Don't worry! I don't think WW3 is going to happen because of this. I should keep watching the news though cause I'm a young guy and if the draft comes back...
I doubt we'll ever have another world war, too much is in place and the weaponry we have now means no one has the insanity+ability to try. This is just the media being their usual dickish self. That said there will be retaliation, political and probably terrorist.

Highly unlikely. The US DoD has has done a great job with recruitment due to constant advertisment and glorification of the military at any and all major sporting events! Also games like Call of Duty Black Ops have created quite the following to ensure the enlistment of low functioning neanderthals who want to 1v1 360 no scope someone in the Middle East. They DO have to constantly change their enlistment rules though, such as regarding IQ, test scores, drug use, criminal background, and percentage of body covered in tattoos.
The Marines and Army have plenty to go through before they scrape the bottom of the barrel. The Navy takes the smartest draftees because...well ships and technology, and the Air Force really doesn't draft because you need to be a fucking genius.
No-one is going to start an old-style nation-vs-nation shooting war, too destructive and too much risk to the means of making money. There isn't going to be a WWIII.
Instead there will be another upsurge in terrorist attacks, both in the Gulf and across the West, but as is the nature of terror attacks they will be small scale and pose no real risk to the means of production, which is the important thing. A few civilians will die in knife / vehicle / gun attacks, but that's just part of the plan. Meanwhile there are enormous profits to be made, weapons companies, anti-terror advisers, assorted experts, businesses making and selling various anti-terror protections (barriers round stadiums, etc), scanner tech makers, data analysts, military advisers, de-radicalisation program providers, etc.
And meanwhile the on-going attacks provide both the justification and the public support for measures to reduce privacy, enable huge data sweeps by security services, restrictions on protest and anti-governmental activity, etc.
Two things happened in the immediate aftermath of the strike on the Iranian general - arms companies shares leapt, and oil prices leapt (and as a result, oil company shares also rose).
You want to know what any game or action is really about? Follow the money.

Surely that cant happen. Keep hearing from wealthy actresses and congresswomen how oppressed they are. Surely their half of the population will therefore be the half enslaved for mass slaughter(otherwise rather than being the downtrodden oppressed ,they would in fact be considered to have more to a right to be alive, which is one hell of a privilege) ,as I assume they were in ww1 ,ww2 ,korea and Vietnam. it is weird though, when I look at those photos of corpses strewn accross ww1 barbed wire or in Vietnam how few 'oppressed' multi millionaires warren and clinton are in...

YUUP! Nailed it!
But you forgot "justification" for stricter gun and knife laws that further disarm and only affect law abiding citizens.

Trump wouldn't do the later, he would lose half his voter base. This will be a call to arms, everyone arm yourselves to protect against ISIS terrorists (who will suddenly find a permanent home in Iraq and Iran as the rest of the western world are evicted from those places) because there is NO WAY Iran want a group of radicals who hate the West and are prepared to kill on US soil.
Basically Trump has opened up a new wave of terrorism, while giving the terrorists a safe haven and funding by making someone their ally.
You guys that think there will never be a WWIII crack me up. If history has shown anything, it's that we kill because we are killers... we didn't get to the top of the food chain by being nice, kind, or sensitive.
Case #1 - Read The Foundations of Geopolitics written by a pissed off Soviet general the year the Berlin Wall fell. It's a long term plan to divide and destroy the West. Putnin was a KGB leader, he's been following the doctrine to the letter and 80% of it has already come true. The West is divided, weakened on all fronts, and Trump is pushing that agenda both at home and abroad. Also read up on the Blow It Up Billionaires.
Case #2 - Weaponry is too advanced? The next war will be a cyber war. They have been practicing and invading and shutting down our financial institutions, power grids, military, etc, etc, etc for decades. It's coming. All they have to do is take out a few satellites and bases and not a single weapon we have will work. Once the military, power grid and economy are taken out, within 3 days this divided country will be killing neighbors for food and water.
Case #3 - We have weakened, destroyed, nullified or alienated our allies... trade agreements, NATO and other defense agreements, we tell Canada, France and Germany to fuck off. We are alone and once the cyber war destroys the world's infrastructure and we start killing each other because of god, guns, gays and other stupid things, no one will care, come to our defense, or help in any way. We have been the world's agitators and forced masters for 200 years, most countries want us taken down. See point #1... China, Iran, North Korea and Russia are allies, hold massive war games, and have been hacking us for decades.
WWIII is coming and it will be a cyber knockout in a matter of hours. I was giving it 5-10 years but I think that has been sped up considerably. The middle of nowhere looks REAL good these days

Slow clap and par for the course.
Oh, and even MORE refugees, peppered with terrorists.

Fixed that for you. Before 45 we were only "agitating" the "Indians".
Also, this sounds a lot like the plot for "Goldeneye". is Putin a Lienz Cossack by chance?
Read The Foundations of Geopolitics and make up your own mind Mr. J, it outlines the fall of the West through instilling division, not war. It's almost complete. Putnin is a lifelong, diehard KGB agent running circles around the free World, and Russia was/is angry for destroying the USSR and leaving it to it's own devices, ie the KGB and the Russian Mob. We asked for this and are now in denial. What I see is actual collusion with their plan.
It is the Bible of Russia and it's allies and "advocates a sophisticated program of subversion, destabilization, and disinformation spearheaded by the Russian special services" of which Putnin is a master. hacking and influencing our elections is just a small part of it.
It outlines a plan, 80% of which they have accomplished. Read it and get back to me hon! WWIII will be a mostly cyber war. Weapons are useless.
Yes, because all those people who form an opinion after only reading 1 book are always knowledgeable and never go down the conspiracy theory / extremeist route. Ww3 won't happen, there is too much in place to stop it and too much money to be lost by those in power. Miniwars for cash and staying in power is the way forward. I'll save this thread and ask your thoughts in 5 years.
It's not a book, it is a long term plan devised by the Russian military to overthrow the West through unrest and instilling division. Read it and you will see that over the past 20 years, one by one, parts of the plan have been put in place... Brexit, NATO, election manipulation, annexing Ukraine, Iran becoming a strong ally of Russia, and on and on. These things are real, it's not a book, it's a plan, and here is a quick excerpt:
"introduce geopolitical disorder into internal American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and ethnic, social and racial conflicts, actively supporting all dissident movements extremist, racist, and sectarian groups, thus destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. It would also make sense simultaneously to support isolationist tendencies in American politics."
If you still think that it's a wild conspiracy theory, I'll go away, but at the very least you should do a little reading.

France are a nuclear superpower and still hold a very close military connection with the UK. We share a lot of joint naval interests.

I work in enterprise IT and attended a seminar with a leading firewall and security provider at the end of last year. I was there with a SecOps guy from the bank of England. Something like 80% of all the cyber attacks and state hacking comes from within China. A sucessful attack like this on major power/infrastructure services would be far more disruptive and fatal than any land offensive. Turn the people against each other.

I don't follow your reasoning. He is insane. And he certainly does have the legal and political ability -- so long as he can justify it to his generals as being a move "in context". About the latter: it's true that he doesn't have the political ability to nuke Mexico just for fun. But he could totally use low-yield nukes like bunker-busters in the context of some conflict that you're already in. He's too dumb to phrase any of this on his own initiative, so hawks like Pompeo will do it for him, and the military will follow orders.
I agree that there's no need for Americans to worry about a draft, since modern wars are drone-led. This makes it very easy to be a chickenhawk.
What the power elites really want is to protect oil extraction. The next 10 years will be especially desperate, as investors try to turn back the clock on unconventional peak oil. And of course ramp up revolutions in Latin American countries in a totally and transparently craven way. (We hit conventional peak oil about a year before the financial crisis, 2006.)
Americans do, however, need to worry about hurricanes, floods, fires, and droughts. People with power are counting on these things, because from a certain point of view, the destruction of property essential to life is a good thing, because every house destroyed is, all other things equal, an opportunity for building a new one. It's not as great for the insurance industry, but then that's all the more reason to make sure that most people don't get good insurance coverage.
I know you were being facetious, but I've lost my sense of humor in the past week, so I'll just say it straight up: intention has to be distinguished from prediction. His predictions that Obama would rattle his sabre against Iran when under duress just to keep the pressure off, tells us that he is knowingly doing that very thing right now.
Nothing to worry about. Trump will be gone one year and 12 days from now Then we will move on to the next crazy old mammal that sits in that oval office. From what it looks like we can only attract geriatrics to the Presidency.

Yup...and we could have had Tulsi Gabbard instead.
