Just wanted to remind everybody about our little Wiki. Everybody can edit it or and add new entries for wam substances, recipes, safety tips, or whatever. There's an entry on wam world records that is empty right now but I think could be fun, so if you think you hold a record in something, you can flex that there. There's also a new People & History section where I'd love it if we could have entries about some of our wam pioneers. If you knew them well, or know any history about some of the first wam sites or BBS's, please contribute! Oh, and the IWDB is still there, too.
I started two, one for me and one for GungeGirls.com. Kept them short and sweet as you're not supposed to do your own Wikis, so if someone with knowledge wants to flesh them out, feel free. If you want information, let me know.
Thanks to everybody who's been adding stuff and tweaking the wiki! I didn't expect so much activity, but keep it going. IWDB too!
I forgot to mention that any pictures used in the Wiki from stores on the UMD get credit. If you use a pic from a scene here, there is a space on the form to put that UMD Scene ID, and UMD will take care of the rest and link to it etc. An incentive for producers to participate!!!
Request: Please don't add anything to Spaghetti until I finish my post. Currently coffee and whiskey are soaking. the sacrifices I make in the name of knowledge
Question: If we use an image which has been previously posted on UMD, do we need to ask for permission first?
Just added a Contraptions and Devices section. If any producer wants to go add any of the crazy sploshing devices they've created over the years, feel free. You can make the Wiki link back to your scene as an example....

I would say no, if the image is from our download store system. In such a case, you can use the image, but please enter the Scene ID into the appropriate slot on the form. UMD will give credit as well as link to the scene automatically on the wiki.
For any other picture, just like the rest of UMD it's on you to make sure the image is in the public domain, or that you're clear to use it. But I think the stores here have more than enough pics for anything we'd need for the wiki.
I don't know how I could contribute. All I know are some very very trivial facts. In my own diaries, I put in a lot of trivial facts only for the purpose of creating a deeper, more connected, web of "logical connections" that could help connect me to
For example, I visited Lenny Sorge at his home in Livingston, NJ, either 2 or 3 times in the late 1990s: I recall once in 1999 certainly. I recall he came down to me in Bordentown to borrow my Hi-8 analog video camcorder for some shoot (possibly a non-wam shoot) in April of 2002.
I did not keep detailed diaries before 2006 because I STUPIDLY did not think about keeping them in small .txt files, as I do now.

Hmmm storing interesting patterns for hopes of finding a least common denominator later? Sounds more like theoretical physics to me LOL I have a Theory of Everything brewing myself.
