Regardless of any politics things are going to get dicey as different places open. My governor for instance is hesitant in "reopening" unaffected places as it's essentially advertising people in affected places that there's now somewhere they can go to get rid of their cabin fever. The problem is the very real actual fevers that will ensue.

While a shindig in autumn would be rad and I'd be the first one down for one, it's also the beginning of flu season and this virus mimics the flu in symptoms. Regardless of what happens, it's going to be a very weird rest of the year.

Please STAY HOME!!!!! Our idiot governor opened the state 2 weeks ago. Last week we had over 1k cases. Today we had the single highest death day of the pandemic. Our state was not ready to open. People are not social distancing and are not wearing masks. WAM is NOT worth dying for or worth possibly getting your loved ones sick. This will all pass.

At least 1/3 of our country is insane. Civil war not off the table. God help us.

YUUP I feel really bad for the sensible people in those areas that have government that said go back to work or no more unemployment...oh, and no you can't work from home even if it's feasible.

Wisconsin's supreme court just gave their governor the finger and just reopened. Crowded bars, the whole lot.

I get that different places are affected differently, but when you advertise that "you're open" you going to attract a lot more than just the locals.

I watch the business news all day, every day. Opening the country is not working anyway. Georgia was the first state to almost completely reopen with few restrictions. There, most people are staying home anyway, most people are not going to work, spending is way down and unemployment is at 40%. In states where they are opening up, had few or no restrictions, and allowing crowds to gather have the fastest growing Covid rates. Stay the FUCK home people!

The Orange Clown can say whatever he wants, the people are smart and riding this out. The world has dramatically changed forever, there is no normal, only the new normal. Microsoft, Facebook, and many other companies are predicting only 25% of the workforce will be working in an office in the next few years and millions upon millions of new jobs will be created such as delivery drivers, cleaners, AI, cloud services, IT, tele-everything from medicine and school to marketing and socializing. Entire new businesses will pop up. Airlines will be replaced by massive fleets of small commercial private jets, there will be private drive in theaters, hotels, restaurants, health checkers and virus tracers. The loss of jobs is temporary, there will be MORE jobs in just a year or two. And most will be working from home with great pay and health benefits!

For now, invest in AI, 5G, cloud computing, micro chips, delivery companies and e-commerce companies... Amazon, WalMart, Target, Costco, Best Buy... ANY of them. And until this is over, silver and gold.

This will never go away. It already has mutated hundreds of times. Just like the flu, it will be controlled but we may never have a magic pill and be free of it. Life has changed and we will ALL adjust!

People won't go back to work unless they have to. Two of my brothers work in the restaurant business. One is local and a chef, the other is in San Diego and a GM. Both of them are now making more money than me on unemployment than I do working overtime.

A LOT of people are in the same boat. I mean why bother. There's risk out there, and the government will pay me more money to stay at home.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that the people that are out there protesting and demanding the reopening are the ones LITERALLY making is so that we CAN'T because the stupid fucks are out there spreading it.

I truly believe that de-unification of society is the principle goal of the POTUS. His "outsider" platform worked to get him elected. His only play to maintain that status is to defy the very directives that responsible governing demand. He must keep his supporters enraged and engaged. Weirdly, every government failure is a win for him. It also seems that since the "deplorables" title was bestowed on his voters, every derogatory name they get called gets worn like a badge of honor.
How can we convince them that we are all in this together when their very identity demands both, "us" and, "them"? There are too many hypocrisies to attempt logical intervention. I choose to protect myself and family, allowing those who are tired of responsible behavior to become the sacrificial lambs of our future resolve.

Russia, China, Iran and NK are actively involved in using social media to further divide us along racial, economic, gender, religious and every line possible... guns, gays, god, abortion, lockdown... everything in a free society, and there are very powerful forces at work, often referred to as the blow it up billionaires, who have guided the destruction of our republic with the help of those outside influences. Trump, like every president, is the puppet of the powers that be. In this case, the Steve Bannon world of blow everything up and let the 1% pick up the pieces, enslave the remaining population, and create a new world order where America becomes an all white, all christian, all straight nuclear power where the nazi's will be used as a police force.

According to research, this virus is supposed to get way worse in the fall(numbers wise). I know it's disappointing, but meeting up or the hosting of messy events is just unrealistic and, quite frankly, a horrible idea. We just need to wait and accept what is going on right now. Life could be like this for a long while.

Guys!! I live in Victoria (Vic) Australia we are now in our 2nd lockdown Since the 2nd of August and not due to be lifted until the end of September and under some of the strictest rules the world has seen including fines from $200 AUD for NO MASK!!!

Not allowed travel more than 5km (3 miles) form home unless Emergency Worker or Exemption with permit. No permit Fines start at $2,000AUD or $1,600 USD more fines are applied if court passing 5km (3mile) Limit x per 5 km's travelled.

All state boarders are physically closed and maned by Cops both State and Fed, and Army and other Federal Agencies are enforcing this - again No Permit or Exemptions fines apply.
If travelling interstate some States like Queensland (Qld) require a mandatory 14 day Quarantine State Stay before being allowed in the state. Both Western Australia and Tasmania have banned anyone from Vic entering these States.

Curfew from 8pm to 5am all Cops and Army patrol every back road as well.

1 hour exercise is permitted per day and for shopping again Must Have Mask and inside 5km limit.
Not 2 trips - only 1 trip and only 1 hour.

Home delivery drivers must carry Permits . eg. Uber Eats, Menu Log, etc... upto 10pm Exemption. Other workers Must have a Work permit!

Carry hand sanitiser in car or hand bag - I carry a 30ml bottle in my jeans pocket and 200 ml bottle in car console.

Wipe shopping down once home with detergent soap and cloth as the Virus has been proven to active upto 10+ days allow to dry or wipe dry with 2nd cloth,
Do Not Use if you have done 1 item then the next.
Wipe all shopping 1st then wipe dry with a 2nd (different) cloth.

Everyone here (Vic) including myself is on some sort of government support payment
- businesses get different support payments starting at $5,000 AUD per week.
These lockdown Laws have caused some people to locked up by Cops and 3 even shot!!

There are other Health Issues relating to this matter which after chatting with Mess master (MM) I found out you guys in the States (USA) little or next to NO NEWS about COVID-19 unlike here in Oz we are blasted with everyday since March re: Ruby Princesses. This ship was allowed to dock with 3,000+ passengers on board and over 100 people were infected. the Virus, then spread across the whole of Australia and even people returning overseas, which later proved to be carriers and COVID 19 positive. Some of these people have sadly since, pasted. It is also proven that returned passengers and security guards are to blame for this 2nd lockdown as well. Hotel quarantine failure !!!!

This lockdown is hard on everyone including businesses of all sorts. Hospitality sector has lost 1 million people across the whole state out of 5 million people. This is from producers to wholesalers to businesses owners, restaurants / cafes to consumers. 90% of all business is now done online from big retailer outlets to small businesses the same as this site (MM). Big retail shopping centres the equivalent of Walmart (US) are now fully closed. Except for business outlined by the State Governments Website.

I have, including medical info about people whom have lived after being infected with COVID-19. As there are other health issues and these are things like brain function, kidney, liver, heart troubles, physical skills with both arms and legs. Not just lungs and ventilators. These are some of the medical conditions reported so far. There are other unknown longer and last effects. Most of the reports are from front line doctors whom themselves have been infected and can no longer work in the health profession, after treating COVID -19 patients.

New Zealand closed an entire city on the South Island in August, just because of 3 new cases and Curfews and a harder Lockdown than what we in Vic are facing now. In both Australia and New Zealand there are 5 levels of Lockdown Laws and Movement Restrictions. This was done over serval weeks with the NZ Prime Minister and ours ScoMo (Scott Morison) and all senior heads of Medical teams. They were at Level 5 for 2 weeks which is the incubation period for the Virus to show itself in a person. This is way there is a Mandatory 14 Days Quarantine Stay in all States of Australia, when travelling either, from overseas or interstate via air or road, and sea in most cases, (unless Permits or Boarder Passes). Victoria went into lockdown over several weeks 1st done by post codes, then 1/2 of greater Melbourne, then the whole State. This has been spilt into 2, Zones. Zone 1) Greater Melbourne and Geelong, Zone 2) Regional or country Vic. Numbers were only in the low 100's then 200's upto 500's, then full lockdown max high 700's and low 800's Cases Per Day!! Some of our hospitals were stretched too their limits and being just for COVID 19 cases. Most are the elderly from nursing homes and Yes!! Medical Staff themselves!! All non emergency surgery is and been been put on hold. This includes, standard operations, and X-rays general hospital visits to see both doctors and specialists in all fields. I work in the science field in case anyone is wondering and this is why I have so much info. YES!!!! TRUMP has this information on HIS DESK via, medical teams in the US, UK, EU, Asia and others. The Governor of NEW YORK released part of it, that's why the whole State of New York and New York City went in to 5+ weeks lockdown.

As of this week 28/9/20 the restrictions here in Vic are now some what lifted.. as ours are now lifting other countries mainly in Europe are now facing their 2nd wave of COVID 19, as this is an international problem not matter where you live please try and Stay Safe.

Well !! No one is calling it a "HOAX" any more !! Now that Donald Trump AKA "The Don" or "TRUMP" now has COVID 19 !! This is now a BIG International Problem with the US primaries are nearly over and the election itself only a few weeks away!! This has but stock markets and others in to a over drive spin!! Now TRUMP is in private Hospital and in isolation this is not unusual for treatment. However this now affects his re-election campaign. The Q) if his condition ends up similar to Bores Johnson then Trumps recovery could be past the election itself. The second Q) if have if Trumps condition does get worse then would the Republican Party beable to find a replacement in 2 weeks???
