We are meeting up to chat and have fun, build up a community and get input from everybody to organise a messy event within the midlands - got an idea? Come share it!
When:- Saturday, June 01, 2019 1:00 PM 6:00 PM
Where:- Walsall - Bar 10 The venue is a relatively quiet pub in central Walsall, 5 mins from the train st, 5 mins from the bus station, just across the road from a retail park with significant parking. It is also next door to a premier inn (Waterfront, Wolverhampton Street, Walsall WS2 8LR) if anyone wishes to stop over (room prices from £46 at the time of checking).
Also if anyone wishes to join us for food after, there are plenty of local restaurants within a 5 minutes walk we could choose from on the day.
Oh nice - we might be able to pop along. Got a mad month of filming ahead so will see if I'm still alive
for anyone wondering, I'm not doing the usual pink punters/Mk June meet for my birthday this year due to aforementioned mad filming schedule but it might make a return next year. So if anyone was hanging on to see if that's happening, go to this meet instead
Great job organising this Nasty, I'm sorry that I can't be there as I'll be in Frankfurt. Have a wonderful time and I hope that there are many more in the future.
@Noodle Thanks for the support and it'll be good to see you again .
It's looking like a nice group between here, fetlife and various messages I've got. Should be a good day. I'll probably try and compile a list and post it over the weekend so everyone can see who else is interested.
So looks like this really should be a good day. Really looking forward to catching up with some old friends and looking forward to meeting some new people, enjoying some food, drink and good conversation.
Hopefully this can help us get the event off the ground...
If anyone else feels like coming, it'd be great to see you come along too.
I'm very sorry...I had really hoped I might be able to attend this but circumstances mean I can't, I am afraid, as I'll be spending the weekend with family.
I hope it goes fantastically well for you and all who attend. I will be thinking of you all. Have a lovely time.
Also, if you haven't been to a Splunch before, I heartily recommend it. In my experience they are very relaxed and everyone is warm and welcoming.
I've got for sale a 1980 Tiswas Custard Pie ceramic Money Box for £25. It's showing it's age and is missing it's stopper. If anyone would like to buy it, drop me a message and I can bring it with me on Saturday.
If you are not there on Saturday, I can post and it will be plus the postage costs.
@RevSlymsford Sorry to hear that you can't make it. Have a great time with your family. Hopefully we'll see you if we ever do another one.
@HenryWilcox Cheers for the best wishes, I hope you and Candy have a good weekend.
@Whitestar Looking forward to catching up with you on sat, looks like it really is going to be a good day.
Looks like we should have a dozen and a half or so of us. Some well known personalities in sploshing, some who have never tried it but are interested and others everywhere in-between. We really should have some interesting conversations and hopefully lead to some great ideas to put on a messy games party soon.
If anyone else wants to come along and meet people, please do, still time for more to come join in the fun.
Sorry everyone but I'm still recovering from a mad but good bank holiday weekend of shooting and sorting out the content we shot. Have a good one guys.
Good to see a good turnout today, people i knew, people that knew me and many that i'd never met before. Hopefully something can be sorted out on the event side although it really relies on numbers attending to split the costs - boring stuff I know but that's what these things come down to. A few of us had a quick brainstorm on national potential venues for sploshing meets and couldn't come up with many. Thanks to Nastygunge for organising, possibly the easiest splunch to get to from the station for me, a nice bar too and good for the splunch. If you've never been to one of the meets, do come along, i know i'm not the chattiest person, but ask me stuff and you'll get answers (& usually not "i can't say") - the networking potential is huge, projects, even sites have come off the back of a splunch chat!
Nastygunge many thanks for organising this, it was good to meet old and new faces and I hope we can get some events sorted for the future, enjoyed the meal after managed to make it home before the curry took affect, sorry I had to get back but I did manage to see most of the british soap awards LOL
