I haven't posted any videos for about 6 weeks because I've been working on this latest offering. This collection of 8 clips of 8 seconds features well-to-do female couples dancing together in the flooded grounds of the mansions (castle courtyard for the Mediaeval era) where they live during torrential rainstorms. Across the centuries, ladies of the manor have always been eager to enjoy soaking their fine clothes when the opportunity arises!
The clips feature no dialogue and no music, just ambient natural sounds and a bit of laughter in a couple of cases. Each clip is set in a different era ordered from oldest to most recent as follows:
Mediaeval (13th Century) Georgian Regency Steampunk (Victorian) Edwardian 1950s 1970s Modern Day
All of the clips have been upscaled in Flow to 1080p. If you would like any of the clips to be provided as the original 720p, please let me know and I'll upload it. Similarly, the start images below for the videos are all 2k (except for the Steampunk image for reasons I won't bore you with), so please let me know if you'd like any of the standard 1k originals.
It doesn't seem like that much in the final analysis given all the time, effort and money in video credits that's gone into it - 39 multi-hour sessions with Gemini for one thing. No doubt some people will think that's obsessive and that is indeed correct, but once you get so far along the road on a journey you have to continue to the end rather than turn back. Anyway here it is - I hope some of you enjoy it!
There were several issues in particular that hounded my progress throughout this which I worked increasingly desperately with Gemini to overcome, largely unsuccessfully! It more or less came down to video generation repetition and hoping for the best in the end. The main issues were:
1) Music and/or singing in the audio of videos when the prompt was stating that there shouldn't be any. I didn't want music because it would seem a bit weird across 8 clips and, of course, the women wouldn't dance in time to it. Veo was very stubbornly persistent at adding music.
2) The women's dresses and heads swapping as they rotated past each other also happened all to frequently and, despite Gemini's best efforts, it seemed like nothing could be done to be sure of preventing it other than either just hoping for the best or trying to make sure the women didn't rotate past each other, which made for minimal dancing!
3) The women closing their eyes abnormally while they were dancing. Although it seems like it should be obvious and simple to be able to sort this out, but it wasn't.
In the 8 clips, only 3) above is present but not massively so. Moral of the tale: think twice before attempting to have people dancing in videos! If anyone has experienced similar issues and found a sure-fire way of preventing any of them, please do met me know how you did it.
