Not sure if either of these have been posted before but I just discovered that the UK's "Metro" newspaper did a complete A to Z of fetishes, and under W they included WAM, and if you click on the highlighted "Wet and Messy" link in the paragraph, you get a brilliant and detailed article featuring the one and only Candy Custard!

Candy's article has some cool photos including a brilliant one of Maria Mypierogative. It's well written and sympathetic and covers both clothed and nude WAM. Well done to all concerned!

Violet is a real life friend of mine and while I dislike media attention I let her write about me now and then. My only objection in one of her articles (not sure if that one) was her statement that 'it's always women' as she was hinting that it's always women being objectified. I messaged her and told her I'd happily gunge her (now adult) son because I (and many others) gunge men too. We'll do a feature on that hopefully at some point

It's a great article and Candy, I apologise for the one time I brought honey to a shoot (as a customer had requested it for his custom). It's golden syrup all the way for me now.

There is a poll at the end of Candys interview and 88% of people who voted would love to get messy, a lot of closet sploshers out there me thinks

It's just because on a larger scale, honey is taken from the bees and replaced with glucose or corn syrup, and it's just not good enough for them, it's damaging to the bee population and those lil guys have a hard enough time as it is with pesticides etc... and they are so important. And it's an insult to their hard work when we just pour it over our heads and they have shitty glucose to eat instead which doesn't contain their natural immune protectors and micronutrients. I think I linked a proper article about it on my website.

Leaving honey out of wam will barely make any difference I know but I have banned it from my sessions and filming. Golden syrup is just fine for a honey effect.

Felicity persuaded us to cease using honey in our scenes a few years ago for the same reasons, prior to that we had used it sometimes, but I think the last of those scenes have now been released and we'll not be shooting any more of them. Good point re banning it from sessions and customs too, we will do the same. As you and the Rev say, golden syrup creates exactly the same look, and is entirely plant based.


Isn't it just! Good to see positive coverage in the media that isn't an attack or "look at the freaks". Well done Metro for doing it.


I imagine the people who clicked through to the article in the first place are probably quite a self-selecting sample, still good to know though! TBH I suspect lots of people would probably quite enjoy at least some aspects of sploshing given half a chance, what will put most off is the mechanics of preparation and cleanup afterwards. It's always going to be a bit more complicated than most other fetish activities.
