also....do you have regrets? Things you wish you had done differently? How long do you think you will continue to produce? Do you have any plans for the future that everyone would like to hear about? Also? Talk about anything else you think is worth mentioning about your journey from wammer to producer...or? like me? producer to wammer! I wanna hear it all!
I know I have a zillion answers to these questions but? im not gonna until someone asks because I am asking you all! Be real! The real deal story.

I had someone the other day, a customer of mine and also a friend-who said to me "you are a producer for a long time-I thought you made millions!" I literally, no joke, belly laughed so hard my neighbors were staring at me funny, as I was on the front porch texting. It made me wonder---does everyone think this about us producers? That when we ask for funds we are greedy fucks bc we are "millionaires"? If so, lemme explain, I cant speak for some of the big wigs around here....well, they have told me they make a lot more money than I do! but? For everyone else? I cant speak for them. I do know that the last 2-3 years have been the least amount of customs I have ever done. This year being the absolute least....and dear god. I cant do it! I have to start taking them again! So? I dont know how you producers that make your own content all the time do it....but KUDOS! I have loved having freedom in my productions but? I have to create a balance....bc? Good god. ...my models make more than me! lol! but, i love them and will always be good to them.

anyhooo....I said I wouldnt talk about myself. I do that a lot....in trying to let people know that I am one of them, that I understand? I end up sounding like an asshole who only wants to talk about herself.

So! Lets hear it! I am super interested as I have not heard a lot of peoples stories and woudl love to hear about what you would change, if you could turn back time...and why...things that you wish you didnt have to deal with as a producer and things you love to do! And everything in between.

Hey thanks for posting this. This is something that I feel doesn't get touched on very often, so I'm interested in sharing and hearing other perspectives.

I've always been really in touch with my WAM kink, enjoying it on my own and with partners. At some point I started recording my sessions for my own enjoyment, and it wasn't a huge leap to realize that i could make videos to sell and have it as a little side hustle. I was really struggling with bills at the time because my normie job was just not paying enough. Selling videos didn't put me in a higher tax bracket or anything, but it definitely gave me financial stability.

So yes, money was the key motivator initially. But there are two other benefits that came with it:
1. WAM is an expensive kink to enjoy. It's not cheap to buy several dozen pounds of peanut butter in which to engulf your entire body, and facing the cost when it's all over in an hour or two is never fun. It's easier to justify dropping $100 or more on supplies for a single session if you know that it's essentially just production cost, that you're going to be making that money back in sales, and that you're going to get a video out of it to enjoy as well.
2. I'm an exhibitionist and making porn is fun and cool. It's that simple. Making WAM videos is exciting, thrilling, and I've met a bunch of awesome people. I think, for me, it would have been regretful to not have gone down this avenue. At heart, I'm a hedonist and life is a cosmic joke so why not get weird with it?

Now, there's also an understanding that once you put yourself on the internet doing kinky things, you can't really undo that. This has never been a problem for me. I know plenty of people in my real life who have come across my videos, but the reality is that most people do not give a fuck. More than anything, people are fascinated when they find out I have this alter ego and they're curious to learn more about the kink. If anyone is going to think I'm weird for it, I'm happy to be weird for doing something that I enjoy that harms absolutely nobody.

The actual downside of it and the reason it's been years since I've released any videos: burnout. I started operating at a pace that I couldn't keep up with, and I started losing touch with my WAM kink being an essential part of my sexuality, not just something I do in front of a camera. It's important for me to say though, there is absolutely nothing wrong if it is just something someone does in front of a camera. For me, however, it is so much more than that, and I think I was starting to lose sense of that.

So looking ahead, yes I will at some point start making videos again. I have a pretty clear understanding of how I got burned out last time, and I know what I need to do to avoid it in the future. Right now, my partner and I are working on some home renovations that will result in me having a production space. It's a project that we have been slowly working on at our own pace, but when that's finished, that's when you'll see me making videos again. There are a lot of ideas I want to see come to life. As much as there is a financial incentive and a thrill associated with making fetish porn, I also have an artistic muscle that I don't think I've really gotten to flex yet in my WAM videos. So there's a lot that I'm excited to pursue.

I wanted to shoot my own scenes long before I knew there was any kind of market or that anyone else would want to see them. Like most of us who grew up in the pre-Internet age, I'd always thought I was alone in having this kink, and made do with mainstream stuff taped off the TV, but always knew I could do way better, if only I had the money and resources.

Once I was of age I looked at porn, but both nudity and watching actual sex are huge turn offs for me, and of course porn is built around naked people and sex, so that went no-where.

Basically I ended up becoming a producer because no-one else out there was shooting anything close to what I wanted to see, so I made my own to be able to see what I really wanted to watch:

Fully clothed with no nudity.
Filmed so we can see the models' legs and lower halves get messy.
The kind of outfits I find sexy, which are rather different to what the mainstream thinks is sexy.
The scenarios and ways of getting messy that I like to watch.

As it happens it turns out there are other people who share my tastes, enough that I can actually break even doing this - but it definitely is just breaking even. In a good month we'll take a thousand pounds - but easily then spend all of that on model fees and substances, some months we've spent double what we've taken.

The thing that really has made it worth while is the friendships and community. I've met and shot with some truly amazing models, colaborated on incredible scenes with wonderful people, met the love of my life, travelled all the way to Las Vegas and hung out with some of the real movers and shakers, and somewhat widened the range of both what I like and what I can shoot - while I may never be into XXX porn, it turns out I can do a damn good job of shooting it when models ask me to.

But in short - I became a producer because no-one was shooting scenes of girls in overalls and wellies getting totally, joyously messy, fully clothed.

I've been a lifelong WAM fetishist. I had a previous account that was before Holland was ever created when I found this site about 20 years ago.

When I first started out on the pro side back in 2007, I did a few sploshing sessions in person and 2 customs but took a break from it as a Pro Fetishist.

Once I started fetish and clips again full time 4 years ago, I decided that I wanted to indulge in a kink that I truly LOVE on a personal level that was neglected.

For the last 2 years, I've had the chance to attend the 25th anniversary to mingle and shoot some content and mostly solo WAM. I don't make much from it. It's not about that. I'm happy to recuperate some of the costs and make a tiny profit but other kinks, fetishes, and mediums (like phone sex and camming) are what allow me to do this type of work full time.

As far as what I'd do differently, I'd have secured the wig on my head for the first custom that I ever shot because too many pies to the mug and head by my co-star sent my wig falling to the floor and it RUINED the scene for the producer who had a lot of experience himself. So it goes LOL.

There's still a handful of producers that I'd love to shoot with. Ultimately, I'll produce WAM content until I don't feel like it anymore but will always be a fetishist.

Yeah, thanks for starting this thread! I have given thought to making a few more pay-your-price vids, not to get rich or quit my day job but just to alleviate some of the outlay on my partner Berry G's end for supplies and maybe to give the fans the epic messes they might want to see. I can't offer customs anytime soon but we've gotten some great suggestions that could be done with some kickback.

If I could do anything differently, I'd have gotten into this scene back when I first found it online when I was 18! Not saying the Nineties purity culture did me entirely dirty, far from it and it served someone with my personality reasonably well, but I spent a long time being a wallflower and I missed out on so much of the local filmmaking scene in general. I'm now making up for lost time in every sense of the word, and that doesn't even need to involve compromising what I'm comfortable with. My store mostly exists due to a markedly underserved corner of the wam world which is villainess messy comuppance. Always my favorite flavor of WAM and one that back in 2014 was (and kinda still is) rare to find.

The desire for more than a single line of buildup and a bit of comic flair inspired Wamerica and I'm happy to report that in some small degree, help generate some new interest and at least one or two others with the same proclivity to try their hand at production.

Loved alot about production, but it's a young man's (or woman's) game, and I'm happy to let the next generation take the reigns.

It is certainly not a money-making fetish - this I will say. I will also say, Kate and I both agree we should have started producing a long time ago - before we had kids. But back to the original question - Why did we start? Answer: pandemic. Kate was out of work and just needed something outside of being a homeschool mom. I was working from home at the time so it just clicked. After a few years, I can say it still doesn't turn a profit. It is a fun an enjoyable fetish that we loved long before we started actually producing anything (mostly was me getting messy). But we wanted to share our enjoyment and we always thought as long as we break even, we are fine. And the train keeps rolling.

I started making mud videos simply because there were no mud videos other than movie clips at the time, and that was a long, long time ago. Making them cost a lot of video cameras due to the heat and dust effects on the old VHS, 8mm, and Hi8 cameras so I decided to start distributing my videos to help defray some of the cost. I ultimately became too successful and had to discontinue distribution due to the risk involved should my employer become aware of my mud fetish activities, something that was certain to happen eventually.

In 2019, the idea of producing videos came from a hubris that I had as a trash photographer in Berlin. It was just a spontaneous idea with a 120 camera. A few videos were created during this time, many of which cannot/may/should not be published (anymore). In 2022 I started again, wasn't happy with the results, bought a new camera, set up my "studio"...but feedback and some unnecessary comments made me decide to put the whole thing on hold again for the time being. We'll see what happens next. In fact, technically I'm still one of two WAM producers in Berlin, which is quite sobering...

I have yet to produce content to sell, but I'm intrigued by the prospect. I'm a photographer as a side-hustle who fell into portrait and boudoir stuff around 2018, and at the request of friends and clients, I started shooting OF content at the start of the Plague. That's roundabout when I found this site as well, after one such lovely woman came by asking if I'd shoot a messy shoot for her as a fan request. I'm demisexual and have never really had a personal interest in porn or trying to get laid or whatnot, but the shoot we shot really stuck with me (no pun intended), and the photos, while fun and silly, were actually kinda striking.

My city has a fairly small if nearly nonexistent fetish community, especially where some of the less common or niche kinks are concerned, and its "modeling" circles are full of people who have very strict boundaries and very high prices, so hiring in local talent isn't really it for me. I hear, all the time, "I don't know how, but you made that kinda hot," in regards to something messy, but when I suggest that as a shoot for the person who says that, they always decline. With how fragile reputations can be, I decided it's best not to push and to just keep on doing what either makes money, or what builds good friendships. And when the time comes that someone asks me to shoot something messy, I'll chuck a fast thumbs up their way.

I was the one that introduced Ms Messy M&M into the wet and messy fetish
It all started when we first started dating, she was showing me her instagram page and a couple of her art pieces stood out to me.
For one of her pieces she covered various body parts, like her arms legs and butt, in white paint and used them to paint a large mural with. In another photo she covered her body in a clear wrap and used her body as a canvas.

We haven't been active recently, because of lot has been going on staring work and school for both us
And we recently found out our friend was diagnosed with brain cancer

I think there are basically three fits - 1) skin tight, 2) fitted but loose, and then 3) actually baggy. For a long time I didn't like skinny/skin tiight because they always seemed to go with low-rise, and as I may have mentioned before, low rise clothes are an abomination before the gods that should be erased from the histories of fashion forever! Burn it, kill it, kill it with fire!!! Ahem. I may have opinions on this.

But I've always loved "practical" looks. Women in military combat gear - think Sarah Connor from Terminator 2 (see last attached pic), very high waist combat trousers that fit but aren't too tight - so she can move and fight in them. 3rd pic below is our Wendy in a similar outfit. Or classic western jeans, when the women basically wore guys jeans in small sizes with a belt to pull the waist in - what's now called the "mom" look. Where I do like tight fits is in exercise gear, yoga pants, running leggings, sports unitards, and the skin tight zip-front spandex full body surfing swimsuits you can now get - to me that's a way sexier look than revealing stuff like skimpy bikinis.

This is actually reminding me I probably need to do more scenes with the girls in combat trousers and polo shirts. The high front of the trousers just begs to have something very messy sprayed on or mashed in.

Though thinking of baggy, I remember one of the very first times I got delibaretly wet outdoors, as a late teenager. I was exploring under a pier, and wearing normal guy jeans, black I think, and converse with no socks. Wading into the water, I coule feel the waves pulling at the jeans, back and forth as they lapped in and out. That was a pleasant feeling, and something you'd only get with baggier outfits - these days I imagine wearing loose-fit joggers into the sea would probably feel similar with the water pulling the fabric around your legs. So can totally understand the appeal of getting messy in baggier outfits. I have some of your older scenes in denim dungarees, where you can see how the mud or molasses (different scenes) tugs at the material as you get messy.

Been meaning to get around to this one for a few days but got busy. I've been a fan of WAM for longer back than I even knew there was a word for it and I spent years on UMD mostly doing nothing but observing content, forums, etc. Jayce, you were among the first producers I found upon my arrival and have continued to (in my opinion) be an excellent force in this community! You've made a post or two about mental health at the perfect times that made me feel I wasn't as isolated as I felt. Over time, as I got more comfortable I began to comment when other users would ask for suggestions or ideas. One night, my loving wife Jane asked what I was typing with such focus and I showed her. She suggested that I put my ideas to use in our own store. So in a way the idea of money was a small motivator in some way too. The thought had never really occurred much before then as I was incredibly anxious about putting myself out there publicly, but having my wife verbalize it that way made something in my brain click and ask just *why* I wasn't trying to make more of my love for WAM and from there, a little over a year ago the Messploits of J & Jane was born. I went back and forth on putting my full face on camera getting messy because I had forward facing jobs and such but earlier this year things in life got super hectic and the job I was concerned about was taken out of the equation so I decided the time had come to join in the fun properly! I have loved the response and it has been incredibly beneficial to my self-esteem at times. I love that the community extends so far beyond just UMD now and you can tell how much love and support exists in the WAM community. So that's our story . Also in a roundabout way, since you made the post Jayce, thank you for being so awesomely and uniquely yourself because when I first came to UMD seeing your work helped lay the groundwork for what became Messploits.

As for the future, we love what we do so ideally we hope to be doing it in some form (and hopefully continuing to grow it) for years to come We've gone from shooting in a bathroom to a spare bedroom to our temp space to whatever comes next. I am so proud of the past year and hope everyone sticks around to see what comes next

Hey Jayce, good idea for a topic! I guess I thought I could do better than all of the other WAM producers out there

I think for many producers their answer will be along the lines of "nobody was making *exactly* what I wanted", and I guess that's kinda true for me? I think for me it was a combination of realising that models would be willing to entertain the prospect of shooting with someone smalltime, rather than a big production company, already having a half-decent camera to hand, and getting really frustrated with the crappy compressed video that most sites at the time were offering. I did some sums and guessed that I might be able to break even, and decided to give it a go!

I was in business when I started, and still am today (hotwamhd is just an occasional hobby) so I tracked costs, sales etc pretty closely from the beginning. I decided I was only going to do this if it paid for itself as I have lots of other hobbies that consume cash!! Over the past 15 years or so, I've had a couple of flops, a few smash hits, and overall I reckon I could pay for a pretty nice deckchair to put on Phil's yacht

I never expected to get laid doing it, and guess what? I was dead right I'm lucky in other ways though; my gf is totally chill with me doing gunge shoots with naked models, probably because she is hotter than any of them

TL;DR: I knew I wouldn't get rich (I didn't). I guessed I wouldn't get any action (I didn't). I hoped it would be good fun (it was and still is!).

Which is, hands down, why I own more of your work than any other producers.

I've gotten into producing as a means to creatively blend my artistic / creative expressions with together while being kinky. Quite tired of the same punk and comedy stuff over the years, and I've always wanted to model and do this.

Still learning a lot and swimming in about 6 shoots worth of paperwork and editing atm, but it's been a lot of fun, and a cool new way to express myself.

Oooh lots of reasons!

1) I wanted to produce since forever but I just couldn't grasp video editing. Thankfully I slowly managed to pick it up and have improved to an intermediate standard now, and I love learning more now I get it. Still a ton to learn too, I love it.

2) I would always have visions in my head like some kind of wam synesthesia of what I wanted to see and the strong urge to make it come to life, and it's just so amazing to be able to do that.

3) I loved being the model in videos but I found all the shower, clean up, set up next scene, get make up and hair and dressed again, film again just really difficult. When I first hired a model and all I had to do was set the scene, film, clean up, set next scene, film, clean up, etc that was still exhausting BUT cutting out all the showering and re-doing make up it was a huge revelation and a breath of fresh air and made regularly posting videos possible, whereas it would be short bursts here and there when it was only me trying to film and do everything myself.

4) As a short legged, long torso giant boobed bbw there are certain outfits I (personally) find too unflattering on me or that just don't work or the sizing doesn't include me or maybe even just out of stock in my size that I would avoid or couldn't source, but I can hire a model who I feel would look amazing in that item, like some things suit a very petite and smaller chested model, some things suit a tall and curvy model, some things even suit a certain scene planned or even a personality of model. Anyway that way I still get to enjoy the fashion and aesthetic side of it vicariously too and if I spot and amazing dress only available in size extra small, I can still get it and see in it wam action on the right model for it.

5) After so many years doing private sessions 2 to 4 times a week (sometimes more!) and appearing on camera, I started to get traction alopecia from heavy substances pulling my hair out, so by hiring a variety of models I could avoid any further strain on my own scalp and with more control over the substances I can make sure it doesn't strain a models hair or scalp too much too.

6) I had already made the leap into being self employed so producing was a nice and natural extension of that

7) I just fucking love all of it lol


Things I wish I didn't have to deal with? :

1) The limitations of my own body, mental health, budget and hours in a day

2) People who are envious of this job who just don't understand the work involved and the delicate balance needed when you 'monetise' a hobby or fetish or interest, in an effort to try and make sure you don't start resenting it or finding it all a chore.

I can see how it would appear like the grass is greener and compared to my old corporate job, sure yep it is BUT it is not a magic, effortless solution... it is hard work and demanding on every aspect of your existence. For me, the good things about it make it worth it but oof, it can be a doozy.

3) People who think anyone paid to wam are being fake/not enjoying it/only doing it for money - like... several things can be true at once you know. When I was modelling for other producers I was in heaven with all the wam and loved the reassuring aspect of being able to actually pay the bills that month, in fact that very probably enhanced the experience even more lol

What I meant by asking that was that you always hear on this forum how people are so terrified to tell their significant other, new girlfriend, or someone they are hooking up with about their fetishes...so? I was wondering if it was the models? Or people you told that you were making mud porn?
For me? I just dont have the time to date-and dating today? Is very strange and not my cup of tea. In the mess? Im a freak nasty hoe. lol. when im not? Sorry to hear that, jealousy is an evil thing, and has never really made sense to me. I've got quite a few polyamarous friends, some with quite complex polycules - multiple partners of various genders, some but not all of whom are also in relationships with each other. Quite late to this thread.

The first videos I made weren't with the intent to produce and sell, but mostly to document and share my journey exploring my fetish.

But mostly, I wanted to fund my play (anyone who gets messy understands the time and material cost commitment) and some toys to begin with, but then after a year or so, I started to see this could be a fun part-time job. I won't lie, the money is very motivating to push me to set-up and then clean-up - if only it were possible to only need to do the middle and most fun part of playing in the mess!

At a certain point, I got a lot more committed to producing. I looked more into color grading and some basic video editing which is a skill I wouldn't have took the time to learn if it weren't for this. But I'm a one-person show for the most part, so my output is rather limited. I currently do not have the desire to expand into a business. I still want to keep a very authentic part of myself in my work, and also avoid burn-out and keep things fun!

I've loved slapstick comedy since I was a kid.

As I grew older, I developed appreciation for more theatrical and 'burlesque' style performance and wardrobe. Years later still (early Internet), I discovered MF adverts and thought "Ok, there's a niche for messy stuff, exclusively..." (not just as a scene in a longer film), and then "I can do that" (focusing on slapstick only) and then quite naturally I started to produce and present stuff that reflected my own slapstick tastes and aesthetic (sometimes JUST as comedy, sometimes intentionally 'sexy' or erotic, but with female performers only)...So, I had found some 'drive' (compulsion?) to make my own slapstick videos.

It was not my initial intent to make money, but was delighted to discover that others liked my stuff enough to part with their hard-earned cash to acquire it. That was a bonus by-product of my efforts...and it only slightly influenced the subsequent videos that I made.

All my videos have made money (some a LOT more than others; meaning my production costs were recouped and then some free-and-clear profit)...but I attribute that only partly to my work, partly of course to my fans (much thanks!), and, the the rest (plenty of credit) to SOUNDGUY who was starting up a merchant wam shop (dvds via postal mail) store, then, a full web/download business (starting back in 2003 or so) and contacted me (I think he contacted me first)...He also helped me with the editing...and the rest was was history. Honestly, he made the post-production end of things (which is half the job) work so smoothly that I kind of took it for granted. Could not have done it without him.

I stopped producing because of many reasons but boredom (and competing interests) was the main reason...not wanting to constantly re-invent the wheel, or, repeat myself, just because it made money the last time (I have a novelty-seeking brain, which quite often can be in conflict with turning any fun/fantasy into a 'business').

Ultimately, I had other goals (in terms of video art/short film-making; erotic or straight) that I wanted to explore. I'm very happy so many others here began their own productions...that makes me feel less compelled to produce (though I sometimes will throw in a slapstick sight gag in a model shoot, as you may know.)
