Many thanks to Mike for a brilliant splunch, lovely to see everyone and meet a few new people - my sincere apologies if I didn't get to say hello, it was a really busy one with a lot of splunchers
The shoot back ours was absolutely insane with things getting very wild. Somehow we managed to leave the room looking normal when we checked out
I'd say I'm off to sleep for a week but I've got three huge sessions this week and then messymayhem over at the weekend so the insanity just goes on and on... brilliant though
Ive got to correspond a visit and a Splunch one day... ... Maria, perhaps, could lay the groundwork on this side of the pond for one in the future? Experience is a good asset.
I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to the meet, the diehards, the occasional visitors, and the 9 Bristol newbies alike, for making it the meet that it was. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves; I think I got to chat to everyone, some only briefly, others for longer, on a wide range of subjects including boots (thanks Debra). I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible, especially returning newbies, at future Bristol and other meets.
Those who made it were: -
Aufpet Candy Custard Crusenforagunging and Debra Daydreamer + 1 Don 88 DungeonMasterOne and Honeysuckle Falkor and Custard Henry Wilcox Jelly'n'Custard and J'n'C Studios Jojo and Godfarter Messy Laura and Mordicus MyPieRogative Mud-ndp Nastygunge Piemaster WAM262 + 1 Wamadeus ... and me, Mike Nomic.
The card is below; unfortunately there seemed to be so much chat going on, that despite having checked that cameras were available, we forgot to take a group photo. There was no mud shoot on Sunday, as location-scouting had revealed that the enormous amount of rain in June/July meant that all the sites were STILL under a foot of water. However, we found a couple of new spots that will be worth monitoring for the future. Next year's Bristol dates are 20th May and 19th August, and prayers for good weather will be gratefully received.
It certainly was a great day! It was fab to meet lots of new people, as well as catching up with some familiar ones. I attempted to leave three times but the pouring rain sent me straight back in (yes, I didn't want to get wet But I did have a shoot to look good for, thanks to Candy!). Thank goodness I didn't leave earlier or I would have missed the surpies!! You can't take Maria anywhere..!
Apologies to all those I didn't get to chat to. There must have been twice as many attendees as last year. I was sending friendly vibes to those who looked too deep in conversation to interrupt
