I was a big fan and collected pretty much all the original JP series.
My tastes are pretty broad when it comes to pies (apart from shaving cream!). I know many people grumbled about the 'cake like' texture of the old ones (which I presumed were partly created from Angel Delight) but I loved them as they made a colourful, multi textured mess that you managed to deploy in an increasingly inventive manner.
The new cream looks fabulous. Anyone who has done a model shoot with pies or flans in the UK will appreciate the challenges - i.e. nothing is available off the shelf, ready made. I think I know what you're using because I've discovered it myself - and if I'm right, only one supermarket sells it as far as I know...
Tilly, I'll bet Lisa or Leon could supply you with a job application!
I'd love to see you sitting in that chair! :lovestruck:

I'm revising my opinion... all of Lisa and Leon's shoots look awesome! I've just seen their gunge bath post... but I don't think I'd make a very good model.

Judging by your profile images, you'd make quite a good model.
I agree! :lovestruck:
Tilly, I think you're just being humble and maybe a little shy! If you'd like to try it, go for it!
Late to the show here, but this makes me even more excited about the upcoming Just Pied videos than I already was. Flantastic new pie recipe and Lisa is as gorgeous and gracious in receiving them as ever. I will echo the sentiments of several others who think you should add some other colors and substances under this creamy stuff, but it looks very promising. I'd also love to sometimes see skits used as lead up to the pies instead of always the game format, which I think you mentioned as a possibility in a previous thread. Whatever the case, very much looking forward to whatever you come up with. With these new pies and your gorgeous, classy array of targets, we really can't lose!
Overall, Lisa, I would consider these 'decent' pies (by UK standards) and very good to excellent, if we go back a decade or more (to view/compare content here in the states or UK)...the cream consistency is excellent, there's just not enough for the 'push pie' effect to get the coverage one expets from a pushed pie....but the thrown pie effect is, again, decent (yes, less force in the throw might help a bit)...what would make the thrown effect better is to add a layer of pudding beneath the cream...this not only adds some color to the mess, but it splats out well in thrown hits and, combined with the cream, produces a REALLY messy impact/effect and better overall coverage.
As far as I can tell, neither Lisa nor Leon posted anything on this forum (or even the wetlook forum) about the follow-up clip to the test pieings that Lisa took last week. In this second clip, Lisa gets hosed off post-pie. Although this might well be more properly be considered a wetlook clip than a messy one, it does begin with Lisa deliciously covered in the Moomin's new cream pie recipe.
Thanks for that, I couldn't really figure out where to post it, the wets won't like it because it's messy, the messies won't like because it's wet, so I decided to just put it on YouTube, thinking, "well someone will like it". Haha
I may be in a minority on this thread, but i like that last clip just as much as the pies! Smoothed back wet hair still does it for me just a little bit more, however good the pies are! :footinmouth:
