I am just wondering whether there is other people that also believe their WAM-fetish started by watching TV spots for detergents. I have been impressed by the magnificently georgeous clothes stained in these advertisements ever since I was a boy aged six or seven. The facial expressions of the predominantly very beautiful and expensively styled women losing their best blouses or their beloved dresses has been turning me on for thirty years now. I still search the net for new spots and collect whatever I can, especially when blouses are involved.
What I like to see very much in TV ads is the concept of cutting a stained blouse in two in order to demonstrate the superior capabilities of one product over the other.
Do you like these things too? Do you collect messy TV spots? I guess I am not the only one here
Well case in point was the Lion Bar commercial (think it was Lion Bar...) around 1998 where a mock detergent commercial followed a Lion bar ad, whereby the woman announcing the values of the detergent was deluged with chocolate, giving the impression the Lion Bar had hijacked the ad. The woman was absolutely covered and caught off guard which made the ad all the more appealing.
Thank you for bringing up this Lion Bar commercial again. I have it in my collection and it is a very messy one and very surprising when you see it for the first time.
Many Wisk commercials I have are on the 'ring around the collar' topic, while some others feature 'real stains'. I am more in favor of those with shirts or dresses stained.
I also like some of the older (1980ish) Era commercials where the 'stained after washing with wrong detergent' clothes are torn into pieces.
Here is some more pics of spots I like... btw...I have roughly 12.000 spots in video format.
Being a fan of clothed WAM and more specifically fancy-clothed WAM I too enjoy some of the classic tv ads with women getting their clothes messy. Where on earth did you find 12,000 ads worth? I'd love to get my hands on a collection like that!
I have been doing this for roughly two decades... to be honest - it is more than 12,000 video files now, but there could be duplications here and there. So it may be 11,000+ different spots, but constantly growing and not counting the collection of video stills that comes with it. Thank you Youtube.
In the days before Youtube I had the opportunity to link a video tape machine to my computer and to go through hundreds of old tapes... this started around 1994. So it is twenty years now... holy cow .
The size in terms of disk space of the collection is not too big as the older videos are usually in low resolution (640x480 or some even 320x200). Many of the newer ones are of course in high definition. On my dediacted WAM-Network Storage, the 'TV spots section' takes roughly 30GB only, while the rest I purchased over the years and what came through memberships sums up to roughly 3.5TB. So it is actually a small share of my collection but it features many lovely clothes, well arranged shots, close-ups of mess slowly running down beautiful tops and bloses, very beautiful facial expressions, very nice women, etc... I think it is really worth it.
Here are some more video stills as I think that writing text here is one thing, but seing pics or vids is what turns us on .
Thanks for sharing the pictures. I too love the facial expressions when the women realize their nice clothes are getting stained. I hope to see more like this in the future.
There's one old commercial I fondly remember: It showed an actress--I think it was Jane Russell--jumping into a swimming pool with her shirt and jeans on. It was to prove that her bra--which is what they were advertising--wouldn't show no matter how wet you got! If this is on the net, I would love to see it again!
And, on top of all these real ads, don't forget the Brady Bunch kids getting each other's clothes messy to compete in some sort of a laundry detergent contest! Jan & Marcia getting each other's clothes messy was pretty decent!
Red Stain on White Shirt... I know this is tomato ketchup, but I really LOVE to see lipstick stains! I you have pictures or videos with lipstick stains - please post them!
Does anyone have the commercial for one of the insurance companies in the UK aired 2000 - 2002 when the series Friends moved to Sky. It was a beautician who started off getting ready to go in to a bath full (and I mean full) of black grease/mud then next break she is sat in it settling in, the next break she is surfacing totally covered from a full submersion. Her facial expressions are flirty and fun.
Final scene has her sat clean and clothed talking to an advisor and some of the mess drips onto desk she gives a flirty look to the camera and covers the mark up on the desk with her hand.
What I learned thanks to this spot - all stain problems can be solved... some with a good detergent, some with a stain remover, while some others only with scissors .
Here are some additional pictures (actually vidcaps) taken from ads for a stain remover sold in Thailand. I love those huge stains . What do you think?
Great thread I'm wondering can any of the older UK members remember an ad for kitchen roll? It's a late 1970's ad and it's based around a husband and wife using the product around there home. At one point she picks up a custard pie and pushes it into her husbands face. He then uses the kitchen roll to clean up. Such a great ad
I hope somebody knows the kitchen roll spot and comes up with a link for you. Maybe the following video is also something for you? I like the way she messes up her own beautiful blouse - only to get it clean an messed up again . Very nice!
