Rika is a beautiful, young woman from Osaka who answered an internet ad for "pie models" because it was something she'd always wanted to do. When I e-mailed her and explained that we'd be not only hitting her with a lot of pies, but also dumping gunge on her head, she got super-enthusiastic. Then, when I asked if she'd be interested in doing a sketch with costumes, too, she was totally freaking out with excitement. And then she sent another, more timid e-mail: "I forgot to ask... How much is this gonna cost me?"
When I explained that, of course, WE'd pay HER, she was blown away. I probably could have asked her to marry me then and she would have swooned...
