Hello all, I'm gonna write a long overdue post because it's about time we talk about this. Every month or so a new "girl" pops up and makes the same type of posts about sensual wam stories, the want to "try it more", and a handful of non-wam photos that look like they've been screenshots from a social media account.

I've been on and off UMD for about 7 years and I've definitely seen fake female profiles tons of times. I'm here to lay out the following red-flags for a possible fake profile, what to look for, and how to stay safe. Because the thing is, if you trust one fake profile, it just muddies the water for bad actors. I get reports of this suspicious accounts quite frequently. While the accounts themselves may not be doing anything "wrong" on UMD, you may trust this person and take the conversation off site and into a more dangerous territory.

As a woman myself who is online, I know how women generally act and of course, why we barely ever see women in kink spaces. It's not only social reasons, biological reasons as well lead women to pursue different types of pleasure. Additionally, women are much more acutely aware of sexual violence and stalking; this is why if you see a brand new account posting full face photos of the supposed user, especially if they're non-wam, that's a massive red flag.

Without further ado, here is my list of red-flags that lead to the possibility you're not talking to who you think you are.

1) Full face photos that are non-wam related. Generally you'll see them post a few when the account is new. This acts as a honeypot to get a lot of attention and thus gives them the ability to reel in people.

2) Discussing how they are "new to wam" or "recently introduced to wam". A lot of these profiles like to play a character of a person who isn't familiar with wam. That's how they can justify how the account is new. Being "new to wam" also can help avoid any inconsistencies in story telling.

3) Use of a government name. This is pretty self explanatory, it's terribly unsafe to use your name and post photos online, if you wouldn't do it, most likely she wouldn't either.

4) Empty promises. They'll say, "I'm gonna get messy, how should I do it? I'll post pics." Then they never will. These accounts exist because someone is role playing a character for attention. The more they say they'll post the coveted content, the more engagement they'll get.

5) Strange stories. A lot of times you'll hear interesting stories from these fake profiles. Like how they got introduced to wam by a guy they went on one date with, etc. Keep an eye open for stories that just don't seem realistic. Think, would you ask your date to do wam play on a first or second date?

That's my list of the most obvious red flags to look out for. Of course THESE SIGNS DON'T GUARANTEE THE ACCOUNT IS FAKE, however if these are one or multiple of these red flags, be cautious.

Why do these accounts exist? It's an easy honeypot to get attention. The people behind these accounts want people to message them and talk about wam, and it's easier to get that attention while pretending to be a woman.

Tips to be safe:

1) Use a reverse image search. The girl is too good to be true? She probably is. THIS IS NOT A 100% GUARANTEED WAY TO DETECT A FAKE PROFILE! Reverse image search engines DO NOT scan social media accounts. If these photos don't show up on the search, but the pics seem very Instagramy, etc. be aware they're probably from someone's personal social media.

2) Don't disclose personal details to new accounts you interact with. Doesn't matter the account age, but especially the newer accounts, you need to be extremely cautious with interactions.

3) Report suspicious accounts. I get a lot of reports on suspicious accounts and I search into them and monitor them. Anything that seems off is a good reason to report. Refer to the list of red flags, and even one is good enough to let me or another team member know to watch the account.

We don't want another Kelsey Roses situation so be aware of these fake profiles. Report them, and most importantly don't interact with them. I know most of them are people just looking for attention and to roleplay, but a few bad apples spoil the bunch. You never know who's on the other side of the screen, and if all they post is photos that are more welcome on instagram, then you can be confident in knowing they aren't who they seem.

This is helpful advice! I would like to add to the Tips to be safe:

4) Use AI Image detectors. Similar to doing a reverse image search, you now need to check if photos are real or synthetic.

Edit: Having AI photos might not be a red flag, but claiming that the photos are real is a red flag.

In the fetish community I run, this is becoming a bigger and bigger issue. It's always a big red flag when some new girl from IG, Twitter, etc...is "into" the fetish (hint, very very few girls are into fetishes like WAM, etc..) but they hook a lot of guys; "omfg, look at this young cute girl who's really into my fetish." Sometimes it's just a guy trolling to see how many people he can fool, but increasing it's about ripping guys off by offer customs, sessions, etc...

My biggest clue will always be any new "girl" that pops up on this forum and loves pies/mud/slime. I'm like "yeah...ok dude."

I saw a post the other day which absolutely made me think of everything in this thread - well done for calling it.

This should be part of a standard "Intro to the scene" type resource. Easy for us old-timers[1] to spot, harder for exited younger folk who may have only recently embraced their fetish and really hope to find a willing female play partner.

Indeed. I don't wish to add to any drama, as I gather there must've been some, but it's not hard to work out which currrent thread you're referring to! I clicked on it last night, and thought that yes, of course it would be great if that user does turn out to be real, but I'll reserve judgement until she actually posts some messy pics.

But there's a wider point here, which Slapstick Stuff's Rich has repeatedly made. Chaps, we need to stop thinking with our groins. Please. I noted that this particular user had about 100 friends on her profile last night (although only 4 now? There must've been drama!), even though she's only been here a few days and hasn't done anything yet. This all awkwardly suggests that some users automatically give the benefit of the doubt to every pretty face who turns up claiming to be "new to WAM".

A bit of self-protective scepticism wouldn't go amiss. Yes, scammers are bad. Of course they are. But some on here aren't exactly helping themselves, either.

Current yes, but it happens all the time. I've been here for a long time, deleting whole threads is common when it gets away from them. And not just scammers but folks making a point that turns out to be not popular. It's a shame as all discourse is useful.

I remain ever hopeful, but until I meet someone in person, they are 3 racoons in a trench coat to me.

There have been quite a few fake male accounts too, right? I remember some fake accounts earlier this year using photos of men from Instagram.

Seeing these accounts do not bother me much because I do not interact with them. The main thing that bothers me is when they use other people's photos from social media. They do not care that they can harm someone's reputation and well being.

I just posted this on the main forum, but no one's under any obligation to verify who they are when they join a forum. If they sign up and say they're female, well that's up to you on whether or not to follow or engage with them. Certainly there are a small percentage of girls in any given fetish community. With that said, the flares should go off if it turns financial and for any reason, and they want a payment.

Thank you for starting this thread! There are bad actors all over out there. Let's not forget the mod that was posing as a woman. It was years before it was found out what was going on. While there may be a real person behind the screen, never assume that the person you are chatting with is who they claim to be. This is the internet and there is something fake about everyone on the forums. Thankfully there aren't any A.I. accounts to provide fake interactions to keep people coming to the site. Before entering into any kind of relationship online be it friends or more, do your due diligence. Do the same amount of research as you should be doing before ordering a custom and take precautions. Even then, a big producer can take your money and run.

Also that MG for countless years tried to pass himself off as a girl, not an old dude, and when caught tried to play it off as oh "messy girl" is simply my username and never meant to confuse anyone. Yeah.

This is a great post and sums up a ton of fakes over the years. Use your head people. It may have been brought up but by entertaining fake profiles and accounts, it takes away from actually women or men who are into WAM. That's just my two cents Thank you for making this post!

Can I add, if you do call someone out, screenshot the evidence before they delete it, and don't engage with their defenders. There are always defenders.

Some try harder than others but there are loads of fake female accounts on here. You can often tell from the writing style and language. I have given up reporting things on here to be honest. I have reported accounts that are blatantly fake, I have reported AI images, even accounts that started off male.and have then been 'taken over by their partners'. One account i reported is blatantly trying to scam on kik etc, another using 10 year old pics and vids from porn hub Nothing is ever done. In fact I was once hit with 40% of the forum is female (no 40% say they are). Also the fact the verification on here is just that they are an adult etc not that they are who they say they are, even then people like 'Kelsey Rose' just gave a fake ID.

As for people giving the benefit of the doubt, has anyone noticed we have an unofficial UMD welcoming committee within minutes friending any female. You will see the first few friends always being the same people. Honestly this forum and some of its members remind me of the nudest beach scene from Eurotrip.

Anecdotally, I did introduce my date to WAM very early on (within a week of meeting her) but then I was young and stupid, so thankfully we're still here to tell the tale 17 years later.

It wasn't on UMD, but I got catfished by a fake 'pie milf' account on Instagram that ended up being a random scammer who found out my irl name, address, and familial information. They then blackmailed me for over $400 to not out me to my family, coworkers, and neighbors. I paid because there really wasn't any choice.

They even had actual videos posted over the course of a few weeks. Granted, I was reckless with giving out what ended up being identifiable information, but sometimes fake accounts or scam accounts can be quite deceiving. It really sucks because it makes people less likely to trust others who truly understand this kink.

I friended a female clown account when I first got back on the platform. After over a year of no response, they finally accepted the request and I found out it was someone else who I actually knew on the site and had interacted with multiple times (who was male.) They admitted to me that the account in question was an ex-gf's account and that they were taking it over but even after a month it was never updated to reflect that it was a male running the account.

As a footnote to all the above, for those who haven't noticed yet, "rooney2025" has now deleted "her" profile. And all without posting a single messy pic or clip. But of course.

I believe that's the figure that Google gives for site visitors overall, MM has posted the stats in the past. The forums are clearly overwhelmingly male and the few female users are mostly producers so here mainly for commercial reasons, though some may also be genuinely into wam as a personal fetish.

I do know that more than one female model has told me they prefer shooting for us than going it alone, just because having a male producer between them and the toxicity on-line is a protective buffer. The problem isn't something this forum (or any individual forum) will be able to solve, it's endemic in wider culture.

To give an idea how deep the problem runs - I have lots of female friends with a large age range. One of the older folk recently asked if younger women still get inappropriately propositioned at work - and the response from younger women was overwhelmigly yes. I know someone who at 16 year old was sexually assaulted by a journalist sent to her school to cover exam results day. I know lots of women who've been groped, touched up, pressured into stuff they didn't want do do, all the way to rape, by threat of being sacked. And just about every woman I know has been sexually assaulted at least once. In contrast, as a cis bloke, I can count the total number of times I've had something remotely inappropriate happen on the fingers of one hand, and even then none of it was in any way serious or a threat to my safety, and that's over almost 60 years of life experience.

So, the chances of a random actual female wammer suddenly appearing here, other than as a model / producer, is about the same as winning the lottery. Yes, it does occasionally happen, and we do have genuine female members who are genuinely into the fetish. But they very much protect themselves, because life has taught them that they need to.

Completely agree with this. I'm fortunate enough to have a friend of mine (Gretchen, for those aware of our profile) enter this kink and while we have tight clothing as a thing very much in common, wam is certainly tickling her love of degredation and she is, shall we say "becoming enthused".

All things being equal, I think she would absolutely be operating an account on here, genuinely being interested, curious, and in it for the love of the game. However, her experiences with kink scenes in general, wider cultural problems, and our own experiences with a couples account (while nothing abusive yet, we had to put up a "no single guys" on our profile close to the start due to the sheer volume of requests we were getting, and that was a couples account...) means that's not going to happen.

Due to there not being many dedicated female accounts on here, she would absolutely be bombarded I suspect, and while they wouldn't be abusive, all it would take would be one tit feeling ignored to say something dickish. While I have no doubt they would be banned, the damage would be done - it only takes one person pissing in the soup to ruin it.

I can't say if this has always been the case, but within memory I've never looked for people on here to mess due to it not being really possible for the above mentioned reasons. More, I find people in my life who very much want to do this with me as a shared thing (one of those emotional/physical/trust/interest things) then display my results here. I would put a £5 bet on the fact that 99-100% of the amateur couple producers on here, very much do what they do from that starting point.

In short, if you're looking here it's unlikely to happen. If a hot lady wants you, and wants you to be in her life, and doesn't think you're an emotionally stunted ass, (and if they're kink friendly, you also gotta match the level of vanilla here), then you are more than likely having someone covered in goo in your life who will be sticking around. Pun intended.

I run a forum for a different fetish and the very (VERY) few girls that register and do indeed prove they're girls are quickly bombarded and run off. They get absolutely hammered with a shit ton of DMs and requests for meetups.
