As of right now no uploads are allowed unless you're verified. Come Jan 1st it's gonna get every more strict. This is actually due to FOSTA, which as some of you might now, holds content providers responsible for anything posted/uploaded that violates the FOSTA-SESTA law, mainly designed to curb sex trafficking and minors.
So starting right now, no random idiot can create a PH account and start uploading your WAM vids. In order to be model verified, you need to submit your government ID.

Why couldn't they do this before I spent a year sending them over 3,000 take down requests? We'll see how all this works out in reality. Until then I'm still on an anti-piracy jihad.
yeah, um...about that, what about the amateur vids? Like muddymcmudd and all that? This is gonna cause some serious problem to those. And also, that law does privacy invasion! God dammit!

Starting Jan 1 in order to upload you'll have to be verified, which means submitted your gov't ID.
To be fair, you should only be posting your own content on such sites to begin with. And it only natural for a site that allows such things to want to avoid legal repercussions associated with posting such content. Porn producers have to have this information from their actors, at least in this function this law works in the same way.
The real question is, does this mean they'll start deleting non verified accounts and the metric fuck tons of porn associated with such accounts? I'm not holding my breath.
I'm all for not allowing underage stuff posted on these sites, but won't people just flock to the next place that lets them continue to upload whatever they want? Each of these sites that allows porn will need to have the same rules in place.

This is not youtube. It's porn and this is how extreme I feel it should be. You should only be able to upload porn not only with your photo ID, but with all the photo IDs of the models in the video and their consent forms.
I'm a producer and have to get exactly that - photo ID's and consent form from all the models I work with.

Personally, I hope this goes to all their other user-generated content sites, too. They also have paid model sites.
Yeah, well the porn companies were losing out money because people were just posting their shit to corn chub. They didn't really seem to care to much either. But then they started offering to buy out entire producers, BIG producers like Brazzers etc. And now, you'll find that if some anon user posts a full video from one of the purchased companies they pull that down really quick.
So part of me thinks Pornhub played the deniability game for all these years to either shut down competition or buy them out. Because let's be real, the US government doesn't really give a shit about monopolies in the adult industry. No government does.
He's more potato now than man. Twisted and evil.

And that of course is the real showstopper. As the old saying goes, if you want to find out how anything really works, follow the money. Hopefully this will be a paradigm shift away from piracy but the main trigger seems to have been the far more evil non-consensual and under-age stuff, which really should have been stamped on, hard, a long time ago.
This is great news for content producers and their patrons and fans - especially those of us who support producers of highly niche kink porn like WAM. Unfortunately, on the other hand, this puts us on the same side as the anti-porn crusaders who made this happen. Check out who is behind the movement to get PornHub to make this change: https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/pornhub-users-uploads-1.5840802 Ew

Been thinking, though: If you're a producer and don't have a verified setup there, this might be an opportunity for you. I had a look-see myself, and it's like a neutron bomb went off for the wam genre there - there's practically no content available, in comparison to yesterday, and, apparently, the flipping of one switch.
While technically these threads should probably be in non-WAM, I suspect new ones are just going to keep on being created unless one of them is left in the Messy forum (or cross-linked to all forums).
@KinkyCosplayer: The problem is that for years PH totally ignored the piracy problem, indeed some would probebly argue they encouraged it. I know producers who were badly hit financially by having their entire back catalogues site-ripped and uploaded to PH. I'm sure I also first read reports somewhere about some of the very dodgy stuff, non-consensual and underage, at least a year ago if not longer, and they did nothing. They should have taken a pro-active anti-abuse and anti-piracty stance from the begining.
Every time somene pirates content they reduce income for legitimate producers. Which ultimately hurts models through less work or no work. So I'm glad this has happend. It should have happened long ago, and not required the main credit card companies to bring the financial hammer down before it did.
But we shoudn't think this will be the end of the piracy problem. The bolder pirates will try signing up verified accounts and re-uploading, and while we can now probably more effectively get them booted the problem is unlikely to entirely go away. The price of freedom is eternal vigilence and all that. There'll also probably be an eruption of piracy on other video hosting sites too. Keep alert and keep a sharp lookout.
And also, however little sympathy I might feel for MindGeek, they are right that at least some of those who want to bring them down are the kind of puritan religious fanatics who's ultimate aim is the complete eradication of the sex industry and outlawing of women's reproductive choices and rights. These people are not any of our friends.
i am glad all the stolen stuff is gone. I just wonder whats going to happen to the types of porn that don't use models. Like you may use objects or something else
I heard someone say that XTube were doing similar, but I haven't checked that yet. I made an account there but never did get around to sharing any content there. As an amateur sharing for fun, I kind of prefer using a dedicated WAM site where more of the views will be from like minded people.
One downside to the change is where there isn't much wam stuff on there now it's made it harder to get producers models getting noticed I have seen some gunge videos from certain producers gone on there website and purchased videos

Xtube did the same as they are owned by the PornHub network. Everything I had there, including my profile picture... was erased. All my favorites too.

I'll take my chances. Toyota doesn't advertise with stolen cars.
