends and 1000s of my videos downloaded and all I'm seeing is the same names in each category !!!!

They decided to not limit submissions to a recent time line to me more inclusive to everyone that is a part of the community. I think that if you want, you should re post it. The fact that you were nominated means you definitely have fans, and they know your work, and will support you!

Ms. Penny, thank you for what you and your crew are doing. This is shaping up to be an incredible event. I can't even imagine how much you all have been busting your asses to make it work.

@ Leila - for film nominations we accepted anything released in 2018/2019 for a wider scope - even if it's now been taken down it was clearly loved enough for people to remember it fondly!


I'm sorry you're disappointed at not being nominated, unfortunately with a limited number of entrants available in each category we would never be able to run something like this without having to let some people down! If we could reward every single person that makes this community such a wonderful place we would have had to make an event lasting a good three days
I believe we have 70ish individual studios/producers/performers represented, probably more if you include all the group videos, but thanks for your feedback regarding "seeing all the same names" - with some studios being enormous and running several sites it does make sense that you would see a few people who are incredibly popular represented in more than one category.

We didn't take into account sales or friends on social media, we asked the community to nominate their favourite people. Nominations were opened at the start of the month for a full week; the event itself was announced 4 months ago and the thread has been posted in regularly since then, so I feel quite confident that I've done all I can to get the word out and give everyone a chance to let us know who their Messtival stars are - unfortunately I did just check and can't see any nominations for you, maybe they didn't hit submit on the form?
Next year ask your friends, colleagues, fans and customers to nominate you or you can also just nominate yourself!

Wow, we got nominated twice! Massive thanks to whoever did that - TBH we weren't expecting to be anything other than attendees, so even if we don't win anything just to be nominated is amazing.
