It it with a heavy heart that I pass on the news that Producer, Wammer and Friend, GungeyChris passed away last Sunday after a lengthy battle with a brain tumor. For those of you who knew him, Chris was an amazing guy who loved the community and those in it and I feel extremely honored to have known and modeled for him.
During his illness, Chris and his family and friends worked relentlessly to raise money for The Brain Tumor Charity, and there is no doubt his legacy will live on through this amazing work. If anyone would like to pay tribute, please private message me and I will direct you to his fundraising page.
I'm not quite sure what will happen to his UMD account and the stores he headed, however it is most likely they will be shut down in the next few months.
I would just like to say thank you to you all for all those times you made Chris Wammer of the Day and bought our videos. He was a pleasure to work with and will be missed by many.
This is very sad news, such a young guy. His WAM angle was as close as you could get to mine, one who appreciates beautiful hair and a fan of the simple 'lady in chair' approach to WAM.
Meg I know you are the main star of his videos and I would love to see you carry on in his honour. But I know that's not the important thing
Always a sense of shock and helplessness when friends pass away, especially at such a young age.
on a sidenote maybe we need someone to initiate and promote a gunge bucket challenge to raise awareness and funds for brain tumours in the same way the ice bucket challenge has done for ALS I'm guessing Chris would love that
So sad to hear that my good friend Chris has passed away. I read his blog about his tumour & how he coped with it. I never realised how ill he was until I read the blog.
I'll never forget when he came over to the 1st Liverpool splunch (which replaced the Warrington splunch). Waiting for the train back over to the Wirral, not only did we both impersonate "D.I. Harry Batt" (famous geordie coppah off Dick n Dom) but also played "Bogies" on the platform and I totally embarrassed myself (Candy Custard was there too, joining in) - Good times
