So I was wondering what everyone's take is on this video. I personally feel like it is a gross misreprisentation of sploshing. (And sorry if anyone's posted this vid before I didn't find it if so!) Someone sent me this and I finally got around to watching it today and was left feeling really weird about it, but more than that, determined to make a Wamumentary that is responsible and covers the many niches, substances, situations, and reasons people develope our wam fetish. For example, I've always loved getting muddy and in silly messy situations in a way I knew was a bit different than most people I know, but I didn't look a a pie in the face as sexual until it was introduced to me by an ex boyfriend. I know my reason is in a tiny percentile though. Although this dominatrix seems beautiful and intelligent and im sure she's a great person, I do think it was wrong to do a public piece proclaiming to be a "sploshing expert." I don't even think their is such a thing! Haha! If there is such a thing im 100% sure this person is not it.
So, what's yalls take on it? In reading the comments I definitely want to cover the idea of "food waste" in the documentary. As Dr.Z suggested maybe we can even find a food waste expert! I really need everyone's input on this project. It isn't soley about wam, but the half that is I do NOT want to screw up for us!
Some sort of screwup trying to edit post!!! Agh!!! Here is the video! And poll really should read "Does this video accurately describe what sploshing is to YOU?"
Harley said: I've seen a few videos by that dominatrix, and I think what she does is interesting. She's certainly an expert in what she does- I'd never considered how fizzy drinks would react with other substances to give different sensations, for example.
It does seem, though, that what she's doing is mostly about sensation play, rather than about getting messy itself. There are so many facets to WAM- the gameshow people, the slapstick ones, those like me who are into the humiliation and unpleasantness, and many others- that it'd be very difficult to be an expert in more than one of them.
I agree 100%. Honestly I think that's what bothered me. The blanket statements on such multi faceted fetish, and the description of "sploshing expert." Any expert would have to mention game shows and television! Haha. Reading the comment section hurt my heart a bit, and left me feeling misunderstood. It's a fun video though, and they are sexy as all outdoors!
Oh! And to the people that had commented Im sorry about the post screw up and start over deleting your comments! Come back and rejoin the discussion!!!! (My computer illiteracy strikes again!)
I voted for no, it's not. For one thing, the appeal of WAM/splosh aesthetic more than it is any other sense, and doesn't have the ties to BDSM that the video seems to imply. It also completely erases gunge/slime and focuses entirely on food. I pretty much gave up on it when she mentioned using goggles.
Also I always try to avoid reading what other people think about my kinks on the internet!
That is a brilliant idea! NO ONE READ COMMENTS SECTION, I HAD TO!
I need to though for this documentary project. I watched it and thought about what a tiny fraction of wam she was covering and wanted to see the response. Im sure I'll have people saying im a sick twisted food wasting bitch when done as well! Hahahha!!! Seriously though, since Im also covering some ground other than just my sex and wam life it may humanize me a bit, and perhaps be recieved more gently. That's the hope anyway. If it's 100% hateful judgment I'll consider the project an absolute failure. Lol

I was waiting for someone to mention that!!!! Didn't take long! I totally thought "goggles?! Are you men or mice?!?!"
Although I have say it def has to do with texture for many of us. I change depending on the situation and who im wamming with. I can say I find laughter a turn on just as much as the texture and feel of slime running into my top.
This interpretation makes it palatable and stylish for a general adult audience. I've always noticed that explanations focus on the sensual when actually a very large proportion of the WAM population are passive, voyeuristic and happy to stay clean and watch it happen to someone else on the other side of a screen (and it's not just about food either, to echo VanillaXSlime). But masturbatory activity is not very entertaining or 'stylish', and neither does it convey a healthy and well-adjusted sex life - in other words: not aspirational enough to be deemed of interest. These docs are very much about adult lifestyle choices and less about fetishistic compulsions. Basically they cover WAM as a partnered experience.
The food waste, Maria, well, my take on it is really that in our western world of obscene wealth inequality, food wasted' on WAM is a piss in the ocean. My second thought is, that little (in planetary terms) we use in WAM is of any nutritional value anyway (Reddi-Whip- the answer to world hunger!)
It's a matter of appropriation. I reconcile it (excuse it) as an art material: I make movies featuring my partner and we use only food. She will get covered in more cream in one video than lots of people might eat in a lifetime but its purpose is fulfilled as a material which will exist forever in the pictures and films. The cakes smashed in a WAM movie attain a cultural status for me and significance. Other cakes are eaten and gone: they are equally wasted.
Trouso, I get what you're saying about the target audience of this video, do you think that it's the only way wam can or should be discussed in a public setting? Can you further explain about the healthy and sex life part as well?
I end up hanging out with pretty much all of my traveling session people and discussing wam at length. Most of the time because so many people have never spoken out loud about wam before. 98% of those people have "normal" and healthy sex lives outside of wam. Obviously, the handful lying to partners and meeting me in secret part isn't healthy, which is part of why I wanted to work on this project to begin with, to help normalize it so it isn't a forbidden topic to discuss.
The first part of the documentary will be the part that is "outing me," funny enough not to the public or family, but to you guys. It's about how I ended up saying "I don't give a flying shit what anyone thinks! I want to throw some pies!" Which in itself is a pretty long twisted story. Im hoping though showing both sides will bridge that gap of pointing fingers and people simply saying "that's gross" or "freak"or whatever other colorful and thoughtful comments they might come up with, to making me just another human that isnt defined by a kink.
Fingers crossed this all goes to plan and isn't a pipe dream! Haha
Sploshing is a complicated fetish, for comparison the various celebrities wearing latex to events are unlikely to be doing so as a statement about their alternative lifestyle! The sensual side of sploshing is a huge part, whether that's small applications teasingly smeared or the more full on approach it's the sensations of the textures and temperatures and possibly half a gateau in the nose that excite. I'm not a psychologist (did have one doing techy stuff for a while though who kinda wanted to study me) but I've always liked messy gameshows but for play the format means you can stay relatively clean unless it's rigged which rather beats the point of a game. I guess it's the reactions that appeal - some of the cutest expressions seem to come in the final moments before the mess hits!
Maria, I was all too aware of your fun in gunge when we sessioned! I think a wamumentary is a great idea although sensual play with food, being nailed with 100 litres of gunge in a tank and being thrown around a huge pool of mud are just a starter and even experienced sploshers have a long list of things to do! The domme sub angle is important too, some are very much in one area while others switch.
The trouble normally with things like this is that most of us tend to be camera shy so you end up with a masked chap with a disguised voice and it kinda overshadows the scene. Here with two pro dommes that isn't an issue.

I think it should be discussed in all ways, but I observe that it doesn't tend to be.
And I'm lucky that my own partner indulges my WAM and is very supportive about it as well as sharing a great and fulfilling 'conventional' relationship and sex life. But it was a very different story with my previous long term partners - and whilst I might have had sexual relations with them, WAM was a secret thing going on in the background. And that duplicity is not healthy for anyone.
Had there been no intimate relationships, (as I know is the case with many WAMmers), the solitude and isolation (alienation) involved in obsessive masturbation are surely not conducive to leading a life as a well rounded individual. One mark of human success is undeniably being able to function in relationships (of all kinds) and to be able to interact positively with others.
If you do your thing in mud your not wasting food at all and as for wasting food side of utmost of the time you can use things that are about to go past the experation date because it is going to be throw away anyway
There is an insane amount of "food waste" in the world, people putting food on each other when they are getting frisky I would imagine makes up a very minute part of it. As for the video...eh? Looks like it's just a dominatrix who sometimes pours stuff on subs? Whatever. Fetishes are so deep and complicated that any attempt to document them is gonna come out incomplete and limited. I don't think I'd call that lady an "expert"...but I would call her one sub in the beginning there quite hot. Nice curves.
Her style is a lot more akin to how I view things, with a proper dominant/submissive dynamic. It's a bit narrow however, to classify that view as the definitive way to view the fetish. There is a pretty diverse group here, some of whom like the mess for its own sake and some of whom are more after the BDSM aspects.
Also, I don't think at any point she claims to be an "expert." All I got is that she is a dominatrix who happens to splosh people. All she's doing in her videos is giving people who are into BDSM ideas about how to add variety to their sexual life. You can tell by the sites that host her actual videos:
Another thing about "food waste" is that yes, there are parts of the world that are starving. This is not due to a lack of food being produced in the world, or due to people in other countries consuming and wasting the food they have access to. There's so much produced that there's more than enough to go around. A more relevant factor is governmental corruption in many of those countries. There's food going into those countries, but it's not being distributed to the people. I'd love to see someone try and come up with a solution to that one, though.
Besides, how much food used in WAM is of any nutritional value anyway?

This is a really intelligent observation [which means I agree with it]. I have had this fetish since I was very young -- meaning I always felt "weird" or "warm" when a pretty girl got pied in the face on a television show I was watching. Again, this happened before I hit puberty, before I was a sexual person. To this day, I have never sploshed with someone or hit a woman in the face with a pie. Don't really feel a need to. I have been married for nearly 25 years and my wife knows about my fetish and would be willing to partake but I just haven't. For me, the scenarios in my mind and on video spark my imagination and fetish and any step to move that into IRL, I am afraid, would be a disappointment. In short, I am weird. However, I will disagree with anyone who says my experience of my very personal fetish is wrong.
I could not watch the whole video. I think that before people do these types of videos, they need to look at what is out there in the fetish they are exploring. In my mind it is just as offensive as one culture acting out things from another culture trying to understand it without consulting said culture. Yes, please experiment with fetishes, get your kink on. But for fucks sake be respectful about it!!!
I thought this was a pretty cool video, despite it not showing all aspects of sploshing (jeez, we'd be here a bloody long time to get all that in!) Maybe Americans don't quite get the British angle on sploshing (bit risque, more comedic & slapstick) - please correct me if I'm wrong
Sploshing is many things to many people - niche within niche, dirty, sensual, funny, crazy.......As long as all parties involved enjoy it. As for "experts", well we can all proclaim to be expert at what we know and have experienced for ourselves. The trick is to delve into what you don't know and learn from it.
Good luck with the Wamumentary - sounds like a great project
First let me clarify I know there is no one way to define Sploshing/wam and would never attempt to. That's part of what struck a cord with me in this video, the definitive nature of it, that could have been down to Vices editing. Maybe she said at some point this is just sploshing in this particular Bdsm context. Also to say again, I DO think it's incredibly hot and am not wanting to put down the women in the video in anyway.
Jojo, I've found that Americans and the Brits are all into a lot of the same silly stuff. I also wonder how many countries are represented on Umd? Hmmmm. Messmaster? I know I've spoken to people in USA, UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Poland, Brazil, Japan, Malaysia, Australia, Israel, and I feel like I'm forgetting someone. Ha.
And thanks Jojo, I hope this turns out well for us all and I don't just make an ass out of myself. Well, I think making an ass out of myself is pretty hot, but you know what I mean!
Thanks for all this input everyone! Please let me know if you'd like to be in it. I could use someone to get messy and mess me up for this! Finding someone willing to show their face is pretty difficult!
Sorry should have specified... People in England. That's where Im headed next and where I'll be meeting up with independent film maker. Thank you though!!!!! I have about 5 hours of travel footage to sort through as well. I think I'll have to get David over to England from Spain! For those that don't know... Dave is my bestie and was on tour with me for 2 months in USA. He's flipping hysterical!
I think your average Cruise ship or Big box department store wastes more food in a day than the WAM community consumes..(figuratively) in a year collectively. As pointed out.. mud/ water doesn't add to this.. Hersheys' syrup.. although it should be a food group unto itself, is not a staple for existence so usage should be elective. I hear some people add it to milk..
Maria.. you are well on your way to your PieHD This England trip should do it..
oh, to be a fly on the wall. ( or a victim in the mudpit)

I don't know if I have really sensitive eyes, or am just a total wuss, but even water tends to make my eyes burn and I have to keep them shut tightly. It's one of the reasons I'd make a terrible model (builds and appearance are the two others), but despite that, I do enjoy a good facial messing as much as any other body part!
That said, the rest of the video was definitely not how I think of WAM, though she did raise a few interesting ideas...
I just remembered this, Maria. A film student made a documentary with the late Bill Shipton about 7 or 8 years ago which is still up there on Vimeo. Doesn't cover everything, of course, but I think it does give a broader view. I think it's pretty good.
I think I echo what a lot of people on this thread have said which is that it was interesting and actually pretty hot to watch but definitely only a tiny chapter in the great book of wam.
