Actually, I'd probably just get a 5 minute custom with 2-3 sweet substances and a sports bra+boyshorts. My tastes are specific, but pretty straight-forward. Hell, I'd probably even avoid having dialogue. I'm also perfectly fine with compromising some of the likes and dislikes. The difficult thing would be to find the right producer and the right models.
I thought @ABGamma's post was pretty reasonable - I suspect we all have that kind of detailed idea of what we like / don't like, and what is and isn't a showstopper, and use them when we shop for content. I know when I see a scene that looks potentially interesting in thumbnails, I start checking the enlarged images for the items on my checklists.

Also, GuyHuman, while calling out specific producers is completely idiotic and non-productive, specifying what you like and dislike in producer scenes could result in a useful discussion. You may buy from producers, but not like some of the things they routinely do in their work. There's nothing wrong with discussing those things in a constructive manner.
I like a lot of the things in ABGAmma's list. There is one thing for me that trumps everything. If there is formal clothing or a miniskirt, I will get the video that has a lot of nude if it has those two things. I do prefer more coverage though. A couple of pies and then stripping and then mostly gunge and completely covered over and over again while nude is a little too much nudity for me. I don't mind like 3 minutes of nudity in a 10 minute movie is not too much. I do like some clean up too. I LOVE some of the sets proper messy does. Because they do complete coverage and the clean up after word. Also, I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THAT SONG IS AT THE END!!!!!! Here we go again, here we go again.
Fneu, if you spent 3 grand on a custom or were charged 3 grand for a custom, I am sure that the producer is out of business. Unless I am mistaken I am pretty sure most of the community does not have more money than they know what to do with. I could go to a lot of great stores and get a variety of awesome videos for 3 grand. Completely not worth it to me. But hey, if you want to spend 3 grand on a video, more power to you.
Equally non-offensive question: "Are there any wam customers that you producers will never sell anything to you?"
No producer will sell anything to me because all my credit cards are just stolen hotel room cards with random 16-digit numbers written on them in crayon. Funny how wam producers never suspect a thing.

We all have preferences for what we'd like a scene to focus on. For example anyone with a foot fetish, camera angles that show the models' entire body but cut off at the ankles don't have as much appeal (it's surprisingly common). That being said, this does seem like a rather silly topic. I think we can safely assume that not everyone on here is into the same thing, we all have preferences. Calling out those you would never buy from is just a bunch of useless negativity. Why shit on what you hate when you can celebrate what you love. So maybe I'll take this opportunity to thank some of my favourites who pan the camera to the floor from time to time: Jayce & Ariel Slapstick Stuff Leila Hazlett Messygirl Messyhot DIDVP Messie Jessie (There's more but I have to go shovel). Peace, fellow wammers
i got one i am shooting soon, mr. human i know who you are.....that you are gonna love ill let you know when i release it stay warm!

I'll tell you the main reason I cut off at the ankles: The dimensions of the room where I shoot! I literally have the wide angle camera in the corner, against the wall... But if a model's tall I'm still gonna cut off her feet. (Or her head. I always go with feet.)
That was the one advantage of shooting outside. I could always pull back far enough to get her footwear in the shot. Back then we had a lot more heels going on.
I still try to get the feet if the model's like, wiggling her toes in the glop or something. Or the "new" thing where the model lies on her stomach and goes face down into a cake.... I get them to lift their feet up so you get some nice "soles" shots.
Silliest, most unnecessary (original) post ever. Consumers won't buy a product that does not appeal to them or suit their wants/needs.
That aside, I have rarely if ever bought a video, even from producers I like (exceptions being WammaLamma Pie, back in 2000, I think, and a few of Hurley's clip tapes -- before Youtube killed the clip tape market)...I have a few others (from some well-known producers) but these were acquired through trades.
Mostly this is because I like my stuff best
But my main criteria for "wanting" (not necessarily buying) a wam video are:
Very PRETTY (female).model(s)
Great quality messy props AND hits (or gungings); good coverage, but with variety
Pretty/sexy wardrobe (obviously a subjective aspect)
and (technical):
Good quality lighting, production and editing.
More than one scene (model starts off clean at least twice)
There are a couple I won't buy from because of how they treated models, or how rudely they reacted when I asked if they ever worked with any plus-sized models.

There are a few producers I wouldn't buy from because of how they treated customers (if, that is, they were still around to buy from):
Here are some of the crappy things some producers have done to their customers:
1. Taking money for customs that were never delivered (or refunded)
2. Taking money for physical media videos that were never delivered (or refunded)
and worst of all:
3. Scaring a former customer into silence on the UMD forum by threatening to publish his personal info on the forums for all to see.
Lots of producers have done either (1) or (2) or some combination of these two. But there's only ONE producer who's done number (3), at least insofar as I've heard tell, and he also happens to be guilty of (1) and (2) as well. So let's hear it for a one-time WAM pioneer who ended his time here by turning into a true scumbag -- Neil Edwards.
