For me with any session shoes complete an outfit as part of a session, especially a pair of high heels. Feel only time I'll go barefoot is if doing shoe filling, wearing multiple shoes in a session or I'm doing something particular in a session where I need to start barefoot and get to my shoes.
So the question to you is what do you see as your preference & why?
Definitely on. I have a thing where I pretty much only buy a scene if there are high heels involved. Even if they get taken off to be filled I want to see them go back on.
Crucially, they are coveted, feminine, items of clothing and incongruous to messy situations. In a WAM scene, nice clothing but a lack of shoes has a bit of a 'goggles and poncho' affect on me.
Heels are always worn by the model in scenes I've made (pref. their own) and are invariably the only item that remains until the end (except to be removed for filling, of course)
Lack of shoes can be a deal breaker for purchasing scenes, too. There's a great scene out at the moment - marred only by the models' lack of footwear.
I love heels and the shape they give not only to the foot but the legs and rest of the body. Preferably worn with stockings or tights.
I quite like the way feet can look through the gauze of a stocking - but that's as far as it goes.
On a personal level, I don't particularly like feet.

This is pretty much how I'd view it when comes to heels, for me they complete the outfit and just look amazing especially when all wet and messy. Fair play for sharing a couple examples too.

I like both. It depends on the scene tome. The very best is when it starts out with shoes/heels and either changes or goes to socks and stockings then barefoot.
Definitely ON its not a proper wet n messy session without them. It's just what a beautiful pair of shoes were designed for. High heels, or sneakers, get them wet and messy
Feels weird going without shoes so I'll have some that go with whatever I'm wearing, but I cheat because they're really cheap ones from a nearby thrift store.

The average shoe is a lot more resilient than you think.
I always prefer to keep my high heels on. Its one of the main reasons i like to dress up and mess. For all the reasons stated above. And i definately agree with trouso that they are tougher than you would think. All my shoes that i have messed over the years have survived messy sessions very well provided you rinse them out properly and more importantly dry them out completely before storing them again. Ive only had one or 2 pairs fall apart when ive been out in mud but that was only after many many repeated heavy messings and they have maybe not been dried out properly. And even that was in my early dressing up days when ive really had to hide and stash stuff away.
It has to be heels on for me, they extenuate the legs and they have to be nylon clad, stockings preferably, and thin denier nylon as well non of the thick opaque stuff. No heels or bare feet I just scroll past.
I'm going to say it all depends on the circumstances, outfit, and also practical considerations.
The other year I bought a wetlook scene from a now-gone producer, where a girl in a nice trouser-based casual outfit was going to step off a low jetty into a small boat harbour and walk around in the water gradually going deeper and deeper until she was totally soaked.
But the producer had given her high heeled shoes to wear. And as a result the scene is an unwatchable disaster as the poor girl desperately struggles not to break her ankles trying to walk on an uneven seabed in spike heels. Neither she nor us watching get any chance to actually enjoy her clothes getting wet because of her constant struggle to not end up disabled. For that scene she should have been wearing trainers. If you want people to wade into the sea on an uneven stony seabed, give them practical footwear so they can walk confidently.
This is the reasons many of our outdoor wetlook river scenes feature the girls in wellies, or practical chunky flat-sole boots. Booking three models for a day of river wetlook shoots and then spending most of it in a hospital ER because someone sprained or broke an ankle during the first shoot is not my idea of sensible shooting policy.
However, in the right situation, heels can be fabulous, while my own taste is for flat boots, I recognise how heels can improve an accentuate some outfits - see attached shots of Lucia who is about to wear chrome heeled playboy boots and a PVC catsuit into the mudbanks. Unlike on stony river bottoms, heels are fine in mud, they just sink right in and the wearer is still in full control of her feet. And even I'll admit these ones look amazing!
For anyone interested, it's scene gm-4m024, currently on Langstonedale.com, hits the download store end of July.
As to the shoes / barefoot question, again, it depends on outfit, style, and model's own preference. Some of our people absolutely love the feel of barefoot mess, and ask to be barefoot in some scenes. Barefoot works fairly well with swimsuits (though boots also work well there), shorts, some leggings-based sporty sets, or light summer dresses and skirts worn bare-legged, and can actually work with simpler styles of formal gowns, for the "peasant girl made it to the gunge-ball" look. Or with jeans, trousers, or overalls, with the legs rolled up a token amount for a "didn't mean to get wet on the beach, honest! (but I did really)" look.
But conversely, many outfits really need shoes or boots to finish them off properly. Skin tight jeans tucked into long boots is an awesome look, office pencil skirts and blouses, worn with tights, definitely need shoes or boots to finish them off, and boilersuits and overalls usually look best tucked into wellies.
Plus from a WAM perspective if you're wearing boots or shoes that's a whole extra way to get messy, either fill them while being worn, or take them off, fill them with mess, and then slide clean feet back into them, enjoying the squishing as bare or stockinged feet slide into and are engulfed by the gloop.
I like being barefoot. I have a foot tickling fetish, so I get more satisfaction when I am without shoes. It's such a nice feeling when the dirt tickles my feet, goes between my toes, mmm. Sometimes I want to wear high heels. I like pointed-toe shoes with a metal heels. It's rare, only when I'm wearing a Mistress costume. Shoes may complete the look, but not add to the sensation.
Definitly high heels!! I also got turned on by them! No look is complete without high heels. And it have to be high heels, sneakers do nothing for me... I even love bikini girls in heels.
Unsurprisingly some here have a shoe fetish and some a foot fetish, which fits well with what we know about the prevalence of these fetishes. The only remarkable thing is that no-one's said "not bothered", though that may simply reflect the way the thread title was worded.
For what it's worth, for me it has to be bare feet, really regardless of the outfit. With more formal wear Dungeonmaster's description of the look as "peasant girl made it to the gunge-ball" describes the appeal well. But then I even persuaded my wife to be barefoot under her wedding dress!
Normally I prefer my slime victims to be completely dressed in such a way that it looks like they were not expecting to get messy. But I also have an affinity for the old show, and the actors there were always barefoot, so I tend to lean barefoot. There's a fun tension that builds seeing someone fully clothed but barefoot, the tension of knowing they're about to be slimed, that they're prepared for it and not prepared all at the same time. Or something. I don't know...
I'm a shoes-on kind of lady, always keeping my heels or boots on for a soak or mess But I always tend to soak everything I'm wearing or carrying at the moment, usually after coming home, so I expect it of myself, haha!
I usually like to wear my high heels to make a mess and then take them off to feel everything with my bare feet, then I proceed to fill the shoes completely with slime and then put them back in with all the mess! It is a very satisfying feeling without a doubt.
I, like yes2wet, prefer well dressed women wearing dark dress socks. The entire allure of a clip hinges on the trousers and the quality of the socks. I like when the clip starts out with the shoes on (hopefully they are a loafer or ballet flat variety) and the pants begin to ride up the calf revealing the subtle wrinkles of the socks (not sheer nylons). Eventually, my hope is to see the shoes come off with the main focus on the dark, dress socked feet. And yes, the moment the socks come off my interest is lost completely.
