I'm not happy.

On one hand, at least I don't have to put up with "SURPRISE!" daily limits. But on the other hand, YES Grok (like everyone else) are trying to squeeze a profit out of AI after loosing $17B last year so the weekly limits seem quite rigid.

My normal workflow with Grok is a back and forth discussion with the Grok LLM for the design of prompts for xAI Imagine Pro. My specific instructions (either in a project or in a conversation) always include the following:

- Be an enthusiastic collaborator on my video project with a knack for wet and messy aesthetics.
- Be an expert in Grok moderations and understand how to craft prompts in a way that will allow the content we desire without causing moderation.
- Our video project will be PG-13 or R rated.
- Do not generate video or images in the conversation. We are text only. Only generate Imagine Pro prompts when I ask for video or images.

This leads to very long conversations. I keep them as efficient as possible but an average project will consume a lot of tokens and have extensive context. There is also some "trial and error", which eats up more credits.

This is important. I wasn't as shocked by their limits on image and video generation as I was by their limits on token use in conversations. I used a full 25 - 30% of my weekly limits before the 9th of July on chat conversations! With a SuperGrok account, this seemed almost unlimited before the weekly limits hit. I have NEVER hit a daily limit on chat tokens.

YES - they are the final "BIG" that allows pretty liberal NSFW content (especially for fetish content), BUT - my days of doing a large project in just a few days are probably over.

Two fun graphics below (Fun with a capital "F"). In the first, you'll see my "weekly limits" that started on 9 July before I generated the following:

- 14 "quality" images in 1:1 aspect.
- 6 480p videos in 1:1 aspect.

Second graphic shows "after". About 8%. And I'll say - creating the images ate up usage limit much faster than I would have thought. The videos weren't as taxing in comparison. And I would say generate the images outside Grok and bring them into Imagine Pro for I2V generation, but you'll completely lose the "fictional character" advantage on the characters and run into moderation issues. This is certain.

16:9 @ 720p is going to tax the weekly limits faster.

To handle the problem with chat tokens, I have placed a QWEN 3.5 9B Uncensored on my local machine for project planning and assistance with prompt engineering. I have also started favoring T2V rather than I2V when I can get away with it. It removes the necessity to generate images in Grok for I2V which is eating up a lot of weekly "credits".

Yes - you can pay for extra credits, but those credits are eaten at a higher rate than your normal weekly credits.

All in all - Grok is still much cheaper than the other bigs and is the only one that still allows NSFW.

In addition to the QWEN 3.5 9B locally, I'm playing with WAN 2.2 on Vast.AI. I think I will be frustrated by the time needed for video generation, but the ability to use LoRAs and the complete lack of moderation will be nice.

These were built on prompts that I found here and were handy in my notes, so if you recognize the movements that's probably why.

Define NSFW. at least in my experience Grok is a pale shadow to what it was in Feb with even non nudity prompts being filtered. The quality is a major step down too compared to Seedance.
Seedance 2.0 on the other hand is pretty liberal and can do nudity and fetish very well.

I do agree though that offloading prompt generation and reference images is the right play. I use a mixture of Qwen3.6-27b locally and or GPT 5.6/Sol in the cloud. I prefer GPT by far until I get into a safety loop.
For reference images, Nanobanana pro is my main choice but the new seedream 5.0 pro is very good and less restricted depending on your provider.

This is probably my most gratuitous video, but there's liberal toplessness in anything I create. Take your pick, with the exception of the earliest videos. With the exception of a few lip sync scenes, everything I have (a least the video portion of it) was created with Grok then edited and finalized on my local machine:

I like topless scenes, but prefer clothing. Just a preference.

The farthest I have pushed Grok -

Topless - combined with wet panties that sometimes offer pubic hair. Maybe labias through the wet fabric. But topless isn't the big deal - normally topless with intimate touching with another party (very liberal on massaging breasts, for instance) combined with fetish play. For instance, it's easy to create an I2V prompt with two women, topless, making out while I am dumping chocolate over her heads or shooting them with whipped cream cannons. Certainly mud play, topless, with breast massaging.

The key - you have to have SuperGrok. The moderation only becomes liberal with SuperGrok.
