This bundle has 16 slapstick sketches showcasing the world's stupidest, most groan-inducing comedy writing. The actresses really give it their all, and their performances are so good, you'd almost believe they didn't know they were gonna get plastered with pies and slime. Almost.
Some of the sketches are in Japanese with English subtitles, but in many scenes the actresses soldiered on in English, even though it meant learning lines in their second language. It was truly a pleasure teaching so many of my cute friends how to say phrases like "I wish for a pie in the face" and "I prefer pie" and "please hit me with a pie."
It was especially satisfying as a serious writer to hear the girls deliver heartfelt lines like "may I please have a bucket of slime on my head?" and "Hey asshole! Pie! Now!"
In Kahiru's case, for the scene 'The Doctor's Office,' even though her lines are in Japanese, I'd like to think that she still learned the true meaning of certain English phrases--or more specifically, what it means for us if you're in front of the camera and say "I don't know."
Our actresses were so dedicated, Yuri and Sakura even learned a choreographed fight for the "Pie Fighter!" scene that we shot outside in a park, in costume. The joke here is that I'm not even joking. Does the fight eventually move indoors where it turns messy? Who knows.
I should also note that, strangely, most characters in most of the sketches seem to end up barefoot by the end, too. You'd almost think that these pie and slime fetish scenes were being directed by a guy with a foot fetish. Weird.
