I've become rather fond of using spaghetti hoops recently, nicely textured like using beans, but "squdgier". I guess it's neither savoury nor sweet, but yep, there is something utterly delicious about dressing up just to quite deliberately get into the mud. Needs transport and planning, and lavish cleanup, but wow, there's nothing else quite like it.

Savoury would probably be black paint thickened with cake mix.
