Seeing as the realistic quality of AI has improved so drastically since that first post, what happens if someone creates an image with AI kids in the background? I mean, they are not real, it was unintentional, and yet, it represents underage people in a wam photo.
I don't recall this being discussed yet, and if I missed it, I apologize.
These are the current rules as displayed on the photo upload form:
Photos must contain wam, or be yours personally. Non-wam photos must go into albums marked non-wam. Get permission before posting what's not yours. If it's not yours, credit the owner or source in the description. Computer-generated images must be labeled so in their captions. Illustrated characters must clearly look like adults. Any violation may get your entire album deleted.
The second last two cover the AI image situation, especially "must clearly look like adults". If you see something you don't think is right, click Report on it.
I'm 100% on board with this and always have been. Thanks to your great response, I now see where AI is covered, but it was hard to find when I initially looked for it.
By the way, my profile photo pokes a bit of fun at this, featuring a photo of 'Wam with miners in the background'.

It's a good idea for everyone to read through the ToS every now and then, MM updates it fairly frequently and it's written in natural language, not lawyerbabble.

LOL - but better if they were female miners. Lots of women are now entering the mining industry worldwide, which as both a lifelong believer in equality, and a fan of women in mucky overalls, I thoroughly approve of.

Hahahaha reminds me of when I co-produced a hacker porn dvd ages ago where we made the joke of "no miners allowed" in our intros.
