"What Do You Think About Plus-Sized Models?"
The person enjoying themselves is more important than their size but to echo previous posters, there's a difference between morbidly obese and a few extra curves.
Each to their own etc etc etc but above a certain size I'd expect there to be less potential customers. Who knows how the dynamics of such things work, when in the month a video gets released could be a more significant factor than the size of the model! Then there's the question of how many clothes they're wearing lol.

But a diagnosis doesn't come from what other people see. You don't know their medical history, genetics, etc. Anyone can tell that you are doing it to yourself with the choice to smoke. But you don't understand by looking what glands, genetics, etc are affecting the way someone looks. Temporary? Not temporary? You don't know. Inherited? You also don't know, and it's none of your business to judge. This kind of judgment should be condemned to the same pile of unacceptable BS as racism and homophobia.
Sure, everyone ahs a type, but that doesn't mean saying degrading things and making uninformed medical judgments about people who don't fit your type is OK.
You know what? I'll use this example since she already spoke up on the thread. In fact, she called out just this sort of thing, then did it in a general sense back to the girls not like her in that same message. (It's fine to have a preference--but look at the emphatic capitalization, word choices, and the playing medical doctor--the message got unfriendly fast.) Jayce isn't my type at all. But I don't feel the need to let her know that every time she posts pics. She doesn't need to be my type. I don't need to find her attractive. It benefits no one to have that discussion (except to point out to the people who are generally using this thread for that how stupid it would be and that I don't do that--well, with this single exception). Those pics aren't for me, so I move on, silently. But then, I have to deal with all the BS in this where people are saying negative things discouraging the very models I (and many others, judging by this poll) like to see. Somehow, they act like that's acceptable. In a thread like this, just vote, and move on. I only felt like I needed to say something after reading all the ignorant crap I saw on page 1. As you said, there are people interested in all types. But some of us are polite enough not to actively discourage the types that they aren't actively into. Others, not so much.

I agree 100%. For me, the example of that skinny model is Jessica from GooeyGirls UK. I hope they don't mind me reposting a single pic here. She's the one in the middle. Total stunner.
See? We had a lovely exchange. We didn't call anyone OBESE or ANOREXIC. We didn't decide who's healthy without a medical license, or talk about who "doesn't care about themselves" or "needs to eat more."

One last point. It isn't only the plus-sized models that I want to see that the community chases away with the behavior I called out above. It wasn't even penalizing. I was willing to go to a lot of work to put these things on a DVD then transfer them to my computer when I first looked into it. When it was stuff I enjoyed and wanted to share, no one was interested. In fact, the language people used when WAM on the show was talked about made me pretty angry. It wasn't worth the labor to transfer the stuff when I had to deal with some of the same folks actively trying to shut down the sharing of what I wanted to see.
It isn't hostile not to go out of your way putting up stuff that doesn't appeal to you, when the stuff you like keeps getting insulted and shot down.

My original comment wasn't even about you at first, you just wanted to defend the position that you should comment on who is healthy and who is not. Jumping on that was your own choice. I had no problem that anyone answered the poll; I actually think it can be valuable. My problem was how many had to weigh in with their own specific judgements, not always politely worded, about what is acceptable, and what is "unhealthy" or gross, as if they knew what they were talking about medically. That's not helpful to the WAM community in general.
It's part of a bigger cultural conversation about judgment. And yes. I do want to compare it to racism, because sometimes it overlaps--and can have the same root--being judged for your genetics. People from certain Pacific Islands, for example, have genetic dispositions to store weight. That's a fact. They also might not be unhealthy. Skinny people and medium people are also capable of being very unhealthy, so judging a book by its cover under the guise of pretending you have medical knowledge and are concerned for the person's health is just another form of ignorant discrimination pretending to be benign. Those familiar with the justifications offered by those engaged in segregation will recognize the tactic.

Also, as was pointed by this poll, your idea of what "looks" healthy is not shared by all. It's like if someone only liked blondes and was like, "eeeew, gross, redheads." It would be fine to say, "Nah, I don't like redheads personally." What you're saying I'm doing is EXACTLY what I haven't been. Is aid polls like this can be useful. I have a preference. I weighed in. But I didn't pretend there was something wrong with those who didn't fit my preference. No one should be shamed for a preference, only for being too militant in how they state it. Models are judged on their appearance, and people are allowed to have preferences.
Darn right! So do the courtesy of treating the models I like as fully functional humans, and I'll do the same for the models that you like, and we'll have more models, not less, and everyone will be happy.

You were right to, but things went downhill as you seemed to want to capitalize OBESE again and again and make health claims that aren't medically backed up.
Very skinny people might well have an eating disorder, but you didn't see people is this thread go, "Well, there's OK skinny, then there's gross, unhealthy skinny!" I'm not saying some people aren't thinking it, but they don't have the same societal permission to express that view. i certainly dont want to argue and i commend you for standing up for what you feel is right! i do! and i appreciate your honesty, wholeheartedly! i love women of all sizes wamming, i do. i just dont like women who clearly have trouble getting around....that are clearly very much obese. is this a double standard? fuck yes it is. i am guilty of it bc i have been obese and my health went to shit, i have been skinny and my health has been shit. i would blame society but i am in control of my own thoughts. (i should be anyway) but it is easier to call someone who is very very large, unhealthy than someone who is skinnier. this is very true. For me, there are a number of variables that come into play, regardless of body type - outfits, substances used, hair, skin tone, facial features and scenario all play a big role in whether or not I'll buy a scene. What you're calling "plus-sized" also varies quite a bit. I like skinny girls. I like what I call "Hollywood plus-sized" girls who are curvier than the skinny ones. I like some girls that carry a bit of fat. I'm not into the whole "BBW" thing particularly though.
I get being concerned about whether or not your product is going to sell but ultimately, I'd say just make and sell what you want. Even if a certain model doesn't sell to some of your regulars, you can pick up new fans. Or, you could use the sales data to decide the kinds of people you shoot with in future. I appreciate OP putting the question to the masses. It is 100% a matter of personal preference (aka, It depends), so I think it would all depend on the model for me. Like many have posted or are definitely thinking, I think London Andrews is absolutely gorgeous. Most other models of a similar size don't really do it for me. That's just me, though. It shouldn't affect anyone else, other than the fact that I likely won't be spending my money on scenes with plus-sized models. I certainly wouldn't want to discourage anyone else from buying or producing scenes with models of all shapes, sizes, and appearances.
That said, I really like the material that Pie Zone produces, so if a bigger girl was super charismatic and seemed to have a lot of fun in the scene, I'm in!
