As requested by many of you... Here it is! The greatest amateur pie movie of the 1980s shot entirely in a college dorm! With the blessing of the original producer, who would go on to even greater amateur pie heights later. (Hint: Paul's House Of Pies.... still available at SlapstickStuff.vidown.com ....)
The video quality is.... very VHS. The editing is.... very VHS. But there's still some epic stuff here. Who knows what these guys could've done with camera phones?!?
It's as if Tommy Wiseau grabbed a time machine and an even WORSE camera and a whole lot of pies, travelled back to the 1980s, and shot a mess-terpiece!
It's so weird to see things like oversized hi-tops with the tongues popped out, aviators worn inside, and tank tops tucked into stone-washed jeans (on a guy with zero muscle tone) worn without a hint of irony. Great find Rich, thanks for posting.

The Room: Prequel: Rise of the Pies

Counting the days until I get a request for a girl with Jersey mall hair to get pied wearing a Spuds McKenzie T-shirt.
Ah....An infamous college (UNH?) wam video....yet also kinda "innocent" in that it was clearly done as a fetish video (by at least one of the two main guys -- based on the raging boner plainly evident in the first sitting gal's pie hit) produced as harmless college "comedy" without the girls' knowledge (of the sexual turn-on) but with their consent...those were the days...the niche (wam) fetish was not even on the cultural radar (it was the Stone Age, technologically speaking)...I'm not sure how I feel about this video (and it seems to be made by contemporaries of mine; it seems our generation [tail end of the Boomers who entered college in the early-mid 1980's] were fully into the new technology [VHS video] and used it to explore/exploit a fetishistic niche, like all good college students with some a/v know-how)....but, the '80's big hair styles are certainly nostalgic (if not also hilarious).
Hey all! I'm in contact with one of the original guys, who's staying away from the comments. (He appreciates the kind words, maybe the comparisons to "The Room" a little less...??)
BUT I can certainly ask him about the pie recipe if you want. If he remembers. I agree, it looks like something stickier than just whipped cream and definitely produces some great hits with most of the girls. (I was always bummed the girl in the shower didn't get solid pies, since she was basically up for everything else.)
Also, from a technical aspect, low resolution video tends to blur the distinctions between various types of pies, and sometimes it actually improves the look. (Like, for instance, SC pies definitely look "fake" in HD but they can easily pass for the real thing in low-resolution SD. Not saying they used any SC in this one of course...)

That would be awesome Rich, thank you!
And forgive my lack of manners, thank you for posting this, and thank you to the producer for allowing Rich to post this!
"Of course I remember the pie recipe. Those pies were made by a local bakery for 2 dollars each. They are just pie tins filled with uncooked meringue. Very sticky and gooey...worked GREAT, except for the last batch on the final girl. That was a technical error on our part. We had left them in the NH cold so they wouldn't melt. We shot that scene at about 10 o'clock at night, but we forgot to bring the pies in early enough to thaw out well enough. Kinda ruined the scene for me, but what were we going to do? It was t like we could re-shoot it...it was a one-time opportunity.
Anyway...no big secret on the pie recipe. Just egg whites, sugar and some form of stabilizer like Cream of Tartar, I'm sure. I hope that satisfies those who want to know."
